Br-r-r-r

Our new challenge at Delightful Challenges is "BR R R " celebrating Winter.
That's an oxymoron here is California as we're having our warmest, driest winter in years!
I chose Skier Slippy from Digital Delights by Louby Loo for my project.
He's coloredd with Copic markers.  I've used Bo Bunny cardstock and the EK Success snowflake border punch.  The snowflakes are from my stash.  I hand cut the snow and accented them with Wink of Stella brush glitter.  I used Frosted Lace Stickles on the cap.
You can join today's winter challenge by linking your project to the Delightful Challenges blog.

Getting Cricky Simply Sunday Challenge

Today is my first day to share a project for Getting Cricky's Simply Sunday "Give Thanks" Challenge.

This card is for a wonderful woman who brought comfort to my sister in her final days.
I used stamps from Kristal's Amazing You and Splashtastic Summer Sets. Woohoo, I received 8 more stamp sets in the mail right after I finished the card so I'll have lots more options for my card making sentiments now. You can find her amazing stamp sets HERE.

The flower and leaves are EK Success and Martha Stewart punches.  The bling on the ribbon is a strip of nailhead stickers.  I heat embossed the sentiment with clear powder to bring the ink color out.

Please stop by Getting Cricky and see what the other designers are sharing.   Then you can join our Simply Sunday Challenge by adding your project to the link.

Have a wonderful Sunday.  I hope you have many things for which to Give Thanks.  I know I do, and being able to share my papercrafting passion with you is one of them.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn

Classic Card

Today I'm sharing a classic card layout.  I chose papers in the same tones using two coordinating  patterned papers layered on accenting mat colors.  I used an EK Success border punch on the accent strip, set off with ribbon, Prima flowers and pearls.  Like I said, a real classic.  After all of yesterday's excitement, I needed something quick and simple.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
Hugs and Happy Crafting,

Card for Guest Designer Spot

Today is my second time as a Guest Designer for Sketches in Thyme Tuesday Takes card challenge.  I fell in love with these papers from the S.E.I Poppy Paper Pack.  There are six different papers on the card and all are from that one pack - yummy!  The scalloped circles were punched, the flower is from Making Memories, and I found the wonderful, glittery center in the bling section of my LSS.  Some Colorbox fluid chalk, dots made with my 3-D Glaze pen, and a heat embossed sentiment added the finishing touches.

New card challenges are posted every Tuesday and for you layout lovers, there is also a Thursday layout challenge.  If you haven't visited Sketches in Thyme, you're missing some great creations.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn

Challenge Cards

It seems it's been ages since I've been able to complete any cards for RAQ's Challenge on the Cricut mb.  Yesterday I did both sketches.  I think it's a first - both sketches submitted on the first day of the challenge.
I love participating in card challenges and am looking forward to the upcoming weeks when I can be a regular contributor.
I used the Heritage cartridge for this card.  I chose the Accent image on page 58, copied it then flipped one image.  I welded both to a rectangle from George, sized on my Gypsy.  Lots of paper layering and called it done.

The papers for this card (actually both cards) are from my scrap drawers.  The flower is cut from 3 sizes of EK Success punches and then layered.  All I added was a little inking.  I'll save the sentiment for later when I decide how I'll use the card.

I hope you have a safe and wonderful New Year's Eve and Day.
May 2011 bring you happiness, love, peace and security.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn
