Jaded Blossom August Release ~ Day 4

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's our final Jaded Blossom sneak peek for the August Release.
Be sure to come back tomorrow for our Design Team Blog Hop.
The entire release will be available in the Jaded Blossom store at midnight tonight!

Here's my project using the final stamp set in our release.

For this fun little notepad cover, I used my Gemini Jr. to emboss the 80s Stencil using Color Core card stock and then sanded it to reveal the stencil.  I cut the glasses using glitter card stock and then layered them onto chip board cut outs to add dimension. Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens were used to make the sentiment pop and add sparkle to the background. Finally, I colored the images using Copic markers.
Jaded Blossom products used:
80s Icons (NEW)
Glasses Dies (NEW)
Love the 80s (NEW)
80s Stencil (NEW)
Kawaii 80s (NEW)

Here's today's final reveal.

And, in case you missed them, here are all of my reveal projects.

Hope to see you tomorrow ♥

My Time to Craft challenge #405 ~ Anything but a Card

Hi Crafty Friends,

Time for Friday's second post - My Time to Craft Challenge 405.

Although it's still really hot in my part of the country it's time to start thinking about fall and Halloween.  I used Jaded Blossom's Paper Bag Die for this cute little Halloween gift bag.

I'm such a fan of Authentique papers. I loved the way these went together.  I think the graphic is perfect for the sentiment from a set I found in my stash by Bug Bites (not sure if it's available any longer.)  Just some Crafter's Spool twine and a few gems and I call it ready to gift!

I hope you'll share your Anything BUT a Card projects with us.

Must.Have.Coffee.

Hi Crafty Friends

It's my design team day at Digi My World.
Today I'm sharing another image from the Kawaii Coffee set.  This is such a fun set with so many options.

Isn't this a fun little treat box filled with Werther's Coffee Caramels?
It would be fun to slip in a coffee gift card too.

Kawaii Coffee
Along with the Kawaii Coffee set I also used:
Border Dies, Dimensional Banner Dies, Java Time stamp set and a Gable Box.
Also, Copic Markers and Glossy Accents.

Quick and Easy Gift Bag

Good Morning,
I hope you all had a great start to November.  Hubs and I have both been battling colds so lots of down time around our house!
Well, I hate (yet love) to admit it, but the holidays are upon us and I really need to start DOING rather than just THINKING and PLANNING!
Here's a quick gift bag I designed for my Copic class gals.  One of our ladies graciously gave me a number of her wooden stamps and this is one of them.  I love the primitive feel and thought it would be a simple coloring project for some of my new gals.  We have quite a span from monthly newbies to gals who've been with me for almost 3 years!  I try to design projects where everyone feels successful!

Join me tomorrow for my Paper Crafting World design team post and then again on Wednesday for a sneak peek at another fun and fabulous release from Digi My World.  And don't forget Thursday!  It's time for our monthly new release at Delightful Challenges (Digital Delights by Louby Loo).

Happy Monday!

Happy Birthday to my Darling Daughter

Today is my oldest (I'm sure she's hating THAT term) daughter's birthday.  Since she's in Texas and I'm in California, her gifts have to be sent.  I do try to add a little creativity so here's what I sent.
I made the accordion book using the Mini Book cartridge (which was featured on My Paper Crafting's Cartridge Showcase Monday).

I cut everything at 3 inches for the envelope and accordion pages.  Then I cut 3 extra sets of pages in gray, patterned paper, and white at 2.75 inches.  That gave me 3 sets of mats to choose from and all I had to do was cut apart the ones I wanted and adhere them to the base pages - sure made matting easy and perfectly sized!  All the papers and embellishments are Cloud 9 (on sale at J's, woohoo!).  The stamps are CTMH- part of the Cricut companion collection.
I really like the way this album folds up and "latches" itself and then slips nicely into the envelope which is large enough to hold the mini that has mats and embellies on each section.

Along with the gift cards, I included aroma therapy bath products, an electric wine opener, and a box of hand selected See's Candies (they can't buy See's in Lubbock!).

Happy Birthday, Aly.
You are so loved and make us proud to be your parents everyday.

Give Thanks

Hey, wasn't this the prevailing theme for last month's projects?  Well, if you've been following My Paper Crafting's 25 Days of Crafting you know that we've been sharing projects and calendar pages for the entire year.  Our theme for Day 18 is "Give Thanks."

I used my Cricut Thanksgiving cartridge to create these place cards and and napkin wraps for a Thanksgiving table.

The placecard on the left shows the backside.

I hope you'll visit My Paper Crafting to see even more November projects, leave a little bloggie "thanks" and follow the links to today's free cutting file, digital stamps, and vintage graphic.

Back to School? and a tutorial, too.

It's Day 14 of our 25 Days of Crafting.  Wow! two weeks of fabulous crafting ideas already!

Remember that the My Paper Crafting designers are sharing projects for the holidays and events and celebrations throughout the year.  Today we're featuring September projects.  I used today's FREE digital stamp to make a hand sanitizer holder which could be used as a Back-to-School gift and I also created a card using the FREE vintage graphic. You'll also find a quick tutorial on how to make the hand sanitizer holder at the end of the post.

If you visit My Paper Crafting you'll see even more September projects as well as the links to the FREE downloads which include the digi and graphic I used here along with a FREE Cutting file.

I read the directions for making the Hand Sanitizer holder at Paper Desserts.
I did adjust the measurements to better fit the Bath and Body Works product I used.

Here are the two sizes of paper and where you need to score.  The 6x2 is scored on the long side in 4 places and then turned and scored at 1/4 inch in from each side (difficult to see)

The x's indicate the sections to be cut off.  The center was punched with a 1inch punch and then I moved it 1/4 inch to the right and punched again.  This opening will depend on the size bottle you use.  I used Bath and Body Works Sanitizer mini. You might need to use an oval punch.

Fold and crease all the scored lines.

Ahere the two sections.
I used one-sided patterend paper (DCWV School Stack) for my holder (see above).  I also adhered Baker's Twine to the back and brought it around and tied it to keep the box closed.  You could use velcro instead.

I'm going to make a few more for stocking stuffers using Christmas paper.

Dad's Day Gift Card Holder

We're celebrating Dad's at Cooking with Cricut.  When you visit the CWC blog to see the other design team projects you'll notice we're not sharing cards because this week's challenge is anything BUT a card.
For my project I created a gift-card box that's large enough to also hold cash or even wallet sized photos.  The papers are from my scrap stash.  The vest was cut from the Billionaire cartridge.  Baker's Twine is wrapped around the flap with the tiny tag sentiments adhered with a Glue Dot.

I hope you'll join in this week's challenge.  Just link your Dad's Day anything but a card project to the Cooking with Cricut's Wednesday challenge.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn
