Daisies for Your Birthday

Hello Crafty Friends,

What a thrill to be back with the Paper Crafting World design team.  You can't believe how excited I was when Melinda put out the call.  I have always loved using PCW products and am so happy to be focusing on the cut files this go round.  This has always been one of my favorite teams to design for so I'm really excited to share my projects with you this term.

I'm starting with a birthday card.  I love the colors of fall and I especially love daisies (my wedding flowers.)  I used the Daisies cut file for this project.  I also used the Card Bracket Top for my card base.

I cut two sets of daisies so that I could layer them.

All of the edges were chalked with Powder Puff ink using the Pazzles inking tool.  The crinkle ribbon is my own which I colored  with Ranger stains on Hug Snug seam binding.

Here's the Card Bracket Top which can be turned either way depending on how you wish to design your card.

Flashback Tuesday

Hi Crafty Friends,
Today is my design team day at Paper Crafting World and I've decided to share a few projects that I created over a year ago.  I've been down with the "ugly bug" that seems to be going around so my craft room has been abandoned until I feel better.

So, here we go:
 This cutie was created using the Bear I Lava You digital stamp.

The next projects were my first ones using PCW cut files and my Pazzles electronic cutter.
PCW cut file used: Bear w Heart Balloons

PCW cut file used: Bunny Raggedy w Hearts

Thanks for taking a step back with me today.

Lots of Love Blog Hop

Hi Crafty Friends!!  So glad you could join me for My Paper Crafting's
Lots of Love Blog Hop

 There are only 8 stops along the way. So this will be a quick and inspiring hop for your Valentine's day crafting. If you came from Jen's Blog, then you are in the right place. The hop starts at My Paper Crafting so be sure to head over there and catch every stop along the way.

I decided to create two projects for this hop.  The first one uses a PCW cut file and the second one uses a PCW digi stamp.
Here are my projects~

PCW cut file used:  Double Heart CF
Other supplies include:
Spellbinders Lacy Oval die, Jaded Blossom Mini Tag Die, Bo Bunny and American Crafts card stock, My Craft Spot Build a Valentine stamp set, gem, ribbon, Signo white gel pen.

PCW digi stamp used: Snow Melt My Heart
Other supplies include:
American Crafts XOXO card stock, Spellbinders Labels 3, Jaded Blossom Valentine Die set, Recollections stickers, ribbon, at You Spica glitter pen, Wink of Stella brush glitter.

Now the fun stuff!
To sweeten up the hop, we are giving away a $20 gift certificate to PCW as well as picking one person from each blog that leaves a comment for a free single svg or digi of their choice from PCW (sets no greater than $2.00).

***The gift certificate will be drawn from one person who leaves a comment on any one of the 8 blogs participating via random selection.***

The individual winners will be selected via random selection by the comments left on each particular blog.

