Moving Along with the Times March Challenge ~ Birds and/or Bees

Hi Crafty Friends,

We're using Birds and/or Bees for our Moving Along with the Times March challenge.

I used Jaded Blossom's adorable Gnome Friends: Bee die set.

Along with the die set, I chose to use the Bee Faces stamp set but the dies also have facial features if you want to use all die cut.  It's soooooo cute!!!

I also used JB's Bee Kind stamps and dies for the sentiment, Spellbinders Arched Labels for the card base and mats, LaLa Land Crafts honeycomb die and Note to Self DSP.

Looking forward to see what you come up with this month.

Pearly Sparkles February Challenge ~ Mixed Color Florals

Hi Crafty Friends,

We have a fun new challenge at Pearly Sparkles.

This month we're asked to create something using mixed color florals.  I've been trying to use some of the MANY new goodies that I've been acquiring.  For this project I've used the Gina K Designs Spring Fling layered stencil set.

The stencil set has four layers.  I used Gina K inks for the blending.  I also used Pinkfresh Studio's Dotted Scallop Cover Plate to add a little more interest.  I cut the mat and ink blended panel using Jaded Blossom's Scallop and Stitched rectangles.  The sentiment was created with a Betterpress plate.  I finished off with a few sequins, ribbon, and a butterfly from my stash.

I hope you'll play along with us this month.

Cut it Up Challenge #349 ~ This Makes Me Happy

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to our Cut it Up Challenge #349 ~ This Makes Me Happy.

Your project can be a subject that makes you happy OR it can be a favorite technique, crafty tool, or craft supply.

Here's my project sharing a new (to me) technique inspired by a Gina K Designs project video.
This project made for some happy moments in the craft room.

I've made an eclipse card before but never using patterned paper or eclipsing (is that a word?) all of the die cuts. Basically, the entire card it an eclipse.  I did want the letters to have a slight shadow effect so instead of stacking the letters on white, I used the green cardstock for the stacked layers.  I didn't want it entirely lost in the pattern design.

I hope you'll play along. Use the link above to share your project.

Moving Along with the Times February 2026 ~ Floral

Hi Crafty Friends,

We're asking you to use FLORALS for our Moving Along with the Times February challenge.

I've been trying to use all the amazing Pinkfresh Studio stamp/die/stencil sets that I've been ordering so this was a great challenge for me.

I've used Pinkfresh Studios Pure Joy pressplate stencil/die set.  I foiled the pressplate using my Glimmer foil machine then stenciled using PF inks.  I also used PF Ornate Rectangle die cut multiple time and stacked and splattered the background with lavender metallic paint.  The sentiment comes from the Betterpress You Are Everything plate and die set.

I'm looking forward to seeing your FLORAL creation.

BYSHcardmakers ~ February Sketch #66

Hi Crafty Friends,

I am so happy that I am a DT member of BYSHcardmakers.  Staying ahead of the holiday card making game is a crafting goal I look forward to.
It's time to share our February sketch #66.

I used one of the designs in the LDRS Woodland Christmas Cardmaking Kit along with a Spellbinders 3D embossing folder.  The kit also included ephemera so I was able to pop up the fox image for a little added dimension.  I also ran a white ink pad lightly across the embossed pine needles.

Here's the sketch for your inspiration.
I changed the orientation of my focal image.  Remember, the sketch is open for your interpretation.

You can find more inspiration of the BYSH blog linked above.
Join us by adding your project to our Facebook page HERE and then find the appropriate album in the media section.  The challenge will be open all month.

Pearly Sparkles Challenge ~ February 2026 ~ Hearts

Hi Crafty Friends,

Our February Pearly Sparkles challenge is HEARTS.

I went through my stash and found some papers and dies that haven't been used for a while and used them on this card.

The heart was created using the Concord & 9th Heartstrings die.  I embossed it before cutting it out using my Platinum 6 die cutting machine.  The patterned paper is from Doodlebug Designs.  This inside has a pop up element using dies from the SCT Create and Connect 2025 event.

I hope you'll join in the fun at Pearly Sparkles.

Cut it Up Challenge #348 ~ My Heart

Hi Crafty Friends,

Our theme for Cut it Up's Challenge #348 is MY HEART so we're looking to see a heart somewhere on your project.
I decided to venture outside my creative comfort zone and create something with random stamping, ephemera, and a vintage feel for this challenge.

I began with Pinkfresh Studio's Quilted hearts cover plate run over a piece of patterned paper then cut again with PF's Dotted Nested Deckled rectangles.  Then I got busy randomly stamping images from Simon Says Stamp Vintage Love Notes set and Jaded Blossom's Heart Splatters.  I cut out two LaLa Land Crafts hearts, one from patterned velum, and, finally added ephemera from Tim Holz.  Little bits of PF bling finished the card.  Definitely not my regular style but I like the result and had fun just "letting go!"

I hope you'll play along.

Products used:  Jaded Blossom Gnome and Girl Gnome dies, Baking Add on, Birthday Add on, Valentine Add on.

Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers ~ Sketch #65

Hi Crafty Friends,

I am so happy that I am a DT member of BYSHcardmakers.  These monthly Christmas sketch challenges guaranteed that I had enough cards for my holiday mailings (which was 61 mailed and 10 hand delivered.)
So let's begin the new year with the goal of having a full holiday card stash by Christmas.

Here's my first BYSH card for the new year.

I had the negative piece left from cutting the Pinkfresh Studio Holiday Foliage die which I added over some gold embossed patterned paper.  The sentiment is from Gina K's Shimmering Christmas polyglaze set and the gold and green foliage was in my stash.

Here's the sketch for your inspiration.

You can find more inspiration of the BYSH blog linked above.

Moving Along with the Times January 2026 ~ Stencil and/or Dies

Hi Crafty Friends,

Another monthly challenge is beginning its New Year of challenges.
Our first 2026 theme for Moving Along with the Times is
Use stencils and/or Dies.

I purchased the Gina K Designs 12 Days of Christmas Advent kit.
The Magnificent Magnolia Stencil set was Day 12 and it's stunning.

I also used Jaded Blossom's mesh stencil, Taylored Expressions A2 layered Stacklets, and the Fancy Sentiment Strips Betterpress plate and die.  I added Simon Says Stamp gold splatter medium.

I look forward to seeing what you create.

Happy New Year!!!
