Thinking about Christmas!

My Copic class gals wanted to get a head start on Christmas.  Ok, so we were a month behind those of you who started with Christmas in July, but it's a start, right?

I designed a tag and a step card for them to play with.  The digital images are from
Digital Delights by Louby Loo.
 This step card has a 5 x 10.5 base scored at 1.25, 2.5, 4.25, 6 and 8.25.
I added a 5 x 4 mat to the last step to hold the sentiment and snowflake.
The snow in hand cut, highlighted with Copic C0 and C1 then spritzed with Sheer Glimmer Spritz.
The images are from Caroling Petey and Polly and Carolers Accessory set. Everything was colored with Copic markers.

This tag was cut at 5.5 inches using the George cartridge.  The image is Holly Tree.
The greens used on both projects were our class colors for the month: YG61, YG63, and YG 67.

Have a lovely Labor Day Weekend!!!
Thanks for stopping by.

Make the Cut

What a fun challenge for our Delightful Challenges gals this week.  We were asked to use die cuts, punches and/or decorative scissors (now there's a crafty throwback!)

I've used the Watermelon Time Set from Digital Delights by Louby Loo for my project.  I also used Spellbinders Labels 3,  an EK Success border punch and corners punch, and Fiskars flower punches.

The papers are Bo Bunny Calypso Dream.

The sentiment is from the Keeping in Touch Sentiment Set.

I've used Copic markers to color the image.

Born to Play Ball

This image from Paper Crafting World is just perfect for my family.
Both of our daughters played softball from a very young age, each earning scholarships to play in college.
Now, our oldest daughter is Associate Head Coach at Texas Tech University.

The digital printable file is called Baseball- Angel Wings, but it was easy to change the color of the ball and make the bats aluminum so now it's a softball digi.

Don't you love this sentiment?
I've had these papers in my stash for a very long time.  I've made several mini albums for softball so I'm always on the hunt for unique softball papers.  I used Copic markers to color both images which come in the set along with the sentiment.  You can purchase this digital printable set
HERE.

Thanks for visiting.

I Love School

It's another Back to School project - this time for Delightful Challenges.

This week's theme is BACK TO SCHOOL - USE PRIMARY COLORS.

I've used the Party Apple digi from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.
Along with the digi, I used different circle and scallop punches, an EK Success border punch and Cuttlebug embossing folders.  I colored Party Apple with Copics and then added doodling with my Signo gel pen.

I am entering this card in
Crazy 4 Challenges "sketch" challenge.
Oldie But a Goodie "embossing" and using patterned paper which I've had forever!
Tuesday Throwdown "use your scraps" all of the papers on this project are from my scrap stash
Melonheadz friends "back to school"
Use Your Stuff "circles galore"

School is Cool!

Hi Crafty Friends,
I've been enjoying another week with family.  Our youngest daughter has been here for a week but is flying back to Champaign, IL tonight.  It's been a great summer having both of our girls spend time at home.

Today is my day to post at My Paper Crafting so I have two project to share with you.

First is an altered composition book.

I've used Paper Crafting World's Bookworm N Apple digital printable image.
If you love making altered comp books, now is the time to stock up.  I know Staples has them for 50¢.
I've used DCWV's Chalkboard stack for the slate.  This paper is so much fun.  If you use chalk pens (CTMH or Marvy), the writing can easily be erased - even after a month!!!

Next, I created this card using a PCW cut file and my Pazzles.

I've used PCW's cut file Loopy Swirls Card Set and a sentiment from
PCW's Just Because Sentiment Set
These beautiful papers are from DCWV's Mariposa Stack - yummy!

Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll be back Thursday with my Delightful Challenges post.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,

Cricut Saturday!

Good Morning!  I'm so glad you're here to see my projects for
My Paper Crafting's
Cricut Saturday
I have been so busy creating digital image projects that I'd forgotten just how much I enjoy using my Cricut.  I know many of you have switched to other cutters (ok, I also have a Pazzles), but I really do love using my E2 and the huge cartridge collection that I have.
For today's projects, I used all three of the CTMH cartridges - they are so versatile!
For this first card I used the new Artbooking cartridge.  Using the E2 made it so easy to size the images I selected because I could see them right on the screen (I don't use CCR).  Since all of the feature sizes are proportioned to the base images which are sized for page layouts, I used Real Dial size.
"Sweet" is the title feature on page 49.  The flower uses the icon images on page 48.  The tag is a border inage on page 50.  I also used the Paper Crafting World digi image Bear in Sundress with Daisies and colored her with Copics.  The ribbon is my own hand-died crinkle ribbon.  Finally, I embossed the mat and added Stickles for a little bling.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Die Cuttin Divas "Orange and White"
Crafting by Designs "Anything Goes"
Craftin Boutique Challenges "Anything Goes"

For the flower and leaf on this card I used the Art Philosophy cartridge.
The flower can be found on page 50 and the leaf on page 56.  I used a Pearl Pen to add some accents to the flower and card border and adhesive lace strips to border the sentiment strip.