Don't forget to leave a comment on each blog so you can increase your chances of winning!

~~~ONE MORE THING~~~
Since I am so close to having 400 followers, if I reach 400 during the hop, I will select a second winner for a single digi or cut file from the comments left on my blog.
Now on to Sandy's Blog.
If  you get lost along the way, the line-up is posted on My Paper Crafting.
A Wine Bottle Tag
Hello Crafty Friends,
Today I'd like to share a large tag I made to place on a bottle being taken as a host gift for Thanksgiving.  For this design team project I used the Tag Ornamental cut file from Paper Crafting World.
I cut the tag on my Cameo without resizing the file.  The tag is 4 x 7.5 which is a great size to place on a wine bottle.  I think it will be a "stand-alone" decoration.  The tag has 3 mat layers then the ornamental design.
I also used the Cricut Flower Shoppe cartridge to cut out these flowers.  I cut them from white paper and used my VersaMagic Chalk ink to color them.  Then I burnished them on a soft mat so they would have some dimension before layering each one.  The leaves were punched with the Martha Stewart double leaf punch.  The ribbon is hand-died crinkle ribbon.    Finally, I made a quick banner tag to add to the top using a stamp from Bug Bites Autumn Splendor set.
Thanks for joining me today.  I hope your holiday season is off to a great start and that you and yours will have a blessed and happy Thanksgiving.
Treats Only!
Hello Crafty Friends,
For today's project I used a cut file from Paper Crafting World to make a door sign for my daughter's office.  She's a softball coach and her players often drop in since they know she keeps treats for them.  I think this sign will be perfect for Halloween.
I cut this project using my Cameo.  The PCW cut files come in many formats so they're easy to cut with whatever electronic cutter you may have.  This file cut like a dream on the Cameo.
Here's the file that can be found in the PCW store HERE.
Hope you're having a great week.  Thanks for stopping by.
Autumn Greetings
Hello Crafty Friends,
It's finally fall and I'm so ready for the weather change!  It's my day to post on the Paper Crafting World Design Team Blog. I'm sharing a fall card using the Acorn  N' Flourish cut file.
The patterned paper mats are from the DCWV Harvest Gathering Stack . The acorns and flourish were cut from my patterned paper scraps.  I love using patterned paper for the various parts of the cut files.  To add some dimension, I cut two flourishes and staggered them.  I also cut 2 each of the acorn caps.  All the edges are inked and I tied American Crafts twine for embellishment along with the 3 gems.
Here's a closer look at the layering.
This is the PCW cut file used:
Celebrating Fall
Hi Everyone,
Just got back from 3 fabulous days of crafting at my local scrapbook store, Memories for the Making
in Lodi, California.  I got so many projects completed and I'll be sharing some of them with you over the next few weeks.
Today is my turn to post on the Design Team blog for Paper Crafting World.
I'm so happy to be designing around the fall theme.  I just love the oranges, yellows, greens, and browns that represent the season.
Here's my card:
PCW cut file used: Pumpkins Corner Vine
The papers are the DCWV Amber Autumn Stack and Bo Bunny Vintage Dots.  I made the crinkle ribbon using Hug Snug seam binding and Ranger Distressed Stain.
I used the backside of the Bo Bunny dots paper for the leaves and inked all the edges with Powder Puff Chalking Ink in Mocha Mama.  I used my Pazzles Electronic Cutter to cut the pieces.
Here's the file I used:
I'm entering in the following challenges:
The Corrosive Challenge "#182 All About Fall"
Paper Playtime "Use 3 different papers"
Unstampabelles Challenge "Use scraps and old stash" - the background papers are from a DCWV stack I purchased 2 years ago.
While at the 3-day crop, we were provided with daily Make n Takes.  This is a double page layout that we were given.  There was lots of room to determine our own mat location and how many we wanted to add.  I also added the doodling to highlight different parts of the layout.
Thanks for stopping by today.  If you're feeling like you want to start in on your fall projects,  be sure to head to Paper Crafting World for you digital prinatables and cut files.
Hugs and Happy Crafting,
A Fall Layout
Hello Crafty Friends,
I love September because it's still summer but it's time to start thinking about fall, especially when it comes to designing projects.
For today's post, I've created a single page layout using cut files from
Paper Crafting World.
The background paper is an older DCWV stack called Indian Summer Fall Stack.  The mats and cuts for the spray and title are from Bo Bunny vintage Dots papers.
Here's a close up of the title.  It's the PCW Fall Title cut file
This is a close up of the PCW Fall Spray cut file.  I inked the leaves and acorns before adhering them to the project.
