Choose Happy ~ Cut it Up Challenge #207

Hi Crafty Friends,

We're going OLD SCHOOL for this Cut it Up Challenge.

We want you to use something (tool, paper, embellishment, technique) that you've had for a long time!

Here's my project using a stamp from this challenge's sponsor,

For this challenge I dug out an old Martha Stewart Punch Around set, my Crop-a-dile Corner rounder, and a Crafter's Companion mini border embossing folder.
I love think dies so much that my punches are abandoned in drawers and on a craft rail - all gathering dust!  This is a top-fold card that measures 5.25 x 5.25.

I hope you'll join our OLD SCHOOL challenge.  Sometimes it's fun to dig around in your craft space and use something that's been gathering dust.  You may decide to add it to your active tools/materials or finally let it go LOL.

Die Cuttin' Divas challenge 448 ~ 3-2-1

Hi Crafty Friends,

We have a fun, different challenge for you today.  It's 3-2-1 and you get to choose 3, 2, 1, of different items for your project; papers, patterns, colors, embellishments - your choice.

Here's my card.  It's a wedding card with the bride's colors and theme in mind.

To meet the challenge theme I chose 3 Copic colored flowers, 2 die cut feathers, and 1 stamped background.
The design of the card was inspired by a card created by Nicolette Marie, a La-La Land Crafts designer.  I used several LLLC products (flowers, background stamp, and leaves.  But, I also used an old Martha Stewart punch around border, the feather die from Crafter's Companion Advent set (yes, I opened it!), and Jaded Blossom stitched and scalloped ovals and sentiment from the Fancy Wedding set.

This was a fun challenge.  I hope you'll play along.  Just link your project to our DT blog,
Die Cuttin' Divas.

Always Fun Challenge #4 FLOWERS

Hi Crafty Friends,
Have you joined our Always Fun Challenge yet?  I'm loving being able to share a variety of projects with this team.  I'm using more of crafty goodies and trying new things (or revisiting old favorites - ha!)  Our theme for Challenge #4 is FLOWERS.
Jaded Blossom has two new fabulous sets of Flowers dies so I hauled out my scrap stash and started cutting away with my handy Cuttlebug.  Here's my card:
Even though it's spring, I'm drawn to this color palette when digging through my scraps - go figure.
The fence is a die from Jaded Blossom's Scenic Backgrounds set.  The branch is a Martha Steward punch (yes, I still use them).
Follow the link above and come join us!

Happy Bird Day to You!

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's my design team day for Paper Crafting World.

I spent several years designing for Melin's Digi team so it's always fun to pick one of her cute digi files "for old time's sake!"

I chose the Toucan Happy Bird Day DS file for today's project.  It's such a happy image and so much fun to color.

I used Copic markers for the image and gel pens for the sentiment (comes with the file.)
I used a Martha Stewart cupcake border punch and the balloon bottom border die from Jaded Blossom's Border Dies 2.  I also used JB's Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut our the image.  Some baker's twine and several sequins finished the card.

Thanks so much for stopping in today.

A Valentine Cupcake

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's design team day at Digital Delights.  Today I'm using the February Cupcake set.  Did you know that Wendy has created a cupcake set for every month of the year?  These would be fabulous for a calendar or for as a special way to celebrate a birthday.  I'm using the image as a Valentine card.

The patterned paper is from my Valentine stash so I'm not sure of the company.  I also used my scalloped heart punch and a Martha Stewart punch around the page heart punch.  The image is colored with Copic markers and I used Signo white gel pen to accent two of the hearts.

Please visit our design team blog for more great ideas on how to use Wendy's images.

Hostess Monday at Digital Delights

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's my turn for Hostess Monday at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  I want to show you a cute project I found in the summer issue of CardMaker Magazine.  It's called a floral clutch card and I thought that the Digital Delights by Louby Loo Flower Background image would be perfect.

This is the image placed under the outside flap.  I used Copic markers to color the digi.

You can see the clutch shape using "mountain-valley folds.
The card base is 5.5 x 9, scored at 3, 3.5, 4 and 7

 Closed (using repositionable double-sided tape.

The inside - wouldn't this be perfect to slip in a gift card?

I hope you like my project.   Thanks for stopping by.

Welcome Spring

Hi Crafty Friends,

The Delightful Challenges team is officially welcoming spring by making that our challenge this week.
My image is Strawberry Barnaby from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

This strawberry paper is from my stash, I knew I'd find the perfect image to go with it.  I inked the punched flowers to mimic those in the patterned paper.  The bee is a stamp I bought quite awhile back.  It came with the bee body.  It's called Skittle Bee from Pez-a-Doodles.  I used a 3-D gel pen after stamping the image.  Barnaby is colored with Copics with Wink of Stella glitter added to the wings.

Our challenge this week is sponsored by
A $15 store certificate is the prize.
Link your Welcome Spring project to our challenge blog, HERE, for a chance to win.
