Pearly Sparkles ~ First Challenge of the New Year!

Hi Crafty Friends,

Happy 2022!
I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and that this new year will be filled with peace, love, and lots of time for crafting!

Our January theme at Pearly Sparkles is "January Blues."  Let's see lots of BLUE on your project.

Here's my project, a birthday card for my nephew.

I used the Lookin Shark stamp set and Peekaboo Window 4 die, both from Whimsy Stamps.  The Copic coloring was inspired by Jennifer Dove. The snarky sentiment is from The Rabbit Hole Designs Sassy Birthday set.

I hope you'll start your crafty new year off by joining our challenge.  Just follow the link above.

Pearly Sparkles April challenge ~ Bears, Bunnies, Birds

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's time for our April challenge at Pearly Sparkles.

I chose to share some bunnies for our Bears, Bunnies, Birds challenge using a fun new stamp from The Rabbit Hole Designs.

I colored using Copic markers.  Since I've had limited access to my supplies (broken foot, no weight bearing, and can't maneuver in my craft room) I used some ribbon from a kit I had close at hand and colored the pearls with my markers.

I hope you'll join us for this challenge.  Just follow the link above.

My Time to Craft challenge 409 ~ NO Squares or Rectangles

Hi Crafty Friends,

We have a fun one for you this time at My Time to Craft.

For this challenge we're asking for shape card EXCEPT squares or rectangles!

Jaded Blossom to the rescue with their Octagon stitched dies.

I've been wanting to use this Caffeinated Boxer stamp from The Rabbit Hole Designs and I needed a masculine birthday card so here it is.  The inside of the shaker was stamped with Jaded Blossom's Birthday Splatter stamp then heat embossed.  I finally added some seed beads to my stash and I think they look fun inside the shaker.  I colored the image using Copic Markers.

So put your designing cap on and come up with a shaped card to share with us.
Just follow the link above.

Pearly Sparkles ~ October Post ~ Halloween, Spooky or Cute

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to October and my Pearly Sparkles monthly post.

Our theme is Halloween.  Your project can be spooky or cute, your choice (maybe a bit of both?)

I used one of The Rabbit Hole Designs stamps as the focal point of my card.

Isn't this a great stamp?  I love TRHD sentiments, they always bring a smile.  I decided to heat emboss the image and sentiment onto patterned paper.  I really like the effect.  I added a few die cuts from La-La Land Crafts and a button with twine.  This card just makes me smile.

I hope you'll join us this month.  Just follow the link above.

My Time to Craft ~ Birds!

Hi Crafty Friends,
Our My Time to Craft Challenge # 406 is BIRDS.  We hope you have a good time with this one?
I just love The Rabbit Hole Designs caffeinated critters and the flamingo is just so much fun.
Here she is, happy with her coffee!
I used Whimsy Stamps shaker dies for this card along with a banner die from La-La Land Crafts.
The caffeinated flamingo was colored using Copic markers and cut out using my Scan N Cut2 machine.

I hope you'll join us for our BIRD challenge.

August Challenge at Pearly Sparkles ~ Starts with a B

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's a new month which means a new challenge at Pearly Sparkles.

Our challenge for this month is STARTS WITH A B.  Wow!  so many ways to interpret this challenge.

I've needed several birthday cards lately so naturally BIRTHDAY was the perfect  answer for this challenge! (along with BLUE and BROWN) I just love the stamps created by The Rabbit Hole Designs.  The image and sentiment is from one of their newest sets, Doggone.  It's such a fun set.  I also love the card mat dies from Whimsy stamps and have been wanting to use this one.  I love CAS and this card fits the bill.

I hope you'll join us for this month's challenge.  Just follow the link above.

My Time to Craft # 400 ~ Beside the Seaside

Hi Crafty Friends,

Well now that summer is officially here in the United States we can begin thinking about all things summer-ish.  LOL.  For our next challenge at My Time to Craft we want to see things that remind us of the seaside: beach, fish, mermaids, whatever comes to mind.

I purchased a fabulous stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs called Sofishticated.  It has some gorgeous line art that just begs to be heat embossed.

Aren't these images gorgeous?  And there are so many more including some amazing fish.  The background is actually a card blank from a set that my BFF shared with me - ha, instant background!

I hope you'll join us in this challenge.  Just follow the MTTC link above.

My Time to Craft Chalenge #399 ~ Watercolor

Hi Crafty Friends,

For our My Time to Craft challenge we're using water colors; pencils, paints, pens, whatever to color an image or create a background.

I watched a Jennifer McGuire video on how to make a split design card and thought this style would be perfect for a background I had water colored and a new stamp I had just purchased.

Isn't this fun?!

I cut the clouds and sea using La-La Land Crafts Stitched Clouds and Hills border dies.  I also cut them in velum for an offset.  The image is Caffeinated Shark from The Rabbit Hole Designs as is the sentiment.  I colored the shark using Copic markers on Gina K Pure Luxury card stock.  The split design is attached to the background that I water colored using Spectrum Noir Aqua pens diluted with water and brushed on with a large bristle brush.
I think I'll be making other cards using this split design technique.

