Clear It Out Challenge #109

Hi Crafty Friends,
Challenge #109 at Clear it Out Challenges Blog is all about NATURE - flowers, birds, trees, etc.
Our stash item is GREENERY so you can add anything green.
This adorable little Garden Angel is from Robyn's Fetish, our challenge sponsor.
I colored the image using Copic markers with some Wink of Stella on the wings.  The patterned papers are DCWV Chateau Lavender - so pretty.  I also used Jaded Blossom's stitched squares dies for the image and mat.

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's time for another Clear it Out Challenge.  Our theme is Easter and our stash item is BUTTONS!  Now what crafter doesn't have buttons laying around?

I used the Bunny and Scarf image by Robyn's Fetish.

The patterned paper is also from my stash - I think is DCWV Nana's Kids.  The image is colored using Copic Markers.  I hand cut the flag to hold the buttons and twine bow.

Join us over at Clear it Out Challenge Blog.  You might be the winner of a gift voucher from Robyn's Fetish or Di's Digis.

Clear it Out Challenge #106

Hi Crafty Friends,

Are you ready for an Anything Goes challenge?  For your "clear it out" stash item you have to use some patterned paper you've had on hand for awhile.  Since I'm a true paper hoarder, I have tons of patterned paper, unused and scraps.  This was a great challenge for me.

My patterned paper is from a Pink Paislee kit I purchased years ago.
The digital image, Butterfly Flower, is from our challenge sponsor, Sami Stamps. I colored with Copic markers.  I added sequins and a twine bow along with mats using  more paper from my stash.

My gingham paper is from the Bazzill Basics Red Devil pack.  I've used several Jaded Blossom products as well:
Stitched Circle Dies
Flag Dies
Bow Dies

I colored the image with Copic Markers.

I hope you'll join in our challenge - always a good way to use what you have.

Looking Back at Clear it Out Challenges

Hi Crafty Friends,
Happy Christmas Week.  Are you as busy as I am?  It's gotten down to priorities now.  I may have "wanted" to do something but now I'm getting only the necessities done!  Eeek, I'm such a procrastinator - that and I tend to say yes when a friend or family member needs something at the last minute - oh well.

Clear it Out Challenges is posting this week but we are revisiting favorite projects from throughout 2015.  I've chosen my July 7 projects.  All of the images are from the "Make a Joyful Noise" set by
Deedees Digis.  This card just makes me happy.  I love the sentiment and the image.

Be sure to visit Clear it Out and see the rest of the DT's favorites.  Some members have even created new projects.

Well, my friends, this is my final post before Christmas.
Have a wonderful, joyful Christmas.  May you and your family be blessed with love and happiness.

Merry Christmas!

Clear It Out Challenge #100

Hi Crafty Friends,
I'm so sorry it's been awhile since my last post.  I actually had a week break from design team projects but I'll be sharing 3 this week.

Today's card is for Clear it Out Challenge #100!  The theme and stash item is ANYTHING GOES.
I've used this adorable Santa Daniel image from Deedee's Designs - one of our challenge sponsors.

I used my Lawn Fawn stitched rectangles to cut out the image and sentiment.  The snowflake was found in my stash (I think it's a punch) along with the patterned paper.  I colored the image with Copics and added Frosted Lace Stickles to all the "fur" and ruffles.

Come join our last challenge of 2015 by adding your card HERE.

It's Clear it Out Challenge #99.  The theme for this challenge is CHRISTMAS with the stash item, GLITTER.  Our challenge sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps.  I've used the Elephant and Christmas Tree image which was a freebie.

I used Wink of Stella brush glitter on the ornaments and star.  I also used Stickles Frosted Lace on the stockings and Santa hat.  The green mat was cut out of DCWV glitter card stock.  I also used Jaded Blossom's Stitched Square dies and a sentiment from JB's Watt's Up stamp set. Meowy Christmas

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's time for Clear It Out Challenge #98.  The challenge is to use white as your dominant color and anything goes for your stash item.
I've used a cute image from our sponsor, Sami Stamps, called Ornament Kitty.
To create my image frame, I used Jaded Blossom's Stitched Circles dies and Lawn Fawn's Stitched rectangles.  I traced inside the circle with a silver pen and added sequins.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Meow and Forever stamp set.  I colored with Copic markers and added silver Wink of Stella covered that with clear embossing powder which I heat set.

