Cut it Up Challenge #245 ~ Love / Valentine

Hi Crafty Friends,

We have a new challenge for you at Cut it Up Challenges.
We're celebrating LOVE (and/or) Valentine's Day.

I used a cut file from our sponsor, The Cutting Cafe, to make this slimline card.

I love the heart cutout cover but thought it would be fun to have the hearts coming out of the clouds, so   I added two cloud die cuts from Jaded Blossom along with the love die cut sentiment.  I used the hearts that were cut out of the cover mat to decorate the inside.  This was such a quick card to make and sometimes those are the best when you want to send handmade cards but have a lot on your crafty desk.

We always appreciate the support Regina and The Cutting Cafe offer to our challenge blog.
We hope you'll play along.

Pearly Sparkles February Challenge ~ Anything Goes

Hi Crafty Friends,

Are you ready for a new Pearly Sparkles Challenge?

This month we're going with ANYTHING GOES.  We love seeing all of your amazing crafty creativeness so be sure to link up by February 27.

I have a very special friend who celebrated her 80++ birthday on January 30th.  She is an amazing woman who donated the funds for the softball field at the University of Illinois.  My daughter played on the inaugural team and went on earn her Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the U of I.  This wonderful woman has remained dear to our hearts for the past 22 years.  She is still active, lives in her own home, continues to support the university and loves her cats!

Here's her card.

The image is from The Rabbit Hole Designs.  I used dies from Whimsy, LaLa Land Crafts, and Jaded Blossom.

Cut it Up Challenge #222~ Flowers and Butterflies

Hi Crafty Friends,

Woohoo!  Spring has arrived and we're celebrating at Cut it Up with a spring challenge.
Show us your projects that have flowers and/or butterflies.

Here's my slimline card using one of the new Diamond Press die/stamp sets ordered through HSN.

I used a Gemini Jr. to cut the dies and the MISTI stamping tool to add the sentiment which I then heat embossed.  The tiny butterflies are part of Jaded Blossom's Spring 2 die set.

I hope you'll join us for this challenge.  Just add your project to the link above.

Our prize sponsor is Lawn Fawn.
