Pearly Sparkles July 2025 Challenge ~ Shape Card

Hi Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge at Pearly Sparkles and I think it's a first for us.

This month we're sharing shape cards.

I think this will be a fun little notecard to share with someone.
I used these products:
Pinkfresh Studio Holiday Gifts Suite (envelope die)
Pinkfresh Studio Happy Blossom Floral stamp and stencil
Copic Markers (there is a stencil included in the Happy Blossom set but I wanted to use Copics.)
Pinkfresh Studio Butterfly washi tape
Spellbinders 3D script embossing folder

I hope you'll play along with us this month.

Jaded Blossom ~ August Monthly Challenge ~ Animals

Hi Crafty Friends,

Are you ready for a new monthly challenge at Jaded Blossom?

Our challenge theme for August is ANIMALS.
Be sure to include at least one Jaded Blossom product.

Here's my birthday card for the challenge.

I used these Jaded Blossom products in the design of this card:
Elephantastic
So Many Birthdays 4
Octagon Dies
Spring Dies
Balloon Dies

I colored using Copic Markers and used my Gemini Jr for the die cuts.
The stamped image was cut out using my Scan N Cut2.

We hope you'll link up your ANIMAL project to our challenge page.  Just follow the link above.

Winter Blessings

 Hi Crafty Friends,

It's my design team day on the Jaded Blossom blog.

I've been trying to get all of my Christmas cards finished and I think I've made it!

I was inspired by fellow Design Team member, Lee-Ann, in creating these snowglobe cards.

I cut the Christmas Scenic Die in half in order to create 2 cards.  I also used Snowglobe Die, Halloween Scenic Dies (stars) and the Cardinal Kisses Stamp set (sentiment).  The sentiment is heat embossed and I added paint spatters to create the snowy effect.  By placing the snowglobe outline die slightly above the fold, I was able to create the shaped card.

Thanks for joining me today.
Be sure you get your entries in for the November challenge.  The new monthly challenge will be posted on Sunday.

Cut it Up Challenge #206 ~ Shape Card

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's always fun to move away from rectangle or square cards so for this Cut it Up challenge we want you to share a SHAPE card with us.

Here's my card.  It's actually a gift card holder (or you could just put your message on the cupcake slide out.)

I used Jaded Blossom's Cupcake Slider Die, Candy Wrap Dies, and Another Year Older stamp set.
I added Liquid Pixie Dust for the sparkle and Nuvo drops for some dimension.

I hope you'll join us for this challenge.  Just follow the link above.

Our challenge is sponsored by
CAS-ual Fridays Stamps who will be providing a $20 prize code to our lucky winner.

Cut it Up Challenge #135 ~ Shape Card

Hi Crafty Friends,
We're making shape cards on the Cut It Up Challenge Blog.
I got an adorable file from our challenge sponsor, Fleurette Bloom called "Cutie Bugs."  I think they make adorable shape cards especially for the kiddos.
I just duplicated the bottom petal and then welded the two to create an actual card that opens.
Everything was done on the Silhouette.
Here's a peek at the entire set.
Shape cards are so much fun.  I look forward to seeing yours.  Just follow the link above to enter our challenge.

An Apple for You!

Hi Crafty Friends,

Are you gearing up for Back to School?  The design team at The Cutting Cafe certainly is.
I had the honor of being asked to be a guest designer for the August blog posts.  Regina provided several fabulous cut files for us to use and I chose the Apple Shaped Card.

Here's my project:

This file is quick and easy but has SO MANY possibilities!! I love shaker cards and using the FUSE tool really makes them easy to assemble.  I used Jaded Blossom Stitched Circle Dies to cut the window and the frame and added Doodlebug Designs sequins to the shaker pocket (cut from a page protector and sealed with the FUSE tool.)  A little bit of doodling, Copic marker added to the stem and an organza bow and this cute little shape card is ready to send.

Thank you again, Regina, for the invitation to be one of your guest designers.  You know how much I love your files, but mostly the amazing things you create using them.

Apples and Honey

Today the Cooking with Cricut gals are creating projects that feature Apples  'n Honey in honor of Yom Kippur.  The honey and apples are symbolic of having a sweet and productive near year.

My shape card was designed using the Doodlecharms cartridge and my Gypsy.  I used the shadow image of the basket welding two together to create the card base and cutting a third to maintain the shape for the front.  I also welded a circle to the inside piece to create a base for the apples (made it so much easier to assemble.  All of the papers are from my scrap stash.

I hope you'll visit Cooking with Cricut to see more projects and to link up your own
Apples 'n Honey project.  The challenge is to include apples and/or honey or honey bees, and remember that you must include a Cricut cut.

I'm entering this project in the Cut it Up challenge.