Clear it Out challenge #97

Hi Crafty Friends,

Our challenge this time is Halloween or Christmas and the stash item is a DIE CUT.
I'm using an image from our sponsor, SLS Lines, which is a Sugar Skull.

The Sugar Skull is not actually a Halloween image but rather one used during the celebration of
Dia de Los Muertos which joyfully honors the dead.  To that end, I wanted to keep my design truer to that tradition rather than the Halloween colors and embellishments.

I used Spectrum Aquas to color the image and then covered it entirely with clear Wink of Stella.
The mat is the large Spellbinders Fleur de Lis die.  I used a gold Pilot Paint Marker to draw the borders on the card base and image mat and then added a prima flower.

Clear it Out Challenge #96

Hi Crafty Friends,

Our next challenge at Clear It Out Challenge is a color challenge:  "white + one other color."  The stash item is "anything goes."
I'm using an image from our challenge sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps.

This card is truly CAS.  The middle white layer is embossed using the Cuttlebug Zebra Stripe folder.  The image is colored with 3 Copic markers and I embellished with Doodlebug Designs sprinkles.  The sentiment is from the Monkey See Monkey Do stamp set by Jaded Blossom.

Clear It Out #95

Hi Crafty Friends,

Our theme for Clear it Out Challenge #95 is Things with Wings and the stash item is GLITTER.
Glitter isn't my favorite thing but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Stickles so that's what you'll find on this card.  Our sponsor is Deedee's Digis so I've colored one of her Spring Blocks images.

I found the patterned papers in my stash and lucky for me, one was glittered. The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Bugaboo stamp set.  I heat embossed it so it would stand out on the patterned paper.  After I colored the image using Copic markers, I added Stickles to the bee's wings, the flower petals and the box border.

The prize is a $10 gift certificate from

Clear it Out Challenge #94

Hi Crafty Friends,

Our theme for this challenge is Autumn and the stash item is leaves or foliage.  I've used the
Cuddly Critter Squirrel image by Dr. Digi ~ our sponsor.

I've used Copics to color the image.  The background stamp is by Hero Arts stamped with Distress Ink.  The leaves are from Jaded Blossom's Fall Die set.  I punched a JB stitched circle to frame the image and popped up the mat for a little dimension.

Clear It Out Challenge #93

Hi Crafty Friends,
Wow!  How can it be September already?  Woohoo I made a Christmas card! For me this is pretty early but I loved this Christmas Boo image from Lacy Sunshine (this week's sponsor) at Clear It Out.
The theme and stash item for this challenge is Anything Goes.
I used a page protector and the WRMK Fuse tool to create the shaker pocket.  Jaded Blossom Scalloped Square dies were used for the window and frame.  I also used JB's Christmas Signs for the sentiment, Fall Dies for the sentiment base and Winter Dies for the snowflake.  The paper and twine is Doodlebug Designs and the gems are from my stash.  I colored using Copic Markers and added some Frosted Lace and Star Dust Stickles to create the fur on the cap.
Come and join our challenge at Clear It Out.  Beginning with this week's challenge, our challenges are moving to Bi-Weekly so I'll share my next CIO project on September 15.

Clear it Out Challenge #92 - Fancy Folds

Hi Crafty Friends,

Our Clear it Out challenge for this week is to use a fancy fold and dies or punches as the stash item.  Well, my fold isn't that fancy (just a simple "s" fold) but I like the way it worked for this image.  The image is Star Fairy from Digital Paper Craft.

The patterned paper is Under the Stars from Bella Blvd.  The mats and sentiment were cut from DCWV's Glitzy Glitter Stack.  I used an old Cuttlebug Die plate for the sentiment and the small glitter stars were cut using a Martha Stewart border punch - I just used the cut outs.  I don't know the company that made the scalloped oval - the set was in my die binder without the packaging. Finally, I colored the fairy with Copics and added Stardust Stickles to her wings.
