Cut it Up Challenge # 164 ~ New Year's Resolutions

Hi Crafty Friends, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year! For last year's "Resolutions" challenge at Cut it Up Challenges I pledged to use my crafty planner to keep myself organized.  I want you to know that I have kept that resolution so I'm ready to share my new one for 2019.  I have been a designer on a Christmas card challenge team.  When it came time to mail out my cards there was no last minute scramble to have a card for everyone on our list.  I was so happy.  So, even though that particular challenge blog has closed down, my resolution is to continue to make Christmas cards throughout the year.   Here's my first Christmas card for next year's stash using one of the Xmas Mice digi images from our sponsor, Kitten Scraps.

The image was colored with Copic markers.  I used Jaded Blossom's stitched rectangles for the mats and La La Land Crafts Christmas trees to embellish. Today is my design team day at Paper Crafting World and I've decided to share a few projects that I created over a year ago.  I've been down with the "ugly bug" that seems to be going around so my craft room has been abandoned until I feel better.

Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenge Debut

Hi Crafty Friends, It's finally here - the first challenge post for Open-Minded Crafting Fun.  Every-other week the design team will be sharing projects using images from 4-5 different sponsors. Our very first Challenge Theme is  Use a New Toy or New Technique
My project uses an image by Milk Coffee Digital Stamps called Soya Takes a Nap.

 The new toy I used for this project is my eBosser!  I love using metal dies and the eBosser makes it so easy to use multiple dies in one cut AND there's no cranking!  Woohoo!

The dies I used are Spellbinders Lacy Squares and Le Papillions Two.  I also used a Die-Namics flourish.

 For my technique I'm using the Marbleized Background (Copic markers) as taught by Marie Gamber for Color Me Creative.  I hope you can see the wonderful sparkle on various parts of my card.  I used my new favorite product Wink of Stella brush glitter on the fairy's wings, the butterfly, the flower tips and the edge of the mat.  I love, love, love this product!

Pumpkin Carving

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I'm sharing one more Halloween card. It's my design team day on the Paper Crafting World Blog.  Today I'm using the Bear Carving Pumpkin digital stamp from Paper Crafting World.

This is such a cute image and fun to color.  

I colored my bear using Copic Markers.  The paper is "Orange Dot" from Little Yellow Bicycle.  The flower, button, brads and ribbon are all from my stash.  I added Smooch to the flower veins and tips and used Crafter's Spools for the bow.

Something new at Digi My World

Hey Crafty Friends,

I wanted to show you two of the new images that will be released at Digi My World on Friday.  Can you believe that DMW is releasing THREE new sets this week?  And, let me tell you, they are just soooooo much fun!   Here's a sneak peek at what's coming.

 When Ann told us she was creating a Sock Monkey set, I was over the moon.  My youngest daughter LOVES monkeys and my oldest loves mustaches - can it get any better than this!!  Better yet, there are 4 adorable sock monkeys in the set. This is Charlie.

Next is this adorable snowman from the new Traditional Snowman set.  I've collected snow people for years so this set will become a favorite.

My First Cameo Project!

Good Morning Everyone,

 I'm so excited to share this card because it's the first project that I've made using my Silhouette Cameo - woohoo!  I imported the jpeg digital stamp and did a print and cut.  Fussy cutting is not my favorite thing to do so having the Cameo do it for me is fabulous.  I also designed the sentiment with the colored shadow.  It is a print and cut as well.  Next on the desk - cut files!!!

 Today is my design team day on the Paper Crafting World Design Team Blog.  The PCW image I used is the Pumpkin N Flowers digital printable.

I decided to use Prima flowers with Stickles centers to add a little more dimension to the image.  The lattice is a Spellbinders die.

I'm so glad you stopped by today.  I'll be back tomorrow with another fall project.

An Artist in Need!

Hello Crafty Friends, Today's post is a very special one in which I'm asking for your help.  If you read my Facebook posts you may already know that the crafting/art community is coming together to help support Guy Gondron who is battling a condition that has resulted from his first fight with cancer.  Upon this second diagnosis, Guy lost his job and his insurance!!!  While he is jumping through hoops trying to get help, he is selling much of his artwork.  I met Guy through the Copic Marker Scrapbooking design team.  He created many of the digital sets that we used.  His art is quite unique from a cardmaker's standpoint; actually, quite amazing.  Coloring Guy's images made me stretch as a Copic designer and I always appreciated the challenge. Anyway, awhile back Guy created a set of images for a special little girl.  The images are of her "Lovey", Stinky.  Her very special friend.   He is now selling these images through his Etsy store HERE.  If you are willing to visit this link and purchase the set, it will be so very appreciated!!!
