Greetings!

Happy Monday!  I'm hoping to see the sunshine today.  It's been wet and dreary here in Northern California since last Friday.  I must say, though, it's been good for getting things done inside the house and the craftroom!!

I made today's card using an adorable image from SKdigis.  The sentiment is one from one of the sets by K Andrew Designs.  Even though Kristal has put all of her stamp sets on sale, the designers are still posting every weekday at Getting Cricky so be sure to visit.  Also, although Sonia isn't hosting weekly challenges right now, she is still inviting everyone who uses her digital images to link up projects under the "link up" tab at SKdigis.

The patterned paper is from American Crafts and all of the shapes were cut from various Spellbinders dies.  The penguin was colored with Copic markers.

REMINDER: just click the image to visit

Fabulous Flowers

Good Morning, Crafty Friends
Are you adjusting to the time change?  I love feeling like I have more time during the day but it sure gets dark early making it difficult to stay awake at night - oh well.

Today I'm posting at Getting Cricky.  Although Kristal is clearing out her present inventory at K Andrew Designs, she's not closing the store.  She's just slowing down so she can dedicate more time to her job and boys.  The Getting Cricky blog will also remain active with a design team member posting every weekday.  So, don't remove us from your blog list because we still have lots of ideas to share.

The cards I'm sharing today have some really special embellishments.  The two cards that I shared on the Link Up For Pink were each drawn for a prize - Woohoo!  One of my prizes came from Jani at Paper Compulsions.  I was able to select some super files and then she sent me a box full of her amazing handmade flowers.  They are stunning - many with pearls, gems, and beads and in all my favorite colors!!  Please visit her blog for some amazing projects and tutorials.

I used the "Food for Thought" stamp set and Jani's gorgeous rose.

This sentiment is from the "Amazing You" set.  I love the color of these flowers.

I hope you'll continue to visit Getting Cricky and also stop by Paper Compulsions and leave a little love for Jani.

Bosom Buddies

I'm so glad you're visiting today.  It's a special day because I'm sharing my first Getting Cricky design since being invited back to the design team.

I love using K Andrew Design Art Stamps.  I always find a perfect sentiment to go with whatever type of card I'm designing.  This week I wanted to make some cards to support Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Sonia, of SKdigis, has created a fabulous Breast Cancer Awareness Kit.  I couldn't resist these two images because Kristal's Fashionable Friends set has the perfect sentiments,
So, what do you think?

 inside.

I think the digis and the sentiments work so well together.  I loved creating these cards.

You can find the Fashionable Friends stamp set HERE.
You can find the SKdigis Breast Cancer Awareness Set (6 pages of images including the two above)  HERE

I'll be entering the Cut it Up Think Pink Challenge #3, Link Up for Pink,
and sharing on the SKdigis Breast Cancer Awareness Challenge/Contest.

Love My E2 and a Sneak Peek

I know some gals are complaining about their Cricut Expression 2, but I must say that I've fallen in love with mine.  I was asked to teach an E2 class at my local scrapbook store and in preparing for the class I really learned a lot about the E2's features.  Being able to use multiple cartridges and sizes on one screen/mat is amazing.  Being able to see where your cuts are going to be placed - woohoo!
Anyway, I designed two projects for my gals to cut during class.  I tried to build in as many features of the E2 as possible when I created these.  I did not embellish, ink, doodle, or add anything (except ribbon) because the purpose was to do everything with the E2.  I'm sure when they took the projects home, they applied their own special touches.

Our first project was this card where we used the fit to length feature and learned to move the images on the mat to that we could cut 4 different colors at the same time.

On this page layout, we used fit to length, the reverse/flip button, and cutting different sizes during the same cut.

I had two gals come into class saying they hated their machines.  They left with a much better appreciation of all that the E2 can do and I think they'll be a lot happier when using their machines at home.
Mission Accomplished!

Monday will be my debut for the Getting Cricky design team which I've recently been asked to rejoin.  I hope you stop by and see what I'm sharing.
Here's a sneak peek

Thanks for Noticing Me

If you're looking for my Cooking with Cricut Blogaversary post for Day 3 click HERE.