Finally, a closer look at the ribbon, buttons, and twine I used to decorate the corners.  I found the wooden buttons at JoAnn a few years back.  The twine and ribbon are by American Crafts.
The My Paper Crafting/Paper Crafting World designers have moved to the PCW Blog.
You can find our projects HERE.
Paper Crafting World also has an active Facebook page.  It would be wonderful if you'd visit the page and "Like" us.  Just click HERE.
I'm entering this layout in the My Sheri Crafts "Fall Colors" challenge.
School is Cool!
Hi Crafty Friends,
I've been enjoying another week with family.  Our youngest daughter has been here for a week but is flying back to Champaign, IL tonight.  It's been a great summer having both of our girls spend time at home.
Today is my day to post at My Paper Crafting so I have two project to share with you.
First is an altered composition book.
I've used Paper Crafting World's Bookworm N Apple digital printable image.
If you love making altered comp books, now is the time to stock up.  I know Staples has them for 50¢.
I've used DCWV's Chalkboard stack for the slate.  This paper is so much fun.  If you use chalk pens (CTMH or Marvy), the writing can easily be erased - even after a month!!!
Next, I created this card using a PCW cut file and my Pazzles.
I've used PCW's cut file Loopy Swirls Card Set and a sentiment from
PCW's Just Because Sentiment Set
These beautiful papers are from DCWV's Mariposa Stack - yummy!
Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll be back Thursday with my Delightful Challenges post.
Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Summertime Cards
Hey There Crafty Friends!
Seems like forever since I posted.  My daughter had a week off so we took advantage of the time and did almost a week's worth of mother/daughter things - lunches,dinners, shopping,
and a weekend at Lake Tahoe!
But, I'm back in the craft room and have two new projects for you today.
Both of them use files from Paper Crafting World.
My first card uses a cut file called Brain Freeze Bear with Popsicle.  The file is sized to be a page layout and includes a title.  I resized it on my Pazzles to created this fun summer card.  I chose to use patterned paper for the bear.  I think it turned out really cute.  The background papers are from Authentique - I LOVE that paper line!
I usually ink the pieces from the cut file, but since I used patterned paper I decided to use foam squares to add dimension.
I'm going to enter this card in the following challenges:
A.R.T. "Anything Goes"
Crafty Ribbons "Anything Goes with Ribbon"
Crafts 4 Eternity "Anything Goes"
Cut it Up"Celebrate Summer"
Crazy 4 Challenges "Picnic"
Next, I used a Paper Crafting World digital printable to create this card.
The PCW digi used is Bear Sodadightul - girl.
I used Spellbinders Labels 3 for the matting and My Craft Spot Tiny Banners dies for the pennants.  The paper is from the Carta Bella Giddy Up line.  I got the lace ribbon from "Peachy Cheap."  The bear is colored with Copic Markers and highlighted with atYou Spica glitter pens.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
4 Crafty Chicks "Pennants"
C.R.A.F.T Challenge "For the Girls
Totally Papercrafts "Use Lace"
A Sneak Peek at a new Cut File
I'm so glad you stopped by because I'm really excited to share this sneak peek of a new cut file that will be released at Paper Crafting World on Saturday.
This altered composition book was created using the new Baseball Bear Layout cut file.
Since my daughter coaches softball at Texas Tech University, I had to change things up a little so it would be a softball design.  Easy peasy- I just added the softball title from the Sports Mania cartridge, added a dirt infield, and made the ball a softball by cutting it out in yellow and adding red stitching.  Of course my bear has to wear the Tech colors and the Double T's!
Melin has a wonderful "creating faces: tutorial on the My Paper Crafting blog.  Just click the "How To" tab, then look under All other Tutorials in the drop down menu.
Just Because
Good Morning!
I want to share a card that I made using the Basic Lattice Card file from'
Paper Crafting World.
It's another project posted for the Sizzlin Summer happenings at
My Paper Crafting.
I used the DCWV Lemon Flower Stack.  I must say, it cut very easily on the Pazzles.
All of the elements on the card, except the handcut sentiment tag, are included in the cut file.
PCW Cut File used:  Basic Lattic Card
The ribbon is my hand-died crinkle ribbon accented with a Crafter's Floss bow and black gem.  I inked the edges of all the flowers and leaves and then rolled the petals around a skewer to add a little dimension.  I also added black gems to the flower centers.
I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
My Sheri Crafts "What's the Buzz"
One Stop Craft Challenge #233 "Anything Goes"
That Craft Place Challenge "Ribbons and/or Lace"
Fun-day Friday Challenge "Anything Goes"
Sister Act #14 "Anything Goes"
