Always Fun Challenge #69 ~ Anything But a Card

Hi Crafty Friends,

We're asking for Anything But a Card on this week's Always Fun Challenge.

As I shared on another post, I'm using my challenge opportunities to create things for my duaghter's wedding.  For this challenge I made a gift box which will hold one of her bridesmaid gifts.

I used the Scalloped Caddy die from Jaded Blossom.  The flower is a die from CAS-ual Fridays with the leaves using a Martha Stewart punch (an old standby!)  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's She Said Yes stamp set.

I'll be attending a 3-day group to make even more of these cute little boxes.

Aloha Friday Challenge for Kitty Bee Designs

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's time for the mid-inspiration reminder that the Aloha Friday Challenge for Kitty Bee Designs is still open so there's plenty of time for you to share your project.

I made my card using Jennifer from one of our sponsors, LeeAnn's World 101.

I colored using Copic markers and created the shape card using Jaded Blossom's new Octagon Stitched dies - love them!
Follow the link above to join in our challenge.  The theme is Anything Goes with the option of Friendly Faces.

Cut it Up Challenge #153 ~ Christmas in July

Hi Crafty Friends,

We've gotten aboard the Christmas in July train over at Cut it Up Challenges.

Our sponsor, My Scrap Chick, provided our files.  I hope you'll visit the store ~ you'll find lots of crafty goodness.

I chose a very simple cut file for this Christmas card.  I wanted something that I could easily make multiples and only change the background paper.  The wreath cut beautifully on my Silhouette.

What a great way to use your scrap stash and get some holiday cards completed ahead of time!

I hope you'll join us for this challenge.  Be sure to follow the theme and include a die cut.

Kitty Bee Design Team Spotlight

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's my turn for the Kitty Bee Designs DT Spotlight.

For this month's spotlight project I've used one of the adorable Emilee Elephant images.
You'll find them HERE.

This month I've been creating projects using my daughter's wedding colors so that she can use these designs for her thank you notes, favors, etc. For this simple design I've also used Copic markers, LLLC stitched banner die, Jaded Blossom stitched oval die, and a Darice chevron embossing folder.
After printing the image, I cut it out using my Scan N Cut2.

There is a different Spotlight project featured every day on the Kitty Bee Designs blog.  I hope you'll take a look.

Always Fun Challenge #68 ~ Color Inspiration

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today we have a Color Inspiration challenge at Always Fun.
Lucky for me, the inspiration colors just happen to be some of my favorites and also some of the accent colors in my daughter's upcoming wedding.

I've used the Altenew Halftone Thanks stamp and die set.  The mats are from Jaded Blossom's newest Octagon Die set.  I popped each layer up a little for more dimension and used my Gemini Jr. for the die cuts.

Here's the color inspiration photo.
No automatic alt text available.

I hope you'll join our challenge.  Just follow the link above.

Die Cuttin Divas ~ Guest Designer

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I have the privilege of Guest Designing for the Die Cuttin Divas.
The theme for this week is (my favorite!) LOTS of LAYERS!!

I had so much fun designing this card using the LaLa Land Crafts May Club kit along with other LLLC dies.  Isn't Gnome Marci a sweetie?  She's colored with Copic markers but her dress was paper pieced first using one of the patterned papers from the Authentique set, Cheerful.

I selected a lot of dies and started cutting then, after playing around with the patterned papers, I started layering.  I love the way it turned out.  I cut the mushroom house out of Copic friendly card stock and colored it just like I added Copic marker to Marci's dress after paper piecing.

Thank you so much, Georgiana, for allowing me to be a guest designer for this fun challenge.

You can join in the fun by following the link above and also checking out the Die Cuttin' Divas on Facebook.

Always Fun Challenge # 67 ~ Paper Piecing

Hi Crafty Friends,

Always Fun Challenge #67 is paper piecing.

I just received some fabulous new Jaded Blossom dies and I wanted to use them to create this masculine card.

The die set is Diamonds and I used the three smallest for this card.  I just went to my patterned paper scrap box and selected all different papers to cut and then arrange in an interesting pattern.
The stamp is from Jaded Blossom's So Many Birthdays 3.
This is a great way to use scraps and add to my masculine card stash.

Just follow the link above to play along with this week's challenge.

The Merry Christmas Challenge #27

Hi Crafty Friends,
Here's my project for The Merry Christmas Challenge this month.  From now through December our challenges will be posted on the 15th of each month and will be open until the 14th of the next month.  Hopefully you've been keeping up with your holiday card making so this reduction of challenges will give you more crafty time because YOU'RE AHEAD with your Christmas cards, right?  LOL.  The remainder of my designs will be those with which I can make easily make multiples so I'll have plenty come mail time.
I used one of Authentique's paper lines from last year to create this card.
The tree is washi tape wrapped around a triangle.  I added some Recollections sparkly dots to mimic the tree lights in the patterned paper.  This was a quick and easy card to design and assemble.
Just follow the link above and show us how you're doing with your Christmas cards.

Cut it Up Challenge #152 ~ Under the Sea

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to our Cut it Up Challenges Under the Sea theme.

Our sponsor is The Cutting Cafe.  Regina has such wonderful and is always so generous to our team.
For this challenge, I took her Under the Sea PDF file, imported it into Silhouette studio and converted to a vector (svg) file.  I think this is the first time I've tried doing this.  After playing around with some of the file images I decided on three to use.  Since I wanted to color them with Copics and didn't want to use the print and cut option, I just sent them to the printer, colored them and cut them out with my Scan N Cut2.  Probably the long way round but it worked for me LOL.

I embellished with die cuts from LaLa Land Crafts and added a sentiment for Jaded Blossom's Make Waves stamp set.

I hope you'll join us for this fun challenge.  Follow the Cut it Up link above.

My Besties International Challenge for July ~ Under the Sea

Hi Crafty Friends,
Our OPTIONAL theme for July is Under the Sea.
I hope you'll join in the fun at My Besties International Challenge.
I've used this sweet Bestie Mermaid for my project.
You'll find her HERE.
I'm in love with these Authentique papers which made a great template for my Copic color choices.
I embellished the card using lots of Lala Land Crafts dies:  Under the Sea, Build a Frame, Wave flurry, and Shell Border.
Remember that you may use ANY stamp by any artist.  Winners are selected from both DT members and non DT members.
Just follow the link above to join in our challenge.
