Congratulations, Graduate

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's my design team day on the Digi My World design team blog.  I'd like to share a
cute graduation image from Digi My World.  This cutie is from the The Class of ___ set.

Here's what the set looks like.

If you're not into coloring digital images, you can also get this set as clip art.  Just print and cut (by hand or machine) and you're on your way.

The papers and ribbon are from my stash.  I colored the image with Copics and added the marbleized background to bring out the focal image a little more.

Thanks for stopping by.

Let's Party!

It's design team day at Delightful Challenges.  Our theme this week is ADD A FLOURISH.
I'm using Top Hat n Tails Slippy and the Let's Party sentiment from
Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

My flourish is a stamp (don't know what company).  I matted Slippy using Spellbinders Labels 18 and colored him with Copics.  I also used Copics for the marbleized background adding some white gel pen flourishes.  A strip of Washi tape finished the card.

Add a flourish to your project and enter to win 3 sets from
www.thecuttingcafe.typepad.com

Just post your project HERE.

I'm entering the following challenges:
Sweet Stamps:  #157 Anything goes
Artistic Inspirations: #79 Anything Goes/Masculine
MarkerPOP: #37 Anything Goes

Show Some Love!

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's time for Open-Minded Crafting Fun's Challenge #3 - Show Some Love.
If you haven't joined in these challenges, you're really missing out.  We have a minimum of 4 sponsors for every challenge so you'll have at least 4 chances to win.

My image comes from Paper Pretties.  It's called ConBearsation Hearts.  I still love those little boxes of hearts with all the cute sayings - awww childhood memories.

All the materials used for this card are from my crafty stash.  The bear is colored with Copic Markers as is the marbleized background.  The border punch is Martha Stewart double hearts punch around the page.

You have two weeks to link up your card to be entered in our drawings for images from these sponsors.

Open-Minded Crafting Fun Challenge Debut

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's finally here - the first challenge post for Open-Minded Crafting Fun.  Every-other week the design team will be sharing projects using images from 4-5 different sponsors.
Our very first Challenge Theme is
Use a New Toy or New Technique

My project uses an image by Milk Coffee Digital Stamps called Soya Takes a Nap.
The new toy I used for this project is my eBosser!  I love using metal dies and the eBosser makes it so easy to use multiple dies in one cut AND there's no cranking!  Woohoo!
The dies I used are Spellbinders Lacy Squares and Le Papillions Two.  I also used a Die-Namics flourish.

For my technique I'm using the Marbleized Background (Copic markers) as taught by Marie Gamber for Color Me Creative.  I hope you can see the wonderful sparkle on various parts of my card.  I used my new favorite product Wink of Stella brush glitter on the fairy's wings, the butterfly, the flower tips and the edge of the mat.  I love, love, love this product!

I would like to invite you to join in this new challenge.  Just visit Open-Minded Crafting Fun, view all the fabulous projects presented by our wonderful design team members and then link up your own project.  Each sponsor is offering a prize so you'll have multiple chances to win.

Choo-Choo

Good Morning Crafty Friends,
I hope you had a great weekend!  I finished my second project for my Copic Class gals.  I'm using another image from Digi My World's Christmas Morning set but designed it as just a boy's card, not Christmas.
I intentionally left the banner blank and will fill in with a sentiment later.
I recently signed up for Marie Gamber's Backgrounds class at Color Me Creative.  I met Marie at a crop and just oooohed and ahhhed at her amazing Copic creations.  She takes coloring to a new and exciting level and I was thrilled when she shared that she taught online classes.  Anyway, I've just started the series and decided to add a little bit of her technique on this card.  It's called a "Marbleized" background.  I have a lot more to learn and will definitely need to practice, but it's sure fun.
Supplies used for this project:
Markers:  Copics
Cardstock:  Echo Park Bundle of Joy
Micron fine black pen, Signo white gel pen
rick rack

I'm entering this card in
Send a Smile 4 Kids - Anything Goes for kids
I hope this week is off to a great start.
