Cut it Up Challenge #335 ~ Monochrome

Hi Crafty Friends,

The next theme for Cut it Up Challenge #335 is MONOCHROME.

Here's my card using a color family I ordinarily wouldn't choose, shades of green.
I like green but don't usually choose it as the focus color, so this card was out of my comfort zone.
Of course, that's the fun of crafting, to challenge yourself do something different.

Products I've used:
Pinkfresh Studio inks and Overlapping Leafy wreath stencil and die set
Whimsy Stamps HELLO die set
Altenew Deck Planks 3D embossing folder
American Crafts ribbon

I hope you'll join us for this challenge.  Add your project to the link above.

Cut it Up Challenge #293 ~ Celebrate

Hi Crafty Friends,

What's more fun than a Celebration?  I'm always looking for reasons to create cards and a Birthday celebration is the most common, but oh so fun when you create something for a special person.

Today's Card uses the fun and fabulous Whimsy Stamps Cheers and Beers set.
I think it's perfect for our Cut it Up theme.

This is one of those sets that can be used again and again.

I hope you'll play along with us.  I also wanted thank you if you've been playing along this year.
It was scary taking over ownership of a blog and we've been so happy with the participation even without sponsors or prizes.  Card makers are special and are willing to share just for the love of the craft.

THANKS SO MUCH.

Passionate Paper Creations & Friends~ Your Next Stamp Sponsorship

Hi Crafty Friends,

We have a new sponsor on our Passionate Paper Creations & Friends FaceBook page,
Your Next Stamp.

I used the Birthday Song stamp set to create this happy shaker card.

I just love characters that make me smile and these dogs are just having too much fun.
I used patterned paper as the sentiment.  I wrapped the patterned paper with cellophane and added sequins before closing it (easy way to make shaker card without using acetate), then adhered the die cut mat.  I cut the top mat with patterned paper and foam to add a little dimension between the mat and shaker.

Your Next Stamp is offer a special discount to those who visit and join our PPCF page.

Thanks for stopping by,

Passionate Paper Creations & Friends ~ Joy Clair Sponsorhsip

Hi Crafty Friends,

Joy Clair is once again sponsoring our PPCF Facebook group.

I was given two digital stamp sets to work with.  These stamps are especially wonderful to use to create simple, yet elegant, cards.

I used the TRULY INSPIRE set for this card.  I love using simple gold mats with elegant linen paper which I die cut using a stitched circle and scored around the edge.  I used Copic markers to add a little bit of color and shading.

This card was designed using the ALWAYS IN STYLE set.  I die cut using Whimsy Stamps Envelope Edger Die set.  A little bit of Copic coloring and a satin ribbon was all that was needed to finish this card.

I encourage you to follow the link to Joy Clair Designs.  There are some wonderful images for your creative inspiration.  Be sure to visit PPCF during the sponsorship for a special deal.

Cut it Up Challenge #246 ~ Snowmen

Hi Crafty Friends,

Our Cut it Up Challenge is SNOWMEN.
I felt odd making a snowman card because we've been having warm weather in California.  However, this morning I woke up to a hard frost.  Our lawn looks like it's covered with snow - who knew?
I guess the weather is as unpredictable as the world situation - ugh!

Our sponsor, Oddball Art, provided the team with some really cute digital snowmen to use.

Here's my project.

This is the cover of the card using a card mat die from Whimsy stamps.
I colored the two snowmen the same for a reason:
here's the inside.

I loved this sentiment from Jaded Blossom's Winter Wishes stamp set and figured this might be a clever way to convey the message.

If you haven't worked with digital stamps, you're missing out on some creative versatility.  This is the same stamp, but I was able to reverse it and resize it to create the card.
I colored using Copic Markers, cut the images out using a Scan NCut 2, and used the Gemini Jr. for die cutting.

I hope you'll play along.  Oddball Art is providing a $10 gift voucher to their store for our lucky winner.

Hi Crafty Friends,

Happy 2022!
I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and that this new year will be filled with peace, love, and lots of time for crafting!

Our January theme at Pearly Sparkles is "January Blues."  Let's see lots of BLUE on your project.

Here's my project, a birthday card for my nephew.

I used the Lookin Shark stamp set and Peekaboo Window 4 die, both from Whimsy Stamps.  The Copic coloring was inspired by Jennifer Dove. The snarky sentiment is from The Rabbit Hole Designs Sassy Birthday set.

I hope you'll start your crafty new year off by joining our challenge.  Just follow the link above.

Cut it Up Challenge #230 ~ Seen Any Good Movies?

Hi Crafty Friends,

It' time for another Cut it Up Challenge.

Our challenge rules are simple: use at least one die cut and follow the theme - easy peasy.

Our challenge sponsor, offering a $20 store credi, is PINK AND MAIN.

I sure have missed going to the movies and this card brings back those memories.

I used my three favorite stamp and die companies for this project.
The window card mat die is from Whimsy Stamps, the image is Marci, a Lala Land Crafts digi image, the sentiment, flag die, coffee cup, and film dies are from Jaded Blossom.
The popcorn was a free image I downloaded from Google.

I hope you'll play along with this challenge.  Just follow the Cut it Up link above.

Cut It Up Challenge #204 ~ Create Your Own Background Paper

Hi Crafty Friends,

We have a really fun challenge for you at Cut it Up Challenge Blog.
We want to see you create your own background paper.

I had fun with this one.  I'm trying to expand my blending and stamping skills so here's what I created.

