My Time to Craft Challenge #378 ~ Christmas in August

Hi Crafty Friends,

I'm loving these Christmas challenges so I can stay ahead of the holiday panic!

My Time to Craft is celebrating Christmas in August.

This is another version of an Eclipse card.  I used Jaded Blossom's Christmas dies to cut the holly leaves and berries.  I cut multiples of the leaves in white in order to have the card mat negative and also extras to stack for the eclipse effect.  Then I added the green leaves and berries to the top and placed the stack back into the negative space - there you go, a shape eclipse.  A simple greeting and it's ready to share.

Cut it Up Challenge #155 ~ ABCs and 123s

Hi Crafty Friends,
With kiddos heading back to school, we're thinking ABCs and 123s at Cut it Up Challenges.
Your project doesn't have to be school related as long as you use letters and numbers in some way.
I've been wanting to make an Eclipse card for a very long time but I don't have large enough letter dies.  No problem, my Silhouette to the rescue and it really made the entire process easy.
I used papers from an old DCWV stack called Rustic.  Along with cutting the card base with the letters, I also cut 5 extra of each letter using a heavy white card stock.  I used a CTMH broad tip glue pen to layer the letters placing the patterned letter on the top.  Then, I just adhered each stack back into the negative part of the card mat.  The "est" and numbers were cut using Jaded Blossoms letter die sets.  The arrows were also cut from a die.
This will be my daughter's married name so it was fun to create.
