The Final Digi Desserts Fridaze

Today is a bittersweet day.  This will be my final Digi Desserts Fridaze post for
My Paper Crafting.  I have been creating the DDF posts since September.  I was so honored to be asked by Melin to coordinate the weekly post. I have such deep respect for the talented gals who shared their projects along with mine.  I looked forward each week to going to our team album to see what digi goodness I would find to share with all of you.

Even though the Design Team term is officially finished, stay tuned as some of us will STILL BE HERE, designing for Paper Crafting World, and providing you with some great crafty inspiration, ideas, tips and tutorials!
We are looking forward to a Sizzlin’ Summer of Paper Crafting!

Here's my final project.  I had these papers picked out while I was still in Texas and never got around to creating the card.  I must have been waiting on this Butterfly with Flower image to bring it all together.

I colored the butterfly with Copics.  The flower and leaves are Martha Stewart punches.  The light blue paper came embossed with the flowers.  All I did was sand it a little bit.

I would appreciate it if you would visit My Paper Crafting to take a look at the other DT cards and maybe leave the team members a little love.

And be sure to keep checking in at Paper Crafting World to see our new format for the summer.

for DAD

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Wow!  4 posts in a row after taking a frustrating break - it feels great!!!
Today is Digi Desserts Fridaze at My Paper Crafting.
Melin (owner, artist at Paper Crafting World) has an entire set of adorable characters called QT Patooties.  She's added several boys to the set and I'm sharing QT Patootie Boy in Dad's Clothes -
 so cute!

I hand cut the banner flags and added letter stickers that I've had since before getting a Cricut (does that tell you how long they've been around? LOL)

Please visit My Paper Crafting so see more PCW digis.  There are some fabulous projects created by my design team gals.

Of course, there will be a free digi for you to download and hopefully share with us by linking to the blog.

Immeasurably Loved

I've had this sweet image from Paper Crafting World for quite awhile and decided it was perfect to create this Mother's Day card for a dear friend as well as share it for my
Digi Desserts Fridaze at My Paper Crafting project.

I colored the image with Copic markers and used an atYou Spica glitter pen for the gold lettering and to highlight the measuring tape.  The flower is another from my handmade flowers collection created by Jani at Paper Compulsions.  The paper and ribbon is from my craft stash.

I hope you'll visit My Paper Crafting to see more digi goodness from the design team.  There's a new prize package for May and you can be eligible to win just by linking up to one or all all of our challenges.  Of course, there will be free files for you to download, too.

We're home from our extended visit in Texas so now it's time to unpack, get the house back to normal and then get my craft room reorganzied.

A Pedestal Card

for this week's Digi Desserts Fridaze at My Paper Crafting.

I used the Kitty image from Paper Crafting World.  The image also includes some sentiments although I used a rub-on for this project.  Since I'm still away from home, I've been using a lot of the patterned papers from the American Craft package that I brought with me.  I'm loving the bright, happy colors.  I have my Cuttlebug, too, so I can use my Spellbinders dies as well.

You still have time to join in our Link Up at Digi Desserts Fridaze.  We'll be taking entries until Midnight April 30.

So Many Candles

Yay!  It's Friday.  That means another Digi Desserts Fridaze post for My Paper Crafting.
I made this card for hubby's 70th birthday which we all celebrated together on Monday.
I thought the sentiment, which is a part of the digi file, was so perfect!!!!

I used the So Many Candles digital image from Paper Crafting World.  For this card I used the pre-colored version.  The papers and ribbon are from American Crafts.

I hope you'll visit My Paper Crafting to see more digi goodness from my digi designers and pick up your free digi download.  Remember that you have the entire month to link your own digi project to be eligible for April's prize package.

Happy Birthday

It's Digi Desserts Fridaze at My Paper Crafting.

I've used one the the Word Art digis from Paper Crafting World to complete this birthday card for my youngest daughter who is flying in from Champaign, IL to join hubs and me at our other daughter's home in Lubbock, TX.

The card and envelope are from the new Pazzles CD, Parties.  I think the Happy Birthday Word Art image is the perfect way to complete the card.  This image comes pre-colored or line art.  I used the line art so that I could keep the pink and black theme using Copic markers and atYou Spica glitter pens.

Be sure to visit My Paper Crafting to see more digi creations and to read about our new prize guidelines for our Link Ups and Challenges.  The main change is that you'll have the entire month to link your projects to any of our Link Ups and Challenges with a super prize being awarded at the end of the month along with Top Choices and Guest Designer invitations.
You'll still be able to pick up free cut files, vintage graphics, and digis every week.

