Bears in Bikinis? Oh My!

Good Morning Crafty Friends,
I hope you had a delightful July 4th.  We went to the parade here in our little town - it was really enjoyable.  Then we came home to hide out in the air conditioning because we're still in the middle of a heat wave.  I may venture out tonight to watch the fireworks.

These are the projects that I shared today at My Paper Crafting using files from
Paper Crafting World.

I created this card about a year ago for my Copic Class gals.  The digi is
Bear in Bikini colored with my Copic markers.

Then I decided that for today's post I'd like to use the same image but as a cut file using my Pazzles.
So, for this card I used the Bear in Bikini cut file.

Be sure to visit My Paper Crafting every day to see the wonderful projects being shared by the
PCW desing team as we celebrate a Sizzlin Summer.  Melin will be releasing new cut files and digi stamps every Saturday beginning July 13th.  And, if you visit MPC today, there will be a FREE digi download.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Created with Love Challenges "For the Girls"
Tuesday Morning Sketches #205
Tammy's Scrappin Corner "Summer Fun"
Paper Take Weekly "Anything Goes"
Robyn's Fetish "at the Beach"

So Sweet

I'm sharing a card that I made for Terrific Tuesday/SVG Cuts at My Paper Crafting.
I'm enjoying using my Pazzles with .wpc and svg cut files.  I still love my Cricut, but there are so many fabulous files available for the other cutters and Paper Crafting World has quite a selection.

This card uses the So Sweet Title cut file.  I also used the
Sweet as Cherries digital printable file and the Sweet as Cherries Designer Digital Paper,
all from Paper Crafting World.

I used my hand died crinkle ribbon, Crafter's Floss, and Washi tape for embellishment.

Here's the inside:
I used Word to insert the digi paper and then place the digi in front- used the jpeg format so the digi wouldn't be transparent.   When I printed it out, the digi was ready to color right on the patterned paper.

You'll find more SVG projects when you visit My Paper Crafting.

Celebrate

I used my Pazzles and an adorable cut file from Paper Crafting World to make this sweet birthday card for Die Cut Tuesday at My Paper Crafting.

The cut file is Celebrate Bear, Cupcake and Balloons and can be found HERE.

Instead of using colored cardstock for the balloons, I cut them out using Xpress- it paper so I could color with my Copic Markers for a more transparent look.
All of the cut layers are inked with VersaMagic Chalk ink.  I used a Signo white gel pen for the faux stitching and highlights on the eyes and nose.  The balloon strings are baker's twine and the dotted strip is Washi tape.

I hope you'll plan to visit My Paper Crafting to see more cut file projects and link up your own.

Yummy Love

Hello Crafty Friends!
I sure hope you haven't experienced the cold and flu that's going around.  I caught a cold over 3 weeks ago and it keeps rearing its ugly head.  I had the entire house to myself for 4 days and didn't have the energy to craft - imagine!!  I'm on the mend now, just a nasty residule cough.

Anyway - it's Die Cut Tuesday at My Paper Crafting.  I finished the last of my Valentine goodies for my daughters using the Love in Heart Title cut file from Paper Crafting World.

These are large chocolate bar pockets - you know, the Godiva or Trader Joe's giant bars.  The titles are cut in three layers with the top layer popped up.  I used my Pazzles to cut the files.  The flowers are more from the amazing set of 100 handmade flowers that I received from Jani of Paper Compulsions.  The gifts are simple but fun and I think the girls will like the papers and colors.

Be sure to join me for Digi Desserts Fridaze at My Paper Crafting.  You still have time to pick up last week's free digi and enter for a chance to be selected as a future Guest Designer.

Chimney Santa

Hello Crafty Friends!
It's my turn to present Hostess Monday on the Digital Delights by Louby Loo blog.
I made two quick and easy projects using SVG Delightful Cuts.  I'm so excited that I can now use cut files along with my digi stamps and Cricut cartridges.  I love having the Pazzles Inspiration cutter as part of my crafting tools.

This first project uses the Christmas Cracker cut file.  It was so easy to cut and  gather at the ends.  I've tried a few other cracker box files and just couldn't get the ends to work.  This one was easy peasy.  The papers are digital papers from the Mistletoe Paper Pack.

Next I used the Elf Boot Card cut file.  Again, this project went together so easily.  I used more of the Mistletoe Paper Pack  and a sentiment from the Touch of Christmas set.

Finally, Wendy asked me to create something using one of her newest digital image sets,
Chimney Santa Set.  This image and sentiment just make me smile - I think they're so clever.  I wanted to make a pedestal card so it looked like Santa was on a roof.  I drew shingles on the brown kraft paper and added Frosted Lace Stickles so it looked like snow on the roof.  Isn't this sentiment just the best?  Ha-ha, I giggle everytime I read it.

Links to each of the cut files and digis I used for these projects can be found HERE.

I'll be back Tuesday with my final post for Tuesday Throwdown so I hope you'll come back to visit.

I've Got Spirit, How 'Bout You?

Hello my crafty friends.
This week the Tuesday Throwdown gals are showing their team spirit.  For us Northern California gals that might be the World Series Champions San Francisco Giants - WOOHOO!

Since my project was finished before the World Series ended, I'm showing my support of another team.  My oldest daughter is Associate Head Coach for Women's Softball at Texas Tech University.
Go Red Raiders!!

Anyway, this week's sponsor, Creations by AR, has the cutest cutfiles.  I used Adela's cutfile called "Sneakies" to create this project.  I used the PDF format and it really was quite simple to hand cut and assemble.  I think it's just so adorable. I do plan to finish the pair LOL.
The file also has a hi-top option.
Here are two more views.

I hope you'll visit Tuesday Throwdown to see more of the Adela's creations - they're pretty amazing.  Then you can show your own team spirit by linking your project to our blog.

A Sad Farewell

We are saying goodbye to K Andrew Designs and Getting Cricky.  Kristal is a full time teacher and raising two little boys so she's decided to close her K Andrew Designs Art Stamps business.
Kristal's stamps have been an anchor for my creations and it's sad to see her business close.
The design team members are each posting one more time.

Today is my post at Getting Cricky.

So, this little card has something old (my K Andrew Designs "Fall O Ween" stamp set) and something new - my first cutfile creation using my Pazzles machine.  It was a fun card to make and I'm excited to add the world of cutfiles to my design creations.

Hurry on over to K Andrew Designs to get your stamp sets 60% off.  There's still time and you won't want to miss out.

It's been great fun being on the GC design team.  Some of my favorite designers and bloggers are a part of that team and I will truly miss designing with them.  Don't forget to drop by Getting Cricky for the next two weeks as we're still designing and sharing our love for K Andrew Design stamps.