The base and pop-up are from the Artiste cartridge on page 51.  The parts cut to the perfect size for an A2 card.  The papers are from the Carta Bella Cowgirl line.  I love colors!!
Finding the different cuts for these projects really made me want to spend more time exploring these cartridges.  Next, I want to use the fabulous stamps that came with the set.
Thanks for joining me today.  I hope you'll visit My Paper Crafting to see more Cricut projects.
If you're interested in these CTMH cartridges you can contact my consultant, Melinda Beltran (also owner of  Paper Crafting World) HERE.

Chef Luigi

Our challenge today at Delightful Challenges is to create
Anything but a card.
I have always liked this image of Chef Luigi from Digital Delights by Louby Loo and thought it would be perfect on a gift bag.  I think wine, pasta sauce, or a sweet treat presented this way would be a welcome gift.

For this gift bag I've used the following:
Digital Image:  Chef Luigi from Digital Delights by Louby Loo
Paper: Authentique, DCWV Chalkboard Stack
Washi Tape
EK Success punch
Signo White Gel Pen
Crafter's Floss
White gift bag (JoAnn's)

Please join us in our Anything But a Card challenge at Delightful Challenges.
Your project will be entered to win a prize from this week's sponsor

Design Projects for My Paper Crafting

Good Morning,
I'm so glad to be back to share two new cards I created for My Paper Crafting.
Both cards use digital images from Paper Crafting World.
This first card features a brand new digi titled Sea Turtle Sam Snorkeling.  Isn't he just so cute?  I used a wobble when I attached him so that he would appear to be swimming LOL.

I would like to enter this card in the Marker POP "anything goes" challenge #28 and
Tammy's Scrappin Corner "Anything goes with Sports" #75

This card uses Bear with Corn Dog.

If you're looking for great summer images be sure to visit Paper Crafting World.  Because these are digital images, you can size them to fit your special summer projects.  Digis work really well for page layouts as well as cards - give it a try!
And don't forget our
Cricutlicious Saturday
The MPC designers will be sharing all things Cricut for this special event.

Summer Memories 2012

I finally completed my daughter's memory frame.  I've had the papers and embellishments selected since the end of last summer but I guess I needed her here to decide exactly how she wanted things arranged in the frame.
So here is her memory frame with pictures and embellishments from our lunch on the Napa Valley Wine Train and her and her dad's day at the Giants game.

She left this morning :( after a false start yesterday.  She had a dead battery and dad wanted to replace it so she wouldn't have to worry on her long journey home.
It did give us time to add the Bygel rails, magnet board, and display wire to my craft room.  She's so handy with a drill and I finally have more places to store my punches and supplies that I want close at hand.  No, I didn't run her battery down so she would stay an extra day (but I was sure happy with what we accomplished!)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Red Riding Hood

Hi Crafty Friends!
I have a new project for my Delightful Challenges design team project.  I was writing the team post and went back to add some images and links.  Blogger gave me fits and wouldn't save the changes.  Have any of you been having that problem?  So frustrating!!!
Anyway, here's my project for the "Make it Pop!" challenge.

The challenge is to add layers and/or dimension so I added two mats along with popping up the grass, the sentiment, the butterfly and the main image.  I loved this DCWV paper from the Rustic Stack so I decided to make her Pink Riding Hood!!
The image, sentiment, and toadstools are all from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.
The butterfly is a MS punch and the grass is a die cut as are the clouds with the sentiment.

You're invited to see even more great projects and join in our challenge by visiting
Delightful Challenges.

Give Me Some Sugar

I'm posting today at My Paper Crafting.
My poor Cricut feels abandoned so I included a Cricut cut with my first card.

The digi is Bear with Lemonade Glass from Paper Crafting World.  The papers are Little Yellow Bicycle and the ribbon is my hand died crinkly ribbon with a bit of twine.  I used the Preserves cartridge to cut the lemon.

My second card used a precolored digital image from Paper Crafting World.

I wanted to add some dimension and depth to the image Tropical Bird of Paradise so I used Prisma pencils with a blender pen, atYou Spica glitter pens, and Copics.  The sentiment is also from
PCW - it's from the Just Because Sentiment Set.

Thanks for visiting!!!
