Clear it Out Challenge #89
The image is from Digital Delights by Louby Loo, colored with Copic markers. A Jaded Blossom sentiment, some hand cut flags and gems from my stash finished the card.

It's Simply Sunday at Getting Cricky!
and we're Celebrating! Join in the fun by creating something about which to celebrate. I made this card to celebrate my daughter's promotion. The sentiment from K Andrew Designs' Fashionable Friends set is so perfect for her because she simply adores shoes. The shoe is from the Forever Young Cartridge. It's actually a pair but I used the hide contour feature on my Gypsy. The flower and center is from Flower Shoppe.
Another sentiment from the same set will go on the inside - "You go girl!". Be sure to visit K Andrew Designs to see all the fantastic stamp sets available. Remember that many of them have a mix and match option which gives you so many sentiment choices and, $1 from every stamp set sold is donated to charity.
.
Now, join our celebration by linking up your project to the Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky. The challenge is open for two weeks.

On the Road Again
We're packing up and getting ready to head home tomorrow. It's bittersweet because we had such a wonderful Christmas with our daughters, but the travelling weather looks decent so we figured we'd better head out. I have a new Getting Cricky Simply Sunday post ready for January 1, so I hope you'll come back.
Have a wonderful New Year. Thank you for making this crafting and blogging journey so amazing. I appreciate your visits and the time you take to comment.
See you in 2012!!!

Time 4 Fun!
Good Morning! I couldn't sleep so I decided to get going with an early post and maybe even get a few chores done before it heats up.
This card is for the Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge. We were asked to incorporate the phrase "Time 4 Fun." When I was going through my cartridges, I thought the witch from A Child's Year would be perfect for the phrase and then the card would also fit the criteria for Getting Cricky's Simple Sunday Challenge which is Halloween. So here it is.
I welded the letters so they were a little wonky and then added Stickles to make them pop a little. I embossed the witch and also added stickles - trying to make her stand out on a busy background.
I've got a few more projects on the table so I'd better get crafting.
Have a wonderful day.

Summer Sun at FCCB
Good Morning and welcome to Challenge Me Monday #65 at Fantabulous Cricut.
We're celebrating Summer Sun and all you have to do to join in the fun is create something with a sun on it, include a Cricut cut, and link it up over at FCCB.
My design this week is rather monochromatic. I often stay within the same color group when I select my papers. It's not always intentional, it just works that way sometimes - hmmmmmmm?
This standard A2 card uses the shift-cut and shadow from A Child's Year (key B6). The sun - cut twice - is from Everyday Paper Dolls. The only thing I added was some rick-rack - so simple. But then a day at the beach is a simple pleasure, right?
Have a great day and please check out my Quick Tip Tuesday at FCCB tomorrow.

It's the Grillin' & Chillin" Bug Hop!
To celebrate the beginning of summer, Barb over at BugBites, is hosting two consecutive weekends of
"Bug Hops". How fun is that?
This weekend we're all about Grillin'. Each designer along the bug trail is featuring a project based on the
Grillin' and Chillin' theme.
If you've come from Kerie's blog, you're buggin right along. If you just dropped in to visit my blog and think you'd like to hop along, you can click HERE to start from the beginning.
OK, here's the exciting news - you, too, can participate by creating a project and linking it up to BugBites for a chance to win a Big Prize. But, there's a twist. Your project must include at least one Cricut cut and at least one of the critters that have been hidden within some of the bug stop blogs. Be sure to visit all the bug stops to find your critter choices. And, be sure to check out the blog candy being offered along the way.
For my Grillin' project I made my very first side step card!!
I just love this little bird with all its layers from Three Birds on Parade. I used Accent Essentials to create the frame for the sentiment. The sun is from A Child's Year and the grass from Plantin. The picnic goodies are from an embellishment pack.
Now for the blog candy. If you're kind enough to leave a comment, your name will go into a drawing to win 2 chipboard 6 x 6 album kits. Just a little thank you for stopping by. If you'd care to become a follower, that would be wonderful. Do you see how close to 200 followers I am?
Be sure to let me know how to contact you.
The winner's name will be posted on Tuesday, May 31.
Your next stop is Saundra at http://luvscrappingtogether.blogspot.com. Hop on over to see what she has for you today.
If you get lost along the way, you can return to Bug Bites for a list and the links to all the bug stops.
Remember, once you have hopped to all the bug stops, it's your turn to show us your Grillin' and Chillin' project. Make sure to include a Cricut cut and one of the hidden critters. Link up your project at
BugBites by Midnight CST May 30 to be eligible for the big prize.

