I Feel the Love Project

Good Morning!  It's Wednesday which means it's my design team day at Cooking with Cricut.

This week we are creating cards for Madison's I Feel the Love project.

September's project supports the children at Casa Pacifica.  The goal is at least 70 cards to send for their Halloween Party.  If you'd like to participate you can read more about IFTL HERE.  We'd love to have you link your card to our CWC Cricut Challenge and then mail your card
 by September 30 to:
Madison Womack
(IFTL) Funky Cards
P.O. Box 1203
Atascadero, CA 93423

We're asking for fun and cheery cards, nothing scary or evil looking :).  Remember, for the Cricut challenge, your project must include a Cricut cut.

I used Smiley Cards - a Gypsy exclusive - for my Candy Corn card.  I welded two shadows (one flipped) to create the shape card and then just added the base and layers.

I hope you'll read more about Madison's amazing project (and she's still in high school!) and choose to join our challenge (cute Halloween card) and also send your card to Madison.

I'm entering this card in the Cut It Up "anything goes" challenge and in the Getting Cricky "Happy Fall Y'all" challenge.

Fantabulous Cricut's 100th Challenge!

Can you believe it?  100 challenges!!  In  celebration of Fantabulous Cricut's 100th challenge, we're using FCCB's colors; green, purple, and turquoise on our projects.

So why is my card so sad??  I'm saying good bye to FCCB.  This is my final post as one of their  designers.  I've been with the team for almost a year and it has been the most wonderful experience.  Robin gave me my first design team position and I will be forever thankful.  I've loved doing the challenges, the commenting, the blog hops and the Quick Tip Tuesdays.  Thank you Robin, Amy, and all the DT gals - you ladies are the best and I wish you continued success.

I used Smiley Cards and the new Circle cartridge, Letter Envy for my farewell card. Just a little ribbon and some doodling was needed to finish the project.

You can join in the 100th challenge by linking your project to the Challenge Me Monday post at Fantabulous Cricut.  Remember to use the colors green, purple, and turquoise and also a Cricut cut.

And, I'll continue to see you at FCCB when I link up to the weekly challenges myself.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn

Pumpkins!

What says fall better than pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns?

Sheila at She's a Sassy Lady has a wonderful Gypsy Made Simple tutorial in which she makes an accordian card.  As soon as I watched the video, I knew I wanted to try her idea using a pumpkin cut.  The card base is from Elegant Edges and the pumpkins are from Create a Critter.  Everything was designed on the Gypsy.  I'm going to link this to her Gyspy Made Simple post.  I hope she likes it.

I'm also going to enter this card in Celebrate the Occasion's ribbon challenge,  Paper Playtime's Halloween challenge, and Whimsical Wednesdays' anything goes challenge.

My second pumpkin project was created for Getting Cricky's Simply Sunday challenge which was to make a fall treat.  This card holds a mini candy bar - yum!  The pumpkin was cut from Smiley Cards - first time I've used the cartridge which was a Gyspy download.  The treat holder is a 4 x 7 piece of cardstock scored at 1/2", 2", and 31/2" then folded securing the candy bar on the inside.  I plan to make more since I have a few neighbor kiddos for whom I try to make special Halloween treats.

Well, that's it for now.  I just received Art Nouveau in the mail so I want to get back to the craft table and play with my new toy!!!

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn
