Sketch Saturday #757 ~ Optional Twist, Summer Colors

Hi Crafty Friends,
We have a new sketch for you along with the optional twist ~ use summer colors.

Here's my project using the sketch below and the optional twist.

I used images from several stamp sets I had on hand, Jaded Blossom's Stitched and Scallop Rectangle dies and papers from Echo Park.  The images were colored using Copic Markers.

Outlawz Festive Friday Challenge ~ July

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's the first Friday of a new month (July) so time for a newOutlawz Festive Friday Challenge.

I've used my newest Betterpress Society plate (Summer Vibes) to create this card.

I ink blended the cloud background using Jaded Blossom's Clouds stencil and Distress Oxides.

Then I used the registration template to press the images using Betterpress Ink.

I foiled the sentiment - yes, you can use Betterpress plates with your Glimmer Foiling system - and cut it our using Pinkfresh Studio's Nested Arches.

This is an A2 topfold card.

Today I'm sharing a card that I designed for several challenges.So often I'm creating for my design team releases or challenges, but today I designed a card just to have fun with it and enter a few challenges myself.
Here's my card.

I used Jaded Blossom slim line dies, mini tag dies 2, and tropical flowers dies.  I also used LaLa Land Crafts island die, tropical leaves, and Birds of a Feather stamp set.  I cut all the die pieces using a Gemini Jr.  The bird was colored using Copic markers.

Jaded Blossom ~ Summer Fun

 Hi Crafty Friends,

It's my day to post over on the Jaded Blossom Blog.

As I shared in a previous post, some crafting friends and I challenged one another to make cards using an entire 6 x 6 paper pad.

I chose Echo Park's I Love Summer.  After looking through all the pattern papers I realized that I had the perfect Jaded Blossom Dies to help me complete this challenge.

Here are 5 of the individual cards I created.  I made a total of 11 but some of my fellow crafters made upwards of 25!  I used entire sheets for mats so my papers didn't go as far.  This was a fun challenge and I encourage you to try it.  You can find some adorable 6 x 6 pads in the Jaded Blossom store.

Some of gals on the Cut it Up Challenge Blog challenged one another to use an entire 6 x 6 paper pad to see how many cards we could make.  We all agreed that we have boxes full of these fun little tablets that really need to be used.
So, I used Echo Park's I Love Summer 6 x 6 pad.  I discovered just what a paper-waster I am!  EEEEK!  I guess it's because most of the time I create as I go and if I've cut something and it doesn't work for my "vision", I toss it and go at it again.
I made 11 A2 cards (far fewer than my fellow design team pals but for me it was pretty amazing.)
Here they are:

I used a lot of my Jaded Blossom dies and a few LaLa Land Crafts (sandcastle and words.)

Cut it Up Challenge #203 ~ Celebrate Summer

Summer is here and the weather in northern California is definitely a testament to the season!

For our Cut it Up Challenge we are celebrating summer using some fun COLORS:

turquoise, yellow, hot pink, coral.  Let's see what you've got using any or all of these happy summer colors.

Here's my project using a cute svg POCKET file from our sponor,

How cute is this?  I added stitching and this little duckling using LaLa Land Crafts clear stamps, You Lucky Duck and A Pocket Full.  I also used Jaded Blossom's Card Mat Dies and Border Dies and made my dimensional dots using Nuvo Crystal Drops.

By the way, if you haven't checked out Regina's files then you are truly missing out. Just a note - if you love PLANNERS, this is the website for you.  She has so many options.  You can create a planner for you exact needs and they're easy to print!

Don't have an electronic cutter?  She also provides PDF files than can be printed and hand-cut.
