Merry Christmas!

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.
Thank you for being such amazing followers always offering encouragement and support.  This is a fabulous crafting community and I'm so thrilled to be a part of it.  I always appreciate your visits and comments.  I hope you and your families have a lovely day and will find good things waiting for you in the new year.
Here's one on my reasons to celebrate:

My daughters, Aly and Janna, getting ready to board the Christmas Train.

Always ready to get into the spirit of things, they wore their matching "onesies."

Happy Holidays!

The Sounds of Christmas

Hello and Merry Christmas!
Today is Day 21 of the 25 Days of Crafting at My Paper Crafting.  We're featuring Sounds of the Holidays projects.  I created this card using the FREE vintage graphic.  You can download yours by visiting My Paper Crafting.

I'll tell you, having some vintage graphics on hand sure makes creating cards quick and easy.  I love, love, love this Authentique paper.  My LSS started carrying it and I just can't say no to any of the patterns they get in.  The sentiment is computer generated and all I did to add a little sparkle was use Gelly Roll glitter pens on the image.

I hope you've been enjoying the 25 Days of Crafting.  The designers have shared an amazing variety of projects - just so much inspiration.  Don't forget that there will be posts through Christmas Day.  And you really must take a moment to see the Day 25 projects - they truly reflect the reason for the season.

This will probably be my last post before Christmas.  Our daughters are enroute as I type (driving from Lubbock, Texas).  They'll be here tomorrow evening and we can't wait!  Lots of family time planned once they arrive, and my craft room has reverted back to a bedroom until after Christmas (but it's worth it!)

My wish for each of you is that you have a lovely Christmas.  May you find hope and peace at this special time.
Merry Christmas, my friends.

Kick Back and Relax

With all the hustle and bustle of holiday preparations I think we all forget to take a few minutes to just breathe.  So, for the Delightful Challenges "Anything Goes" challenge I decided to move away from holiday projects and just create a little reminder to take my own advice.

I used one of the cute donkey images from the Donkeying Around Set which was created by Wendy and can be found at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  I colored her with Copics and created the card with My Mind's Eye papers which I had in my stash.

There is a variety of  delightful projects being shared by the Delightful Challenges designers.  I'd love for you to take a look and then link up your own Anything Goes project for a chance to win a
$10 gift certificate to our own

Quick Gift Bag

It's Day 19 of the 25 Days of Crafting at My Paper Crafting. Today we're sharing projects that represent gifts and/or presents.  I made a quick and easy gift bag for today's post featuring the FREE digital stamp image.  The bag is made using an 8.5 x 11" piece of paper (I used a light weight card stock), two holes punched through the bag and flap, and a piece of ribbon to tie it closed - easy peasy.

Give Thanks

Hey, wasn't this the prevailing theme for last month's projects?  Well, if you've been following My Paper Crafting's 25 Days of Crafting you know that we've been sharing projects and calendar pages for the entire year.  Our theme for Day 18 is "Give Thanks."

I used my Cricut Thanksgiving cartridge to create these place cards and and napkin wraps for a Thanksgiving table.

The placecard on the left shows the backside.

I hope you'll visit My Paper Crafting to see even more November projects, leave a little bloggie "thanks" and follow the links to today's free cutting file, digital stamps, and vintage graphic.

Gorgeous Vintage Graphic

Hello Crafty Friends,
I hope you had a delightful weekend and got in lots of crafting time.  I've been trying to clean my craftroom in order to make space for our daughters arriving for Christmas.  How easy it is to take over an entire room front to back, top to bottom, with crafty goodies.  Now I have to figure out where to stash it all to make room - this may take a few days!!!  But, it's a great reason to get it cleaned, right?  We're so excited to have them coming home.
Today is Day 17 of the 25 Days of Crafting presented by the designers at My Paper Crafting.  Melin has provided free vintage graphic downloads throughout this event and my card is made with today's FREE vintage graphic.  To download your own, just visit My Paper Crafting.  You'll see some wonderful projects following the theme "Trees, Tinsel, and/or Traditions".

I'll see you tomorrow with another 25 Days project.

Back to School? and a tutorial, too.

It's Day 14 of our 25 Days of Crafting.  Wow! two weeks of fabulous crafting ideas already!

Remember that the My Paper Crafting designers are sharing projects for the holidays and events and celebrations throughout the year.  Today we're featuring September projects.  I used today's FREE digital stamp to make a hand sanitizer holder which could be used as a Back-to-School gift and I also created a card using the FREE vintage graphic. You'll also find a quick tutorial on how to make the hand sanitizer holder at the end of the post.

If you visit My Paper Crafting you'll see even more September projects as well as the links to the FREE downloads which include the digi and graphic I used here along with a FREE Cutting file.

I read the directions for making the Hand Sanitizer holder at Paper Desserts.
I did adjust the measurements to better fit the Bath and Body Works product I used.

Here are the two sizes of paper and where you need to score.  The 6x2 is scored on the long side in 4 places and then turned and scored at 1/4 inch in from each side (difficult to see)

The x's indicate the sections to be cut off.  The center was punched with a 1inch punch and then I moved it 1/4 inch to the right and punched again.  This opening will depend on the size bottle you use.  I used Bath and Body Works Sanitizer mini. You might need to use an oval punch.

Fold and crease all the scored lines.

Ahere the two sections.
I used one-sided patterend paper (DCWV School Stack) for my holder (see above).  I also adhered Baker's Twine to the back and brought it around and tied it to keep the box closed.  You could use velcro instead.

