Flashback Tuesday

Hi Crafty Friends,
Today is my design team day at Paper Crafting World and I've decided to share a few projects that I created over a year ago.  I've been down with the "ugly bug" that seems to be going around so my craft room has been abandoned until I feel better.

So, here we go:
This cutie was created using the Bear I Lava You digital stamp.

The next projects were my first ones using PCW cut files and my Pazzles electronic cutter.
PCW cut file used: Bear w Heart Balloons

PCW cut file used: Bunny Raggedy w Hearts

Thanks for taking a step back with me today.

Halloween Treats

Good Morning Crafty Friends,
Woohoo!  Today is my debut as a designer for Digi My World.

For my first project, I decided to make a set of Halloween Treats.

This Candy Tube Holder is a cut file from SVGCutting Files.  It holds two CTMH candy tubes.  The image is one of the adorable witches from Digi My World's No Fraidy Cats set.

On the back, I used the ghost from DMW's Halloween Tags set.

Next I used another Halloween Tag for this lollipop cover which is another cut file from SVG Cutting files called Kawaii Sailing Summer Lollipop Cover.

And finally I used more of the Halloween Tags to make this card.

Thanks for stopping in today.  I'm really looking forward to sharing more adorable images from
Digi My World.  I'll be posting on the DMW blog on Wednesdays.

Autumn Greetings

Hello Crafty Friends,

It's finally fall and I'm so ready for the weather change!  It's my day to post on the Paper Crafting World Design Team Blog. I'm sharing a fall card using the Acorn  N' Flourish cut file.

The patterned paper mats are from the DCWV Harvest Gathering Stack . The acorns and flourish were cut from my patterned paper scraps.  I love using patterned paper for the various parts of the cut files.  To add some dimension, I cut two flourishes and staggered them.  I also cut 2 each of the acorn caps.  All the edges are inked and I tied American Crafts twine for embellishment along with the 3 gems.

Here's a closer look at the layering.

This is the PCW cut file used:

If you're looking for fall ideas, be sure to visit Paper Crafting World.
Melin has a large variety of digital stamps and cut files that are perfect for your fall crafting.

Thanks for stopping by.  I love being able to share my ideas with you.

Celebrating Fall

Hi Everyone,
Just got back from 3 fabulous days of crafting at my local scrapbook store, Memories for the Making
in Lodi, California.  I got so many projects completed and I'll be sharing some of them with you over the next few weeks.

Today is my turn to post on the Design Team blog for Paper Crafting World.
I'm so happy to be designing around the fall theme.  I just love the oranges, yellows, greens, and browns that represent the season.
Here's my card:
PCW cut file used: Pumpkins Corner Vine
The papers are the DCWV Amber Autumn Stack and Bo Bunny Vintage Dots.  I made the crinkle ribbon using Hug Snug seam binding and Ranger Distressed Stain.

I used the backside of the Bo Bunny dots paper for the leaves and inked all the edges with Powder Puff Chalking Ink in Mocha Mama.  I used my Pazzles Electronic Cutter to cut the pieces.

Here's the file I used:

I'm entering in the following challenges:
The Corrosive Challenge "#182 All About Fall"
Paper Playtime "Use 3 different papers"
Unstampabelles Challenge "Use scraps and old stash" - the background papers are from a DCWV stack I purchased 2 years ago.

While at the 3-day crop, we were provided with daily Make n Takes.  This is a double page layout that we were given.  There was lots of room to determine our own mat location and how many we wanted to add.  I also added the doodling to highlight different parts of the layout.

Thanks for stopping by today.  If you're feeling like you want to start in on your fall projects,  be sure to head to Paper Crafting World for you digital prinatables and cut files.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,

A Fall Layout

Hello Crafty Friends,
I love September because it's still summer but it's time to start thinking about fall, especially when it comes to designing projects.
For today's post, I've created a single page layout using cut files from
Paper Crafting World.
The background paper is an older DCWV stack called Indian Summer Fall Stack.  The mats and cuts for the spray and title are from Bo Bunny vintage Dots papers.
Here's a close up of the title.  It's the PCW Fall Title cut file
This is a close up of the PCW Fall Spray cut file.  I inked the leaves and acorns before adhering them to the project.
Finally, a closer look at the ribbon, buttons, and twine I used to decorate the corners.  I found the wooden buttons at JoAnn a few years back.  The twine and ribbon are by American Crafts.
The My Paper Crafting/Paper Crafting World designers have moved to the PCW Blog.
You can find our projects HERE.
Paper Crafting World also has an active Facebook page.  It would be wonderful if you'd visit the page and "Like" us.  Just click HERE.
I'm entering this layout in the My Sheri Crafts "Fall Colors" challenge.

A Sneak Peek at a new Cut File

I'm so glad you stopped by because I'm really excited to share this sneak peek of a new cut file that will be released at Paper Crafting World on Saturday.
This altered composition book was created using the new Baseball Bear Layout cut file.
Since my daughter coaches softball at Texas Tech University, I had to change things up a little so it would be a softball design.  Easy peasy- I just added the softball title from the Sports Mania cartridge, added a dirt infield, and made the ball a softball by cutting it out in yellow and adding red stitching.  Of course my bear has to wear the Tech colors and the Double T's!