It's Teacher Feature at Fantabulous Cricut
It's time for Challenge Me Monday #59 at Fantabulous Cricut.
The theme this week is Teacher Feature. School's end is just around the corner and it's time to say thank you to our hard-working teachers.
The challenge is to create something for a teacher and include a Cricut cut and the color red.
I made a candy box which holds 7 Hershey Nuggets. The box slides out of the cover. I used Cricut American Alphabet (right now an E2 exclusive) for the letters on the candy wraps and A Child's Year for the apple and it's layers. The paper is DCWV Grade School Pack.
You can join in the fun by linking your own creation to the Challenge Me Monday post at
Fantabulous Cricut.
And to all of you who are or were teachers - a HUGE thank you. You are truly appreciated.
Hugs and Happy Crafting,

Fantabulous Cricut Crawl
Woohoo! It's here! Welcome to the the fifth Fantabulous Cricut Crawl. . . Fantabulous Cricut's version of a blog hop. The Design Team members decided to have a Spring Fling. We'll each feature an original Spring project that includes Pink, Green, and Yellow, and at least one Cricut cut.
If you've come from Kate's Small Bits of Paper, you're in the right place. If you were just visiting my blog and want to join in the Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start HERE. Make sure to check each DT member's blog for some great spring inspiration. There will be PRIZES along the way (including here) and there will be a GRAND PRIZE for one participant who submits a "Spring Fling" project at FCCB. Can it get any better than that?
I created a layout for my Spring Fling project - you expected a card, huh?. I found the pink, green, yellow (and blue) bunny paper and the project just grew from there. I love it when I find that one special piece of paper that allows the creating to begin.
I used Easter 2010, A Child's Year, April Showers, Walk in My Garden, and Songbird for the cuts on this layout. The entire layout was designed on my Gypsy. The bunny, cloud, butterfly, and grass were all embossed using the Cuttlebug. I added some ribbon, inking, doodling, pop dots, and pearls using my Pearl Pen. The mats are cut for 3.5 x 5 pictures.
Now for the fun stuff - blog candy. All you have to do is leave a comment - that's it. I'll randomly select one name from all those who leave a comment, so be sure to include a way for me to contact you.
One more thing, if I get to 175 followers during the Crawl, I'll be giving a $15 gift certificate from My Sheri Crafts to one of my followers. This will be a separate drawing just for the followers. So, if you want a chance to win, please become a follower.
OKAY, now it's time for you to join in the fun. Your next stop is Lisa C. 's My Lil' Bits. If you get lost along the way, just return to FCCB. Don't forget to post your Spring Fling project at Fantabulous Cricut. Make sure to include a Cricut cut somewhere and show us some pink, green, and yellow.

Happy Birthday, Daddy
My oldest daughter, who was just named Associate Head Coach of softball at Texas Tech University, asked me to make a birthday card for her dad. He has always been her greatest fan - through her playing days and her coaching career. She wanted Tech colors, but with the "daddy / little girl" theme. I think this cut from A Child's Year is perfect. "Daddy" was cut from Heritage. I'm going to submit this card to the Birthday Sundaes "anything goes" challenge.
Don't forget to check back tomorrow for Fantabulous Cricut's Challenge Me Monday.
Have a wonderful Sunday. See you tomorrow.

Just Saying Hello
The challenge at Jitterbuggin is to create a card that brings a little sunshine to these dreary winter days. We had to include the color yellow, a cricut cut, and some stripes. I used A Child's Year for the ovals, George for the rectangles, and Cindy Loo for the layered flower and sentiment. Diamond in the Rough and Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folders were used for the embossing and VersaMagic Chalk Ink to add a little more depth.
I'll be sending this card out for one of our Card Fairy missions.
This weekend, I used my Gypsy to design 5 challenge cards. Hopefully, I'll get them all cut and assembled so that I can share them with you later in the week.

Jitterbuggin' Card Challenge
This will be a short post today (it's housework day!!!). Sherri over at Jitterbuggin' Challenge has a weekly sketch challenge. She creates the sketches herself - such talent. This week's theme is "Going Old School." We were asked to use the sketch for inspiration and include the primary colors red, yellow, and blue.
I used A Child's Year and Plantin Schoolbook for this 5 x 7 card. I pop dotted the child and the heart and added a little doodling.
