Happy Bird-Day!

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I'm sharing a card that I designed for several challenges.
So often I'm creating for my design team releases or challenges, but today I designed a card just to have fun with it and enter a few challenges myself.

Here's my card.

I used Jaded Blossom slim line dies, mini tag dies 2, and tropical flowers dies.  I also used LaLa Land Crafts island die, tropical leaves, and Birds of a Feather stamp set.
I cut all the die pieces using a Gemini Jr.  The bird was colored using Copic markers.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Cardz TV ~ #145 Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday ~ #690 Anything Goes with "summer" option
Through the Craft Room Door ~ Anything Goes

Die Cuttin' Divas #411 ~ Pink and/or Cherry Blossoms

Hi Crafty Friends,

Can you feel it?  I think spring has finally arrived.
Our challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas is Pink and/or Cherry Blossoms.

I used both!

I used this sweet Kelsey image from Stamp Annie Thing.  I colored using Copic Markers and Wink of Stella.  The butterflies and sun are from Jaded Blossom.  The grass and cherry blossom border are La La Land Crafts.  Everything was cut using the Gemini Jr.

I'm also entering this card in:
Stamp Anniething's Stampers Facebook challenge 39 - sequins and adornments
Crafty Friends Challenge Blog #105 - Ladies/Girls

You are My Fairy-tale

Hi Crafty Friends,

In celebration of St. David's Day, the theme at Sweet Stampin  is
Dragons.
La La Land Crafts has some adorable dragons in their Dream Come True clear stamp set so I got a chance to color up this adorable little guy.  The dies are from LLLC as well.

I colored using Copic markers and then added gold accents using a Spectrum Noir gold metallic pen.

Thanks for taking a look.

Challenge Cards

Hi Crafty Friends,
I'm back sharing two more cards make specifically for card challenges.
It's fun designing cards to meet the requirements of challenges other than my own design teams.  I'm getting new ideas and meeting new crafty friends in the process.
This first card is for Jaded Blossom's March Challenge.
It's a color challenge along with using Jaded Blossom products.

I've used the Peacock stamp which is their spotlight stamp for this month.  I needed a sympathy card and this idea just sort of evolved.  I used Distress Oxides to create the background and then stamped and heat embossed the peacock using Gold Detail embossing powder.  I did add some Copic markers to the feathers.  The sentiment is from JB's Wishing You Comfort set.

My second card is for the Christmas Card Throwdown.  This week is a sketch challenge.

I used papers and die cuts from my stash although I know the die cuts are from La La Land Crafts.
The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Holiday Pampering set.
I think I share every week how excited I am to see my holiday card stash grow!

D is for Diet

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have a fun project today that I made for the
Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers (I'm in love with that name!)

Challenge #129 is D is for Diet, so here's my entry.

This perfect sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Wine O'Clock set and I found the image on Etsy.
I hope you get a chuckle out of this.

Sweet Dreams

Hi Crafty Friends,
I made this card for the Stamp Anniething's Stampers Facebook Group Challenge Week #38.
The theme is Pretty in Pink.  I used the Holly - Sweet Dreams stamp from SAT.
The patterned papers are from American Crafts.  I colored Holly using Copic Markers and cut her out on my Scan N Cut2.
Stamp Anniething's Stampers sponsors monthly challenges are the Facebook group.
You must use a SAT product and follow the theme.

I'm also entering this card in A Gem of  a Challenge - Week 4 Anything Goes

Fa La La Latte

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I'm sharing a card I designed for two crafty challenges:

Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes #270 and
Sketch Saturday.

I thought this sentiment from Jaded Blossom's Java Time set was perfect for this cute image, Java Fox digi from Craftin Desert Divas.  I colored the image using Copic markers.  Eeeek!  I had the dreaded "blop" while coloring but I think I saved it OK LOL.  I hate when that happens.

So excited to add another Christmas card to my stash.

Christmas Card Throwdown ~ Technique Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends,

I'm really enjoying taking part in the Christmas Card Throwdown challenges.
This week is a technique challenge.  The technique?  Recycle!!!

Here's the card I'm entering in the challenge.

The challenge description suggested recycling packaging, buttons, ribbon, cards, paper, etc. and to state what was used.  I actually recycled the front panel of a card we received last Christmas.
Here's the card we received.
It is not a handmade card which really surprised me.  Isn't it unique?
For my recycled card, I cut off the front layer and popped it up on a mat to which I'd added stenciled gold stars.  I popped that onto a piece of gold linen card stock and then onto the card base.

I can't wait to send it next year.  Maybe to the family that sent it to us?  Do you think they'd recognize what I did?

Love Your Pets

Hi Crafty Friends,

The challenge theme at Sweet Stampin Challenges is LOVE YOUR PETS.

We are definitely dog people!  We've had dogs almost our entire married life.
Many of our dogs are or have been hunting dogs but we've also had rescues that we've loved to pieces.  We're down to two dogs since our oldest crossed the rainbow bridge within the last year or two - it's always so hard to loose the dogs that have given you unconditional love.

With that in mind, here's my card for the challenge:

To create this card I've used:
Whimsy Stamps - Soul Mutts
Jaded Blossom - Stitched Ovals and Scalloped Ovals, Candy Wrap Dies
Jaded Blossom - Dog-Gone Awesome stamp set
Taylored Expressions - Paw print border die
Copic Markers

Winter Trees

Hi Crafty Friends,

This week's challenge theme at Christmas Card Throwdown is
Winter Trees.  I decided to use Sketch Saturday's sketch for challenge #551 for the layout.

