You Are One of a Kind

 Hi Crafty Friends,

It's my design team day on the Jaded Blossom Blog.

I hope you loved everything in our new release.  I'm still thinking of ways to use the different products.

For today's project I used the Pumpkin Stencil.  Although I used Halloween colors, the message is slightly different and a little more personal.

I dry embossed the stencil using my Cuttlebug then inked it with Distress Ink and a blending brush.

I used a sentiment from the Peacock set along with Card Mat DiesPostage DiesFlag Dies, and Pumpkin Faces.

I hope you like my twist on the traditional Halloween message.

Choose Happy ~ Cut it Up Challenge #207

Hi Crafty Friends,

We're going OLD SCHOOL for this Cut it Up Challenge.

We want you to use something (tool, paper, embellishment, technique) that you've had for a long time!

Here's my project using a stamp from this challenge's sponsor,

For this challenge I dug out an old Martha Stewart Punch Around set, my Crop-a-dile Corner rounder, and a Crafter's Companion mini border embossing folder.
I love think dies so much that my punches are abandoned in drawers and on a craft rail - all gathering dust!  This is a top-fold card that measures 5.25 x 5.25.

I hope you'll join our OLD SCHOOL challenge.  Sometimes it's fun to dig around in your craft space and use something that's been gathering dust.  You may decide to add it to your active tools/materials or finally let it go LOL.

Hats off to the Graduate!

Hi Crafty Friends,

We have some very special young people in our lives who are graduating so I turned to my Jaded Blossom stamps and dies to make them cards.  I chose a simple design that I can change up by using their different school colors.

Here's the original design.

I'll be making several more using different colors and accents.

Here are the Jaded Blossom stamps and dies I used:

Thanks for dropping by today.

Jaded Blossom Celebrates Earth Day

Hi Crafty Friends,

Time for another Jaded Blossom special April post.
Today we are celebrating Earth Day.

One small way to keep our Earth beautiful is to plant flower seeds.  Seeing the beauty in the flowers helps everyone keep a positive perspective, especially during these trying times.

I made a card and gift bag to hold seed packets.  It's a sweet way to share beauty.

I used the following Jaded Blossom products:
Seeds of Friendship stamp set
Smell the Flowers stamp set
Card Mat dies
Spring dies
Heart dies 2
Goody Bag die

Be sure to visit the Jaded Blossom blog (link above) for more Earth Day projects.

Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge #438 ~ Just Because or RAK

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today's project for Die Cuttin' Divas is a coffee gift card holder that I'll use as a "just because" gift for a friend.

Isn't this coffee-themed paper fabulous?  It's from Echo Park.  The Coffee Slider die set is from Jaded Blossom.  I used the scalloped sleeve die from the companion set and used JB's gift card die on the insert.  The sentiments are also from Jaded Blossom.  I can't wait to share this sweet gift.

Please join us this week and share your RAK or Just Because ideas.

Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge 437 ~ Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,

We're celebrating BIRTHDAYS at Die Cuttin' Divas.

You can never have too many bday cards in your stash.
August was La-La Land Crafts 5th Birthday so the monthly Club Kit was a special edition created especially for birthdays.  I used two of the dies for this card.

There are just so many ways you can use these dies - this is just my first go at them.
The shaker window was created using Whimsy Stamps shaker maker rectangle die set.

I hope you'll play along with us this week.

Die Cuttin' Divas #423 ~ Masculine

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I used papers from Authentique's "Mister" paper pack to create this Masculine card for our
Die Cuttin' Divas challenge.

Sometimes it's fun to just play around with patterned papers and let the card "evolve."
This paper set included a sticker page so I used several for my sentiments.  The trophy die is from the Crafter's Companion Advent Calendar.  I also used Jaded Blossom stitched rectangles, and some flags and border from La-La Land Crafts.  I love the wonderful color combinations that Authentique includes in their themed paper sets.

I hope you'll join us in this challenge.  Follow the link above to show us your masculine projects.  Don't forget a die cut!

Die Cuttin' Divas #421 ~ Tic Tac Toe

Hi Crafty Friends,

Our Die Cuttin' Divas challenge for this week is to follow the Tic Tac Toe grid.

I LOVE Tic Tac Toe challenges.  It takes challenge themes a little farther by giving  me more guidance.  You'll find the Tic Tac Toe grid at the bottom of this post.

Here's my project following the center squares top to bottom.

I used Jaded Blossom Scallop Circle dies and La-La Land Crafts stitched border dies cut using my Cuttlebug (I love my Gemini but when I go to a crop I take my Cuttlebug - it's quieter).
I used Copic markers to color this fun Caffeinated Crab from The Rabbit Hole Designs.  All of their stamps just make me smile.  I cut the stamped out using a Scan N Cut2.

Come play Tic Tac Toe with us.  Just follow the link above and don't forget to use a die cut as well.

Die Cuttin' Divas #420 ~ Add a Turtle

Hi Crafty Friends,
In honor of Turtle Day on May 23 we're adding turtles to our projects at
Die Cuttin' Divas.
I found this cute little turtle cut file at Miss Kate Cuttables.

Her files are so easy to cut on my Silhouette and I love the easy directions she provides.
I added the palm trees using La-La Land Crafts' island die along with LLLC's stitched tag and stitched border.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Turtley Rad set.

I hope you'll play along with this week's challenge.  Just follow the link above.

Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge 412 ~ Favorite Color Combination

Hi Crafty Friends,
Our Die Cuttin' Divas' challenge for this week is to show your
FAVORITE COLOR combination.
Well, I have two favorite colors and I especially like to use them together.
Isn't this gnome just too cute.  He's from Stampingbella.  I purchased 3 gnome-themed stamps and I'm excited to start using them.  I wasn't a fan of gnomes until the Scandinavian style gnome got popular.  I think they're adorable.
The papers I used are from Doodlebug Designs.  I love their vibrant colors.  I cut the mat and flags with stitched dies from CC Designs and fussy cut the image before I colored using Copic markers.
I hope you'll share your favorite color with us.  Just follow the link above.
I'd like to enter this card in the Cute N Crafty Challenge - #23 Spring is in the Air.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Scrappy Dew.
I used their Garden Girl cut file for my card.

I used patterned papers from Authentique along with Doodlebug Designs card stock for all the paper pieces. Garden girl was cut using the Silhouette.  The grass is a La La Land die which I cut with my Cuttlebug.

I hope you'll join us for this challenge.

My Time to Craft ~ Challenge #392 Raining Cats and Dogs

Hi Crafty Friends,
What a fun theme for our My Time to Craft challenge.
There are so many fun dog and/or cat stamps and files to choose from.  I used Woof Pack by Newton's Nook to create this card.
I've had this stamp for awhile and wanted to make a birthday card for my son-in-law.
I colored the dogs using Copic Markers and die cut the flags then stamped a sentiment from Jaded Blossom So Many Birthdays set.  The papers are from Doodlebug Designs.