Melin has a wonderful "creating faces: tutorial on the My Paper Crafting blog.  Just click the "How To" tab, then look under All other Tutorials in the drop down menu.
I hope you've been visiting My Paper Crafting to see the daily Sizzlin Summer projects.  Don't forget to sign up for the Newsletter to receive special "subscriber only" specials offered each Saturday along with the newest files being released at PCW.
I'd like to enter this project in

Just Because

Good Morning!
I want to share a card that I made using the Basic Lattice Card file from'
Paper Crafting World.
It's another project posted for the Sizzlin Summer happenings at
My Paper Crafting.
I used the DCWV Lemon Flower Stack.  I must say, it cut very easily on the Pazzles.
All of the elements on the card, except the handcut sentiment tag, are included in the cut file.
PCW Cut File used:  Basic Lattic Card

The ribbon is my hand-died crinkle ribbon accented with a Crafter's Floss bow and black gem.  I inked the edges of all the flowers and leaves and then rolled the petals around a skewer to add a little dimension.  I also added black gems to the flower centers.
I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
My Sheri Crafts "What's the Buzz"
One Stop Craft Challenge #233 "Anything Goes"
That Craft Place Challenge "Ribbons and/or Lace"
Fun-day Friday Challenge "Anything Goes"

Bears in Bikinis? Oh My!

Good Morning Crafty Friends,
I hope you had a delightful July 4th.  We went to the parade here in our little town - it was really enjoyable.  Then we came home to hide out in the air conditioning because we're still in the middle of a heat wave.  I may venture out tonight to watch the fireworks.

These are the projects that I shared today at My Paper Crafting using files from
Paper Crafting World.

I created this card about a year ago for my Copic Class gals.  The digi is
Bear in Bikini colored with my Copic markers.

Then I decided that for today's post I'd like to use the same image but as a cut file using my Pazzles.
So, for this card I used the Bear in Bikini cut file.

Be sure to visit My Paper Crafting every day to see the wonderful projects being shared by the
PCW desing team as we celebrate a Sizzlin Summer.  Melin will be releasing new cut files and digi stamps every Saturday beginning July 13th.  And, if you visit MPC today, there will be a FREE digi download.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Created with Love Challenges "For the Girls"
Tuesday Morning Sketches #205
Tammy's Scrappin Corner "Summer Fun"
Paper Take Weekly "Anything Goes"
Robyn's Fetish "at the Beach"

I've used the Flowers 2 cut file from Paper Crafting World which I cut with my Pazzles.

It's Terrific Tuesday at My Paper Crafting.  It's time for the design team members to share svg projects from Paper Crafting World.  For this challenge I chose the Spring Brown Bunnies Set and cut it out with my Pazzles.

There is one more bunny and some flowers also included in the set so it would be perfect for a page layout.  My card is 5x7.
The paper is American Craft as is the ribbon.
You can find the cut file HERE.

More to Celebrate

Happy Weekend Everyone!
It's a special one for me because we are in Texas with BOTH of our daughters celebrating the youngest's and hubby's birthdays.

I shared a birthday card yesterday and now I'm sharing a few more decorations.
Pazzles has just come out with a new CD/download called PARTIES.  It includes projects (cut files) for 6 different themes.  I used the Diva party to make these decorations.  Janna loves pink and black and animal print so the cut files were perfect.
Aren't these shoes the cutest things?  And they were quite easy to cut and assemble.

The "purse" was supposed to be a place card but I just enlarged it and used a flower instead of a name plate.  The flowers on the purse and shoes are more from my prize package of handmade flowers created by the talented Jani of Paper Compulsions - you must visit her blog, her flowers are amazing and there is a great tutorial.

And here's my birthday girl!

ONE MORE THING!

If you have a chance, please drop by Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.  Today's post (Saturday Showcase) features My Paper Crafting and Paper Crafting World
Lisa does an amazing job showcasing different crafters, blogs, and techniques.  She truly is a gift to the crafting world with her kind words and willingness to share the talent of others.
I'm so glad to have met Lisa through her participation in Digi Desserts Fridaze.
She has something special to share everyday and a visit to her blog is worth it.

Have a wonderful weekend.  We had a special breakfast and now have two more Texas Tech softball games, a special dinner out tomorrow and just special moments with the ones we love.

Isn't she sweet?  The card is 5 x 7. I followed Melin's tutorial for her eyes.
Papers - stash
Punch - MS butterfly
Border - CutUps, grass
VersaMagic chalk inks, Recollections gems, Signo white gel pen, American Crafts ribbon, foam dimensionals

You'll see more wonderful SVG projects at My Paper Crafting.  You'll also find a list of all of the
24 Carrot EGG-stravaganza Blog Hop winners.

Finally
Don't forget to link up your digi projects to Digi Desserts Fridaze.  You can use ANY digi, but if you use a PCW digi you'll get two entries and also be considered for a Guest Designer invitation.

Celebrate

I used my Pazzles and an adorable cut file from Paper Crafting World to make this sweet birthday card for Die Cut Tuesday at My Paper Crafting.

The cut file is Celebrate Bear, Cupcake and Balloons and can be found HERE.

Instead of using colored cardstock for the balloons, I cut them out using Xpress- it paper so I could color with my Copic Markers for a more transparent look.
All of the cut layers are inked with VersaMagic Chalk ink.  I used a Signo white gel pen for the faux stitching and highlights on the eyes and nose.  The balloon strings are baker's twine and the dotted strip is Washi tape.

I hope you'll plan to visit My Paper Crafting to see more cut file projects and link up your own.

You still have time to link up to Digi Desserts Fridaze.  There's a great freebie that you can download as well.  You're linking up for a chance to win a free digi from PCW and a chance to become our next Guest Designer.  Just click HERE.
