Hello Lovely

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Today's card is for the K is for Kitties challenge at Snarky Stampers.

I just love The Rabbit Hole Design's Caffeinated Kitty and I thought she'd be perfect for this challenge.  I also thought the sentiment from La La Land Crafts Hello Lovely Background stamp set would put a snarky smile on your face!

I colored using Copic Markers and cut the image out with the Scan n Cut2.  The tag is from the La La Land Crafts tag set.  I stamped the mat using LLLC  Hello Lovely Background set and stenciled the large mat with LLLC So Many Dots stencil.

There's still time to follow the Cut it Up Challenge Sponsor Thank You Blog Hop.
One lucky commenter from my blog will win THIS stamp!!!

Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge #402 ~ Glitter or Foil

Hi Crafty Friends,
Our second Die Cuttin' Diva's challenge of the New Year is to use glitter or foil
(and, of course, a die cut.)
I sometimes order the Paper Door monthly project box from Whimsy Stamps.
This card uses materials from a set I ordered several months ago.

I used the following materials from the Paper Door kit:
Panda Butt stamp set
Panda Butt coordinating dies
Darice Vines embossing folder
Glitter tape
Fine black glitter cardstock
Silky sheen green cardstock

I also used:
Copic markers (C00, C1, C5, C10)
Jaded Blossom stitched card mat dies
Jaded Blossom stitched rectangle dies
Momento Ink - tuxedo black and bamboo leaves
Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen - clear
Gemini Jr.

I hope you'll join us for this challenge.  Follow the link above.
Don't forget a die cut and a link back to Die Cuttin' Diva's Blog.

Happy Birthday to my Darling Daughter

Today is my oldest (I'm sure she's hating THAT term) daughter's birthday.  Since she's in Texas and I'm in California, her gifts have to be sent.  I do try to add a little creativity so here's what I sent.
I made the accordion book using the Mini Book cartridge (which was featured on My Paper Crafting's Cartridge Showcase Monday).

I cut everything at 3 inches for the envelope and accordion pages.  Then I cut 3 extra sets of pages in gray, patterned paper, and white at 2.75 inches.  That gave me 3 sets of mats to choose from and all I had to do was cut apart the ones I wanted and adhere them to the base pages - sure made matting easy and perfectly sized!  All the papers and embellishments are Cloud 9 (on sale at J's, woohoo!).  The stamps are CTMH- part of the Cricut companion collection.
I really like the way this album folds up and "latches" itself and then slips nicely into the envelope which is large enough to hold the mini that has mats and embellies on each section.

Along with the gift cards, I included aroma therapy bath products, an electric wine opener, and a box of hand selected See's Candies (they can't buy See's in Lubbock!).

Happy Birthday, Aly.
You are so loved and make us proud to be your parents everyday.