Please join our water color challenge by following the link above.

Cut It Up Challenge #176 ~ Welcome Summer

Hi Crafty Friends,

We are welcoming summer over at Cut it Up Challenge Blog.

My card box project was inspired by a project from the Make N Take/trunk show put on by Irina Blount from La-La land Crafts at our local Memories for the Making store.  We're so lucky to be close to Irina so we get to have her come at least once every two months!!!

This box is 4 inches square and comes with a piece of acetate for the window.   I made it into a card box so there is actually a folded card attached to the back - great to write a personal note and/or use as a stand.
Here's a list of the materials I used:
Jaded Blossom Stitched Squares and Tropical Dies
La-La Land Crafts kraft box, Pocket Tag dies, and Water Waves Stencil
The Rabbit Hole Designs Sofishticated stamp set
Distress Oxide Ink, Distress Ink, Momento Ink, and Copic Markers

This challenge is being sponsored by Newton's Nook.

Die Cuttin' Divas #421 ~ Tic Tac Toe

Hi Crafty Friends,

Our Die Cuttin' Divas challenge for this week is to follow the Tic Tac Toe grid.

I LOVE Tic Tac Toe challenges.  It takes challenge themes a little farther by giving  me more guidance.  You'll find the Tic Tac Toe grid at the bottom of this post.

Here's my project following the center squares top to bottom.

I used Jaded Blossom Scallop Circle dies and La-La Land Crafts stitched border dies cut using my Cuttlebug (I love my Gemini but when I go to a crop I take my Cuttlebug - it's quieter).
I used Copic markers to color this fun Caffeinated Crab from The Rabbit Hole Designs.  All of their stamps just make me smile.  I cut the stamped out using a Scan N Cut2.

Come play Tic Tac Toe with us.  Just follow the link above and don't forget to use a die cut as well.

Cut it Up Challenge #171 ~ Bunnies or Baskets

Hi Crafty Friends,
Only a few more weeks to get your Easter/Spring projects completed.
For my Cut it Up Challenge project I decided to make a treat holder using the Goodie Bag Die from Jaded Blossom and some images from The Rabbit Hole Designs Easter Bounty stamp set.

I LOVE the images that are being designed by The Rabbit Hole Designs - they are so easy to color and there's just so much you can do with them.  AND, they have a little bit of sass which is really fun.
I colored using Copic Markers and cut the images out using my Scan N Cut2.

Our challenge sponsor is CAS-ual Fridays.
Just follow the link above to enter this challenge.

I'd like to enter this project in the Sweet Stampin Challenge ~ funny or AG

Die Cuttin' Diva's Challenge #408 ~ RAK

Hi Crafty Friends,

Don't you love doing something for someone when they don't expect it?
Our challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas is to share your RAK (random act of kindness) project.

I love giving (and receiving) coffee cards so I decided to send one to a friend, just because.

A new online stamp company just opened and I couldn't wait to use my new stamps.
The first release for The Rabbit Hole Designs LLC was a "caffeinated" theme and today I'm sharing the Caffeinated Octopus - isn't she just too funny?!!!

I'm using Jaded Blossom's Pillow Box die for the gift card holder.  The sentiment is from JB's
Random Act of Kindness set.  I also added a coffee bean heart from La La Land Crafts.

I colored the image using Copic markers on Neenah Desert Storm paper - well, that was an adventure LOL!

I hope you'll share your RAK projects with us.  Just follow the link above.

Hello Lovely

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Today's card is for the K is for Kitties challenge at Snarky Stampers.

I just love The Rabbit Hole Design's Caffeinated Kitty and I thought she'd be perfect for this challenge.  I also thought the sentiment from La La Land Crafts Hello Lovely Background stamp set would put a snarky smile on your face!

I colored using Copic Markers and cut the image out with the Scan n Cut2.  The tag is from the La La Land Crafts tag set.  I stamped the mat using LLLC  Hello Lovely Background set and stenciled the large mat with LLLC So Many Dots stencil.

There's still time to follow the Cut it Up Challenge Sponsor Thank You Blog Hop.
One lucky commenter from my blog will win THIS stamp!!!

Pearly Sparkles February Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have another card that I made especially for a challenge.

Next month I'll be joining the Pearly Sparkles Challenge Blog design team, but for now I'm sharing a card that I'm entering in their February challenge, It's a Love Thing.

I used one of the images and a sentiment from The Rabbit Hole Designs' Love You More stamp set.  The sentiment is heat embossed and the image is colored with Copic markers.  I also added some Wink of Stella to the balloons.   The die cut border is from Whimsy stamps.

I'm really excited to link up to Pearly Sparkles Challenge #37 this month and then to share my first DT project with you on March 1st.
