Cut it Up Challenge #318 ~ Sparkle and Shin

Hi Crafty Friends,
The holiday season is upon us and our neighborhoods are starting to show their sparkles and shiny lights.So, what better theme for Cut it Up challenge #318 than SPARKLE AND SHINE.
There are so many ways to add sparkle and/or shine to your projects.  I'm sharing a few on my design team project.

I've created a shaker card using some fun sparkles for inside the shaker.  I added more sparkle to the pinecone and holly berries using Wink of Stella.  For the shine I used gold mirror card stock and added gold ink to the Altenew Rustic Burlap Press Plate.  Finally, the acetate shaker window definitely shines.  

I colored the Betterpress Magic of Christmas frame image using Copic markers .  The shapes were created using Pinkfresh Studio's Nested Arches dies and the corner embellishment was made from dies from Spellbinders Make it Merry Florals.

New Team!! Sketch Saturday ~ Sketch #754

Hi Crafty Friends,

Yep!  I have joined a new design team.  I seem to get more accomplished when I have deadlines and I do love using card sketches so joining the Sketch Saturday team seemed like a good match.

This is my first challenge as a DT member.  You'll find the challenge sketch below my project.

Challenge 754 is to use an archived sketch and I followed Sketch 631 with no "creative license."

The patterned paper is from an older set of Webster's Pages.  Their papers are so elegant.

All of the plain cardstock papers are from Michael's.  I also used:

Outlawz Festive Friday Challenge ~ May Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's May so time for a new Outlawz Festive Friday Challenge.
As always, we have four themes for you to choose from:Christmas (always a choice)Mother's DaySpring FlowersWrap it Up (ribbon or twine)
My card would be perfect for both Spring Flowers or Mother's Day.

I used Spellbinders Layered Daisies die set, a Scallop Oval from Jaded Blossom and gems from Pinkfresh Studio.  I die cut using Hammermill 100# cardstock and then ink blended the florals.

Cut it Up Challenge #300 ~ Happy Birthday!

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's time for Cut it Up's 300th challenge!  Wowzers, I remember when we celebrated our 100th and thought it was a really big deal.  So many cards, so many challenges and now I've been the blog owner for a little over a year.  Time flies when you love crafting.
Our 300th challenge theme is Happy Birthday.

For this birthday card I decided to use some new crafty products.The card base and window were cut from Spellbinders Make a Wish Arch Labels.The flowers are from Pinkfresh Studio's Breezy Bloons.  I used the stamp, die, and stencils from this set.  There is also a press plate but I heat embossed the stamp instead.  The gems are also from Pinkfresh Studio.  The sentiment is Jaded Blossom's So many birthdays 4.  I used Pinkfresh Studio ink cubes and design papers from Authentique.

Pearly Sparkles March Challenge ~ Celebrate

Our new challenge for March is CELEBRATE.  Oh so many ways to interpret this theme!You can join our challenge by uploading your project to the Pearly Sparkles blog HERE.
I'm sharing my project which was made for a very special 18th birthday celebration.

For this card I used Jaded Blossom's Gnome Dies and Build a Booth dies.  I also added dies from Spellbinders.

Pearly Sparkles November Challenge ~ Winter or Christmas

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's time for another Pearly Sparkles challenge.  This is the last challenge of 2023.  The design team will take a break in December and then return with all new challenges in 2024!
Our final theme for the year is Winter or Christmas.
I have fallen in love with many of the Spellbinders floral die sets.  For this card, I'm using the Christmas Bird Poinsettia set and Altenew's 3D embossing folder, Organic Linen.  I used 110# white cardstock for all the die cutting and then used Altenew Crisp Dye inks to ink blend the pieces.

Here's a fun card using the Floating Bunny die set from Spellbinders.  It also comes with balloons, but for this theme, I thought the clouds were perfect.  The sentiment is from the Whimsy Stamps Fly By set.

Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers~ Sketch 33, Card 2

Hi Crafty Friends,
I'm sharing my second design team card for {BYSH} Cardmakers using Sketch 33.
I did another holiday truck card.  I love the holiday trucks and will continue to make them using different dies and designs.  This one was made using dies from Spellbinders Through the Woods die set.

You'll notice I turned the sketch sideways.  Remember, our sketches are only for inspiration.

The papers are from Echo Park.

Pearly Sparkles May 2023 Challenge ~ Anything BUT a Card

I love making toppers for treat bags so I used Jaded Blossom's XL Topper and added a fun layering die set from Spellbinders.  Add some Lemoncello Covered Almonds and here's a yummy treat.
