Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers ~ Sketch 32 Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I'm sharing my first card for the Sketch #32 challenge in our Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers FaceBook Group.

You have until the end of the month to join in the challenge.  Just add your card to the Sketch 32 album using the link above for a chance to win some fun crafty goodies.

I love having a head start on holiday card making. For today's card, I used double sided papers so had enough to make two different cards just by reversing the patterned paper.  I'll share the second card in another post since I used a different image.

The designer papers, image, and sentiment die are all from LaLa Land Crafts.  I colored used Copic markers.

Here's the monthly sketch for you to follow:

I hope you'll play along.

Pearly Sparkles March Challenge ~ Include a Sentiment or Verse

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I'm sharing my March Pearly Sparkles' design team project and inviting you to join our March challenge.
I attended the Create and Color Boot Camp in January which featured stamps and dies by LaLa Land Crafts.  Coloring for this image was taught by the amazing Jennifer Dove.  I fell in love with this image and these dies, especially since my son-in-law is a house painter.  This card was inspired by a project we created in class.
I used the Painter Luka stamp set which included the sentiment.  The background was created using the LLLC paint splatter stencils and the fun paint brush die set.  Luka was colored using Copic Markers.

Follow the link above to play along with this month's challenge.

I colored using Copic Markers.

There's still time to link up HERE.

I can't wait to see your entry!

Cut it Up Challenge #253 ~ Father's Day Tic Tac Toe

Hi Crafty Friends,

We have a fun Father's Day Challenge at Cut it Up Challenge Blog.
We're using a Tic Tac Toe board to guide the project design.

Here's my card.  You'll find the Tic Tac Board below.

The Hippo is from Lala Land Crafts Nailed It set and the sentiments are from Jaded Blossom. The bbq tools are also from Lala Land Crafts.  The coloring inspiration came from Martha Tucker using Copic markers.

I hope you'll play along.  Just choose a direction on the Tic Tac Toe board and be sure to include a die cut.  I chose the bottom row, hat/cap, favorite sport (ok, a little leniency here since hubby's favorite sport now is grilling!), and Father's Day

Cut it Up Challenge #231 ~ Create Your Own Background Paper

Hi Crafty Friends,

We're creating our own background papers for Cut it Up's challenge #231.

I used a LaLa Land Crafts Background stamp to create my patterned papers used for the castle and also the inside of the card.

I put Black Soot Distressed Oxide Ink on the stamp surface and placed the die cuts on the stamp and rubbed.  Then I did some additional ink blending using Hickory Smoke and a blending brush.
The project is an remake of one we did at the LaLa Land Crafts LaLa Paloosa Retreat several years ago.  The original was a larger 3-D interactive card created by a LLLC designer especially for the retreat.

It's so much fun to create your papers.  There are so many mediums to use and so many possibilities.  Be sure to visit the Cut it Up Blog to see more ideas from our design team and then share your own.

The winner of this challenge will win a $20 prize code from our sponsor,
CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

Happy Bird-Day!

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I'm sharing a card that I designed for several challenges.
So often I'm creating for my design team releases or challenges, but today I designed a card just to have fun with it and enter a few challenges myself.

Here's my card.

I used Jaded Blossom slim line dies, mini tag dies 2, and tropical flowers dies.  I also used LaLa Land Crafts island die, tropical leaves, and Birds of a Feather stamp set.
I cut all the die pieces using a Gemini Jr.  The bird was colored using Copic markers.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Cardz TV ~ #145 Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday ~ #690 Anything Goes with "summer" option
Through the Craft Room Door ~ Anything Goes

Pearly Sparkles March Challenge ~ Use a Digi Stamp

Hi Crafty Friends,

We have a new monthly challenge for you at Pearly Sparkles.

This month we're asking you to use a digi stamp.  I love using digis.  It's actually the way I got started creating cards and coloring with Copic Markers.  My very first design team was creating for a digital artist.  She took a chance on me and I never looked back!

Here's my March project - a 10th Birthday card for a very special young lady who loves unicorns.
The digital stamp is from LaLa Land Crafts, one of the Marci stamps.

All of the die cuts are also from LaLa Land Crafts.

Just click the link above to join in this month's challenge.
Thanks for visiting.  Be sure to view all of the DT projects using the same link.

Pearly Sparkles February Challenge ~ Anything Goes

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to our new challenge at Pearly Sparkles.
We know you'll love this one because it's
ANYTHING GOES!
We can't wait to see your creative projects for this new month.

Here's my design team project - a birthday card for a very special friend who
bleeds the orange and blue of the University of Illinois and loves her cats.
She was a teacher for many years and, although no children of her own, made sure the softball players at the U of I had a state of the art softball facility.  My daughter was the catcher on the first Illini softball team (2000-2004) and caught the ceremonial first pitch thrown by this amazing woman.
Happy, Happy Birthday, Shorty Eichelberger.

The die cuts and stamp are all from LaLa Land Crafts.  I used Copic Markers for the kitty and ribbons on the presents.

Please join us for this challenge.  Just link your project to the Pearly Sparkles blog (link above.)

Pearly Sparkles Monthly Challenge ~ Starts with a "P"

Hi Crafty Friends,
I hope you had a safe and happy New Year celebration!

Since COVID is very real in my part of the country we have been staying home and keeping everything very low key with few contacts.  Thank goodness for crafting.  I would have been going stir crazy after all these months.

We're beginning the New Year with a fun challenge at Pearly Sparkles.  Our theme is Starts with a "P".

So, what could be cuter than Pandas in a Pocket?

I've used stamps and dies from LaLa Land Crafts for this card along with Doodlebug Designs papers.  I colored using Copic Markers and cut everything using my Gemini Jr. and Scan N Cut2 to cut out the bears (I hate fussy cutting!)

I hope you'll play along this month.  Just add your "P" project to the link above.
