Guest Designer for Jaded Blossom

Hi Crafty Friends,

I was thrilled to be asked to be a Jaded Blossom guest designer today.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
Santa has always left blank Thank You notes in my daughters' stockings.  Since they were little, we felt it was important that the first thing they did after Christmas was to write notes to the people who remembered them with gifts.  This tradition has carried into their adult lives as well.
I designed two Thank You cards to share with you today.
I used Card Layer Dies 1, Border Dies, and Supersized Thank You for this card.
Along with Card Layer Dies 1, I used Card Mat Dies, Word Dies, and Cardinal Kisses.
I added twine and Doodlebug Designs Sprinkles to both cards.  The patterned papers are from Authentique.  I colored with Copics and added some Frosted Lace Stickles for the snow.
Thanks so much  Michelle and Candace for allowing me to share with you today.
I hope you all have a wonderful New Year!!!

The Merry Christmas Challenge #48

Hi Crafty Friends,

This is the final post of 2017 for the Holly and Ivy Team at The Merry Christmas Challenge.
We'll be back on January 3 with Challenge #1 of 2018!

I made this fun shaker card for my final Christmas card of 2017.  The detail dies are from La-La Land Crafts and the stitched and scallop circles are from Jaded blossom.

It's difficult to tell, but I used gold linen card stock for the die cuts.

Here's wishing you a very Merry Christmas!!!

I'll see you in the new year.  We can keep our Christmas going LOL.

Always Fun Challenges #36 ~ Santa

Hi Crafty Friends,

I'm having so much fun working on Christmas cards especially when I don't feel rushed.
I can just take the time to look through my dies and papers and watch them come together on my card bases.
Always Fun Challenge #36 is Santa.

I love this Santa/Sleigh die from La-La Land Crafts.

I used classic linen white pearl card stock for most of the the die cuts which are from La-La Land Crafts and Jaded Blossom.  The background and sentiment is from the Mercury Glass stack that I bought at Hobby Lobby - LOVE it!!!

I hope you'll follow the link about and share your Santa projects with us.

Cut It Up Challenge #136 ~ Inspired by a Christmas Song

Hi Crafty Friends,

For Cut it Up Challenge Blog's challenge #1136 we were inspired by a Christmas song.

I choose "Oh Christmas Tree" as my inspiration for this card.

I love the way this shaker card turned out using dies from La-La Land Crafts and Jaded Blossom.
The sequin mixture is from Craftin Desert Divas - Tara creates the most amazing mixes - and the flower centers are glitter sprinkles from Doodlebug Designs.
I used both my Cuttlebug and Gemini to cut all the dies

Our challenge sponsor is
Heartfelt Creations.

So, pick your favorite Christmas song and join in the fun.  Don't forget to use a die cut.

Always Fun Challenge #30 ~ Halloween

Hi Crafty Friends,

This is my final Halloween project.  Now to wait for the kiddos tomorrow night.

For this Always Fun Challenge, I made a small gable box.  It was going to be a treat holder but while at our LSS Crop, a crafty friend suggested that it would be cute as a tea light holder.  I tried it and I really like the results.

I did add clear plastic behind the cut out so it could still be a treat holder.
The box is a new Jaded Blossom  Gable box die and the ghost and spider are from Jaded Blossom's
Halloween Dies.

Always Fun Challenges ~ Create a Scene

Hi Crafty Friends,

Always Fun Challenge #23 is "Create a Scene."  I LOVE using dies and I love creating scenes so this was a perfect challenge for me.

Irina Blount of La-La Land Crafts does a trunk show at our local craft store about once every three months.  She introduced me to the idea of white on white using the classic linen-white pearl papers (and also the gold).  I am in love with effect so I'm thrilled to share my card using her technique and some of her amazing dies.

This card is 5.5 x 5.5.  I only used the two linens, white and gold.  I did cut an extra reindeer in chipboard to give a little dimension to the reindeer in front.  I cut all the dies at once using my Gemini.  Irina's dies cut beautifully in almost every machine (I've used the Cuttlebug with them as well - with the metal shim.)  This elegant card was really easy to create and I love the way it turned out.

I hope you'll join us for this challenge - you may create any type of scene using any medium.
Just follow the link above to join in the fun.

My Besties International September Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends,

Wowzers!  It's September 1st.  The kiddos are back in school and we'll soon be decorating for fall - I can't wait.

It's time for our new monthly challenge at

Our optional theme this month is FRIENDSHIP.
You may use a Bestie image or any image from any artist.

My card features the adorable Button Betty.  She's here to tell you that
You are Amazing.

I colored using Copic Markers and created the card using lots of dies from La-La Land Crafts and Jaded Blossom.  All the dies were cut using my Gemini.  The heat embossed sentiment is from the Encouragement set by Jaded Blossom.
I added Spectrum Noir clear Sparkle to her wings and Glossy Accents to the buttons.

I hope you'll join us this month.  There are some wonderful My Besties images to be won.

Back to School ~ Always Fun Challenge #21

Hi Crafty Friends,

Are you ready for our next Always Fun Challenge?
Challenge #21 is Back to School.

I made this cute "survival" kit as a gift for either a teacher or student.  Who doesn't love
Bath and Body Works hand sanitizer?

I used all Jaded Blossom goodies on this one.
Rick Rack Topper Die
School Dies
Star Dies
School Rocks stamp set.
All of the die cuts were cut on my Gemini - everything cut with one pass through the machine.  I love the 8.5 x 11 platform.

Always Fun Challenge ~ Tags

Hi Crafty Friends,

This week's Always Fun Challenge #20 is to make a tag (or something that includes a tag.)

I have just purchased some new dies from La-La Land Crafts and I wanted to put them to use right away so here is my challenge project.  I used Jaded Blossom's Luggage Tag Dies for the base.

I cut everything using my new Gemini.  Wow, it only took 2 passes through the machine for everything to be cut and every die came out perfectly - that's 12 different die cuts!  All I added was a tulle bow and my tag is ready to put on a Halloween treat or gift.

I hope you'll visit the challenge blog to see more DT projects and to enter our tag challenge.

Always Fun Challenge ~ Let it Sparkle!

Hi Crafty Friends,

Challenge #18 at Always Fun Challenges is
Let It Sparkle.  Well, there's nothing better than a little sparkle on your card, right?

Here's my card - a birthday card for my sister-in-law.

I hope you can see all the sparkle.  I used lots of La-La Land Crafts dies on this card.  The "Make a Wish" sentiment was cut from La-La Land's glitter adhesive vinyl and so was the heart banner.  I used classic white linen-pearl card stock to cut the flower and candle and pink pearl card stock for the birthday presents border.  I tied the tag with glittery tulle and added Stickles to the border cut and candle flame.  All of the die cuts were cut using my Gemini - wowzers, do I ever love this machine!! The patterned papers are from Bo Bunny's Petal Lane collection.

So, get your sparkle on and join us for challenge #18.  Just click the link above.