I'm going to make a few more for stocking stuffers using Christmas paper.

Very Blingy

Well I must say that I've been posting all different styles these past few days.  Yesterday was vintage and today our challenge at Delightful Challenges is to bring on the BLING!  I'm talking glitter, sparkle and shine (oh my).

My image is the adorable Ornament Pippin.  Pippin is one of Wendy's reoccuring characters and can be found at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

I had more of this sparkly blue and glitter paper so I used it for the patterned mat.  The silver mat is Recollections Metallic pack.  The sparkly mesh is something I picked up at Scrapbook Expo this year and the ribbon is from JoAnn's.  My Stickles also got a workout on this project.  I used silver Stickles over the band that I colored with Signo Silver.  Pippin's hat is Stardust Stickles and also the snowflakes on the ornament.

For more Blingy, sparkly, shiny creations visit Delightful Challenges and while you're there link up your own project for a chance to win a gift certificate from this week's sponsor

One of the freebies today is this vintage Santa image.  Melin is providing you several copies, an original and some color variations.  I used the olive wash image to go along with the distressed style I chose for this card.
I love this paper stack from Recollections called Traditional Holiday.  The sentiment is from a dimensional sticker set by K&Company.

You can have this image by visiting My Paper Crafting and clicking on the download buttons.

Christmas Bunny

This adorable image is from this week's Tuesday Throwdown sponsor "Stamp Fairy."  Isn't she sweet?  Her name is Clementine.
Our challenge is to use wrapping paper rather than patterned paper so that's what I used for my patterned mat.  This is my final post for Tuesday Throwdown.  I'm cutting down on my number of design teams so I'll have a chance to join in more challenges just for fun!  If you're interested in joining the Tuesday Throwdown design team, just enter our challenge and put DT after your name in order to be considered.  It's a great group of gals and the sponsors offer wonderful images to use for the challenges.  I hope you'll consider applying.

Chimney Santa

Hello Crafty Friends!
It's my turn to present Hostess Monday on the Digital Delights by Louby Loo blog.
I made two quick and easy projects using SVG Delightful Cuts.  I'm so excited that I can now use cut files along with my digi stamps and Cricut cartridges.  I love having the Pazzles Inspiration cutter as part of my crafting tools.

This first project uses the Christmas Cracker cut file.  It was so easy to cut and  gather at the ends.  I've tried a few other cracker box files and just couldn't get the ends to work.  This one was easy peasy.  The papers are digital papers from the Mistletoe Paper Pack.

Next I used the Elf Boot Card cut file.  Again, this project went together so easily.  I used more of the Mistletoe Paper Pack  and a sentiment from the Touch of Christmas set.

Finally, Wendy asked me to create something using one of her newest digital image sets,
Chimney Santa Set.  This image and sentiment just make me smile - I think they're so clever.  I wanted to make a pedestal card so it looked like Santa was on a roof.  I drew shingles on the brown kraft paper and added Frosted Lace Stickles so it looked like snow on the roof.  Isn't this sentiment just the best?  Ha-ha, I giggle everytime I read it.

Links to each of the cut files and digis I used for these projects can be found HERE.

I'll be back Tuesday with my final post for Tuesday Throwdown so I hope you'll come back to visit.

Warm Winter Wishes

Time to share Digital Delights by Louby Loo's December images.  This month they're
All About Christmas.
I had the pleasure of coloring Baby Snow - such a cute, cute image.  You will definitely want to visit Delightful Challenges to see all of the new Christmas images and then join in our Christmas fun.

I loved the unique color of this Bo Bunny patterned paper so I chose a deep teal for the card base and snowflakes.  The large snowflakes were punched with the large Marvy snowflake punch and smaller flakes are Martha Stewart punches.  Baby Snow is colored with Copics while his snowflakes sparkle with microfine glitter.  The sentiment was this week's freebie at Digital Delights.

I hope you'll join in this week's challenge for a chance to win a gift certificate from this week's sponsor

Vintage Teapot

Hello and welcome to Day 5 of the 25 Days of Christmas and Year Round Crafting event.
The theme for today is gingerbread and holiday baking.  And what goes better with baked goods than a delightful pot of tea?  I hope you've been visiting My Paper Crafting.  The designers are sharing so many fabulous projects - Cricut, cutfiles, digital stamps, calendars, and so much more.  And don't forget there are free images and files being offered each day.

One of today's free images is this delightful vintage teapot.  I used papers from the DCWV Chateau Lavendar stack.  I love the soft patterns and colors available in this set.  I had the lace and lace bow in my stash.  The die cuts are both Spellbinders- lacy ovals and large scalloped circles.

You can pick up this free vintage print by visitng My Paper Crafting and clicking the download link.

I think you'll love the projects being shared everyday at MPC.  It's been a fabulous event so far!

Greetings!

Happy Monday!  I'm hoping to see the sunshine today.  It's been wet and dreary here in Northern California since last Friday.  I must say, though, it's been good for getting things done inside the house and the craftroom!!

I made today's card using an adorable image from SKdigis.  The sentiment is one from one of the sets by K Andrew Designs.  Even though Kristal has put all of her stamp sets on sale, the designers are still posting every weekday at Getting Cricky so be sure to visit.  Also, although Sonia isn't hosting weekly challenges right now, she is still inviting everyone who uses her digital images to link up projects under the "link up" tab at SKdigis.

The patterned paper is from American Crafts and all of the shapes were cut from various Spellbinders dies.  The penguin was colored with Copic markers.
