It's Almost Here!

Well, I'm in the home stretch - how about you?  The decorating is done, the cards are mailed, the gifts are wrapped.  I think all that's left is the grocery list!  Whew - it takes so much time to get it all done and then, poof, it's over!  Awww, but I love every minute of it.

I love sending handmade cards but my stash of Copic colored cards ran out so I my Cameo came to the rescue.  Here are cards I made using files from Silhouette and Pazzles (I love that we can get Pazzles files in SVG format now).
For this one I just used the offset feature to create the shadow mat and then colored with Copics.

I think embossing the craft paper gave it a little more finish.

Sometimes clean and simple is the way to go.

And for my friends having fun with their Elves on the Shelf, I thought this was perfect.

Finally, my daughter found some wonderful candy canes in which part of the purchase price goes to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.  I decided to use the Christmas Moose from the Holiday set 1 at  SVGCuttingFiles.com to dress up the candy cane.  The sentiment is the Merry Chris Moose clip art file from Digi My World.  The Cameo sure made this an easy peasy project.
I also plan on using the Penguins and Gingerbread man that are included in the set.

Thanks for stopping in.  I'm sure you're super busy and I appreciate that you took the time to visit.

My design teams are on break until the first week in January.  Then I'll be back with posts for Delightful Challenges and Digi My World.  Paper Crafting World is taking a little longer break but we are planning a fun blog hop on January 25 which will reunite some of our past team members.

And, on January 4 a brand new challenge blog will debut.  I'll be designing for Open-Minded Crafting Fun.  We'll be featuring digital images from lots of different artists (4 different ones each post) - many you are familiar with and some that are quite new.  I hope you'll join me for our debut challenge.  The blog is up now featuring each of our sponsors and introducing the design team.

Until later, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Here's the same file using a little less formal paper.
This paper is from the DCWV Christmas Combo Stack.

The Stockings Were Hung

Hello Crafty Friends,
How are you doing with your countdown 'til Christmas?   Just when I think I'm catching up, I find a few more things I want to do around the house or in the craft room.  But, I love this time of year and doing holiday projects makes me happy.

For my design team project at Paper Crafting World,  I'm sharing a card I made using the PCW image Stockings Hung by the Chimney.

I think this image has a primitive feel to it so I didn't do a lot of blending and kept the Copic coloring slightly muted.  The papers are from my stash, not sure of the paper company, but I know it's been one of my favorites - love that little pop of purple in the pattern.  I added Frosted Lace Stickles to the stocking tops and Glossy Accents to the hangers.  Finally, a little inking with Distressed Ink gave a some "age" to the paper.

Have you visited Paper Crafting World lately?  Melin has added quite a few new digi stamps to help you with your holiday projects.  I know I still have several cards to get made this week and new digis always inspire me.

And don't forget My Paper Crafting's 25 Days of Christmas & Year Round Crafting.  Melin is sharing some fantastic projects and offering free files along the way.

So glad you stopped in today!

Cardinal and Holly

Good Morning Friends,
I hope your December is off to a wonderful start.  It's a busy time but I love every minute of it.  The house is decorated but I still have cards to make and a few last minute gifts.  Today's PCW Design Team project is another that I'll add to my Christmas card inventory.  I've used the Cardinal on Branch digital stamp from Paper Crafting World.

All of the supplies used on this card are from my stash.  I colored the image with Copic markers and then added a marbleized background using B0000, B000, G000 and the blender pen.  I'm taking an online class from Marie Gamber at Color Me Creative.  It's all background techniques and this is the first in the series.  I love the way adding a background brings even more attention to the focal image.

Our PCW leader, Melin is one again presenting her 25 Days of Christmas and Year Round Crafting.
She's sharing some amazing projects along with freebies throughout the event.  Be sure to visit her at

I'd like to enter this card in the Scrapping Everyday Miracles Christmas challenge.