Here's my card -

The patterned paper is Authentique's Alpine Two 2-sided paper.  I made a second card using the reverse pieces.  I used Jaded Blossom Border Dies 2 for the separation, the sentiment from Crafter's Companion Advent kit, and trees from Impression Obsession. I cut all the die cuts using my Gemini Jr..  Here's the challenge sketch for this week.  I just put it on its side.

SCOOP there it is

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have another card I made specifically for a challenge.  I'm entering today's card in Jo's Scrapshack
Fun-Day Friday Challenge.

It's an ANYTHING GOES challenge so I got out a new Whimsy Stamps stamp set and die that
I've been wanting to play with.  Here's my card.

How cute are these little guys?  And the stitched window die is so easy to use.
I cut the penguins out using my Scan N cut2 so it was easy peasy.  The little bit of coloring was done using Copic Markers.

Thanks for dropping by and taking a look.

Hello Lovely

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Today's card is for the K is for Kitties challenge at Snarky Stampers.

I just love The Rabbit Hole Design's Caffeinated Kitty and I thought she'd be perfect for this challenge.  I also thought the sentiment from La La Land Crafts Hello Lovely Background stamp set would put a snarky smile on your face!

I colored using Copic Markers and cut the image out with the Scan n Cut2.  The tag is from the La La Land Crafts tag set.  I stamped the mat using LLLC  Hello Lovely Background set and stenciled the large mat with LLLC So Many Dots stencil.

There's still time to follow the Cut it Up Challenge Sponsor Thank You Blog Hop.
One lucky commenter from my blog will win THIS stamp!!!

Christmas Card Throwdown ~ Color Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends,

Here's another challenge card for the Christmas Card Throwdown.
It's a color challenge this week using Green and Silver.

I love white on white so I figured why not silver on silver, with a touch of green of course.

Here's my entry:

The dies I used are all from La La Land Crafts.  I used 3 different silvers; shimmer, glitter, and mirror.  I also added silver Stickles to the bracket.

Thanks for looking and don't forget tomorrow is our
Cut It Up Challenge Blog SPONSOR THANK YOU blog hop.
Be sure to join our hop.  Leave a comment on my project for a chance to win one of the new

Christmas Card Throw Down Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends,

One of my New Year's goals is to enter more card challenges.  I also want to continue making Christmas cards throughout the year.  So, I found a new (to me) card challenge that will definitely work for me.  Every Saturday the Christmas Card Throw Down blog offers a new challenge.

The first challenge I am entering is a sketch challenge.
Here's my take on the sketch below.

I love when just the right papers guide the card design.  These papers are from Authenique.
I dry embossed the light colored strip with a branches embossing folder and just added some fabulous wood chippies from My Mind's Eye.

Pearly Sparkles February Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have another card that I made especially for a challenge.

Next month I'll be joining the Pearly Sparkles Challenge Blog design team, but for now I'm sharing a card that I'm entering in their February challenge, It's a Love Thing.

I used one of the images and a sentiment from The Rabbit Hole Designs' Love You More stamp set.  The sentiment is heat embossed and the image is colored with Copic markers.  I also added some Wink of Stella to the balloons.   The die cut border is from Whimsy stamps.

I'm really excited to link up to Pearly Sparkles Challenge #37 this month and then to share my first DT project with you on March 1st.

Challenge Card for STAMP anniething Challenge #37

Hi Crafty Friends,

I've been wanting to enter more card challenges this year so today I'm sharing a card I make especially for the STAMP anniething challenge on Facebook.

For this "use a die" challenge (along with a STAMP anniething stamp) I used Gracie, How you bean?
She's colored using Copic markers which was a bit of a challenge since I stamped her on basic card stock rather than Copic-friendly.  After stamping the image, I masked her off and used the Coffee Beans stencil to create the ombre background.  I also ran the stencil through my Gemini to achieve an embossed look on the Kraft mat paper.  The coffee cup is from the Jaded Blossom Coffee Dies set.

The Facebook challenge can be found HERE.

Enjoy Your Vacation

Hi Crafty Friends,

I made this card especially for the Cut It Up Challenge #68 - Use black, kraft, + one other color.
I just picked up the new release dies from Jaded Blossom and couldn't wait to use them.
I think the turquoise, kraft, and black make a great beach theme combination.  I've used Jaded Blossom's Tropical Dies, Dimensional Banner Dies, and Aloha stamp set.  Everything was cut with my trusty Cuttlebug.  I added a touch of twine, some Queen&Co jellies, and a little inking.

Thanks for taking a look!

Happy Valentine's Day

Hi Crafty Friends,
Just thought I'd drop in and share two V-day goodies I made using cut files from the Sweets for My Sweet blog hop sponsored by Jaded Blossom and SVG Cutting Files.  Unfortunately, the hop is past and the files are no longer available.

I loved the hop project featuring the Cupid Minion with a Twinkie treat.  Here's my version:
I put two Twinkies in a Jaded Blossom gusset bag and place the bag in the Decorative Edge box for gussets.

And who can resist Ms Green M&M?
I found some yummy dark chocolate mint green M&Ms to place in Jaded Blossom's new gable box - part of their new release.

I'm going to enter these projects in SVG Cutting Files monthly challenge.