A Vintage Graphic

For my Digi Desserts Fridaze post, I chose to use a Vintage Graphic from
Paper Crafting World.
When you need a quick card, these graphics make it so easy.  Just pick some great paper and a simple layout and you're good to go.  The beauty of these images is that Melin offers them in different tones along with the original color.

I used the sepia image as I thought it worked perfectly with the DCWV papers from the Mariposa stack.  I added crinkle ribbon (dyed it myself using Distress Stain) and Scrapper's floss.
Here's a link to the Vintage Pink Flowers digital graphic.

Why don't you join our Link up at My Paper Crafting.  You can use ANY digital image.  We'd love to see your project.  Just click on the DDF tab on the home page.
There is a free digi for you to download as well.

Wishing each of you a Happy Easter.

This little bunny is showering each of you with lots of love!
I've chosen this image from Paper Crafting World for my Digi Desserts Fridaze post.

The double bow is from crinkle ribbon that I died myself.  The papers are from Creative Imaginations.  I colored with Copic Markers.
You can find this image HERE.

Digi Desserts Fridaze

So glad you're here for Digi Desserts Fridaze at My Paper Crafting.

I'm really excited about this card.  The image is simple but I think it turned out really pretty.
It's Single Rose from Paper Crafting World
The image also comes with an "I Love You" sentiment.

The patterned paper is Authentique.  The rose was handmade by Jani of Paper Compulsions.
I had the lace in my stash and the flourish is a Die-namics die.

You're So Tweet!

For my Digi Desserts Fridaze project I'm using the FREE image.  That means you can head over to My Paper Crafting and pick up one for yourself!!  Woohoo!

I used Copic markers to color the birdie using the "coloring folds" technique for the feathers on his wing and tail.  I made the crinkle ribbon using Tim Holtz Distress Stain and Hug Snug seam binding.

I would love to see your digi image project linked up to our DDF post at My Paper Crafting.  You could be selected to receive a free digi image from Paper Crafting World.  And, if you use a PCW image (including any of the freebies), you may be chosen to be our next Guest Designer.
What are you waiting for??

I'm linking this card to Tuesday Throwdown's "you're on my mind" challenge.

A New Technique

Good Morning and welcome to my post for Digi Desserts Fridaze at My Paper Crafting.

For today's project, I wanted to try something new.  I love using Glitter Ritz ultrafine glitter with Elizabeth's Craft Designs stickers.  Copic markers work really nicely on the glitter to give the appearance of stained glass.  Well, I wondered if it was possible to print a digital image onto the glitter and then use Copics.  Melin has this wonderful Butterfly n Mother Sentiments digital printable image so I decided to try it.

This is the final result!

I started by adding Elizabeth Craft Designs glitter to a double sided adhesive strip
that had been placed on cardstock and then burnished with my finger.  That paper was run through the printer printing two of the digis.  Because of burnishing, there was little glitter "fallout".

Then, I added one image to the card base and colored and cut out the other to add dimension to the card.  NOTE:  you can't overblend with the Copics as the alcohol in the ink can dissolve the adhesive.

As you can see, the printed image isn't as dark as on plain paper, but I think the effect is rather unique and given a wide-lined image, I would certainly try this again.

Hop on over to MPC to see more digi goodness from my design team partners and meet this week's guest designer, Suze Woods.  While you're there you can pick up this adorable FREE image.  Then you can link up for a chance to win your own FREE image of choice from Paper Crafting World and maybe even be selected as our next guest designer.

A Pocket Full of Love

It's Digi Desserts Fridaze at My Paper Crafting.  I hope you'll visit the MPC blog to meet our very first DDF Guest Designer, Raquel Panos.  She's sharing her digi creation along with the other DDF design team members.

I recently received a delightful package of goodies from my fellow DT member, Lynn Boyles who was celebrating her 100th follower.  I was lucky enough to be selected to receive a prize.  The package included the papers and embellishments that I used on this card.   I chose the
Pocket Full of Love digi from Paper Crafting World, since I though it was perfect for the color scheme.

The only other things I added were the pearl centers and a bit of Crafter's Floss.

You know that you can link to our DDF post using any digi project.  IF you use a digi from Paper Crafting World, you'll receive two entries towards the free image drawing as well as being eligible for our Guest Designer spot.  So come on and play along.  At least stop by and pick up your FREE digi image - there's a new one available every week.

Today is the final day to leave a comment on my Facebook page THANK YOU post for a chance to win Copic markers and some other crafty goodies.  Thank you for helping me surpass 100 LIKES on my Facebook Handmade From the Heart page.  Just click the FB badge link on the sidebar to get to the post and leave your comment.