I blended Distress Ink onto some Papertrey Ink white paper.  Then I die cut the slimline frame using a metallic paper(Whimsy Stamps) and placed it over the blended paper to determine the placement for the panels.  I used Jaded Blossom's Spring Splatters for the top and bottom panel, stamping on top of the blended background.  I used the slimline die again to cut each panel from the section I wanted.  Finally, I added these adorable cacti from Cute Cacti (Whimsy Stamps) and added a LaLa Land Crafts cloud and some grass clusters.  The sentiment also came from the Cute Cacti set.  I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops and called it done.

I hope you'll play along with us.  Be sure to visit the Cut It Up blog to see even more amazing backgrounds!

My Time to Craft #408 ~ Halloween OR Cats

Hi Crafty Friends,

Our My Time to Craft challenge is double-themed this week for those of you who don't participate in Halloween.

I just love Whimsy Stamps, especially their monthly Paper Door kits.  The stamps I used for this project are from one of last year's kits but the stamps are still available in the store, just not as a kit.

The card base is a Whimsy Stamp die.  I colored using Copic Markers.

I hope you'll join us with either a Cat or Halloween project.  Just follow the link above.

Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge 437 ~ Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,

We're celebrating BIRTHDAYS at Die Cuttin' Divas.

You can never have too many bday cards in your stash.
August was La-La Land Crafts 5th Birthday so the monthly Club Kit was a special edition created especially for birthdays.  I used two of the dies for this card.

There are just so many ways you can use these dies - this is just my first go at them.
The shaker window was created using Whimsy Stamps shaker maker rectangle die set.

I hope you'll play along with us this week.

Cut it Up Challenge #180 ~ the focus is on SENTIMENTS

Hi Crafty Friends,

For challenge #180 on the Cut it Up Challenge Blog we are focusing on SENTIMENTS.

Our sponsor, Scrapping for Less, sent an adorable clear stamp set for us to use.  It has flip flops and a cool summer drink but I decided to only use two of the sentiments this time.

I used a card mat die from Whimsy Stamps for the base.  The clouds where inked using La-La Land Crafts new Summer is Here stencil.  I also used Jaded Blossom's Tropical die to create the sandy shore.  I had the greenery die cuts in my stash.  The sun is from a Spellbinders miniature set that I found at Tuesday Morning.

I hope you'll join us for this challenge at Cut it Up.
Scrapping for Less is provided the prize for this challenge.

August Challenge at Pearly Sparkles ~ Starts with a B

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's a new month which means a new challenge at Pearly Sparkles.

Our challenge for this month is STARTS WITH A B.  Wow!  so many ways to interpret this challenge.

I've needed several birthday cards lately so naturally BIRTHDAY was the perfect  answer for this challenge! (along with BLUE and BROWN) I just love the stamps created by The Rabbit Hole Designs.  The image and sentiment is from one of their newest sets, Doggone.  It's such a fun set.  I also love the card mat dies from Whimsy stamps and have been wanting to use this one.  I love CAS and this card fits the bill.

I hope you'll join us for this month's challenge.  Just follow the link above.

Die Cuttin' Divas #424 ~ Add a Giraffe

Hi Crafty Friends,

In honor of World Giraffe Day on June 21st, the Die Cuttin' Divas crew is asking you to
add a giraffe to your project.

I've had a stamp set by Inky Antics for a really long time and finally used one of the images and sentiments.  It's a full standing giraffe but I cut it off so it could peek through the window pane.  The card mat is the Peek-a-Boo Window 4 die from Whimsy stamps
I colored using Copic Markers and added a few stamped leaves from one of the newest The Rabbit Hole Designs sets.

Come on over to Die Cuttin Divas and show us your giraffe project.  Don't forget to add a die cut!

Die Cuttin' Divas #419 ~ Flowers

Hi Crafty Friends,

We're celebrating Mother's Day at Die Cuttin' Divas by creating something with flowers.

I chose to make a tag.

I used the Jaded Blossom Luggage Tag die for the base and added the Peony Flower set from Whimsy Stamps.  The sentiment die is from Crafter's Companion Advent Calendar set.  All of the papers are from Authentique 6 x 6 pads.

Come join the fun at Die Cuttin Divas.  Follow the link above.

My Time to Craft #396 ~ CAS

Hi Crafty Friends,

We're going for Clean And Simple for challenge #396 at My Time to Craft.

I received this cute bird stamp and sentiments from Whimsy Stamps.  Every time I order from them I receive a freebie stamp in my order - so thoughtful!

I used a Whimsy Stamps border die for the simple embellishment.  I colored using Copic Markers.
I hate fussy cutting so I used my Scan N Cut2.  Did you know that if you have "open" parts in your stamped image you can close them using a pencil.  Just draw a line around the open part, scan and cut, then erase your line.  I did this between the wings and the feet.

I hope you'll join in our challenge.  Just follow the link above.

Die Cuttin' Divas ~ Challenge #415 Use Any Animal

Hi Crafty Friends,
For this week's Die Cuttin' Divas challenge you can use any animal.
I'm still working on Easter projects so I used bunnies.

For this cute little treat holder I used some great Authentique papers and the Candy Caddy die from Jaded Blossom.  The bunny dies are from Impression Obsession and the watering can is part of the new Whimsy Stamp release.  I found these yummy crispy carrot candies to put in the treat holder.

Just follow the link above to join our Any Animal challenge.