It's a Disney theme for the Simply Sunday challenge at Getting Cricky.  Amy (Luv to Crop) made the most adorable mini cards using some stickers she had in her stash.  I've been stockpiling Disney stickers as well so I decided to turn loose of at least one.
I think this sentiment from the K Andrew Designs Of Mice and Lil Men set is just perfect for Eeyore. And, I'm trying to use my Nestabilities more especially since seeing the fantastic creations by Lisa (A Mermaid's Crafts).  I didn't do anything fancy, but at least I got some out of their binder LOL!

Here is the entire stamp set, which can be purchased HERE.

Thanks for stopping by.

Show Your Style

Welcome to Getting Cricky's "Show Your Style" Blog Hop.

I'm so excited to be the Guest Designer for this month's  Hop.

If you've arrived from Kristal's blog  then you are on your way.
As you hop along this weekend, you'll get to know the designers a little better as they share their crafting preferences and personal styles.
Kristal's stamps are among  my favorite cardmaking tools.  Although I enjoy making altered projects and scrapbook pages, cardmaking has become my papercrafting passion.  I love to add lots of mats and paper layers to my projects, but I have a rather clean and simple style.  My favorite embellishments include ribbon and Stickles and Chalk Inks.

This card truly represents my personal style: paper layering, ribbon, and inking.  Instead of Stickles on this project, I chose to heat emboss the flower and sentiment images - it adds just the right shine!
The sentiment is from the K Andrew Designs' Coffee and Tea Treats Tag Along set.
Here's the  stamp set:
It's the companion set for these two sets:

You can purchase all of Kristal's stamp sets  HERE.  Remember that $1 from every stamp set sold is donated to charity.  And, you just can't beat the quality of these stamps.

Time for your next stop which is the very talented Lisa's wonderful "A Mermaid's Crafts" blog.
If you get lost along the way you can always start over  HERE.

I hope you enjoy getting to know the talented gals that design for Getting Cricky.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn

This was the perfect theme for me since Copic Markers Scrapbooking will be releasing a new set of images tonight.  You get a sneak preview since I used one of the new images on this card.

I used KAndrew Designs'  "Pirate Tales and Fish Scales" sentiment set.

You can purchase this stamp set HERE

"Getting Cricky With It"

Welcome the “Getting Cricky With It” Surprise Blog Hop for Kristal!!!

Today the Design Team is bringing you some very special projects created for our wonderful and amazing leader, Kristal! The current design team term is almost over and we wanted to show her just how much we appreciate ALL that she has done for us. The projects that we will be sharing with you will also be sent to Kristal. We encourage ALL of her fans to join in on the fun as well! Be sure to add your card/project to the link below and then be sure to mail it off to her!

If you're coming from Letillia's Blog then you are in the right place!! If you are just joining me from your dashboard, or reading this via email, please be sure to CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Kristal's blog.

Something special about K Andrew Designs is that each of Kristal's stamp sets benefit charity. At least $1 per stamp set goes to benefit the charity noted on the stamp set package. Kristal is donating to the following charities: Cancer Angels, Storefront Shelter for Homeless Children, Intrepid & Fallen Heroes, E. Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Doorways Shelter for Women & Children (Domestic Violence), Wayside House for Women, Camp Good Days & Special Times, Adopt a Classroom, and Autism Research Institute. Kristal will donate $1 for every stamp set sold, retail or wholesale to the charity noted; and over time believes this will add up to some wonderful miracles for these special people. So you can feel good that each time you purchase a K Andrew Designs art stamp set, someone around the country is receiving some good help! K Andrew's stamps are all made and assembled here in the USA, which is very important to Kristal. This ensures all product materials are safe and that jobs are being provided and maintained here in America. You can learn even more about Kristal's stamps (and pick some up for yourself) by visiting her online store: K Andrew Designs.

I created a simple but sincere card for Kristal using her "Amazing You" stamp set.

Sometimes just a great piece of patterned paper, a mat, ribbon and a little bling is all that is needed to share a piece of your heart with someone.

Your next stop is Anita's Blog.

And don't forget that you can also share your appreciation of Kristal's work by linking up your project below.  And if you'd like to mail your project, Kristal's address can be found under the "Contact" tab HERE.

Thanks for joining our surprise blog hop for Kristal.

Getting Cricky Cabin Fever Blog Hop

Welcome to the "Cabin Fever" Getting Cricky Blog Hop!!

I'm so happy you could join us for this month's Getting Cricky Design Team Blog Hop!!  We have another SPECIAL hop for you this month.  All week long, the Design Team has been featuring many of Kristal's stamp sets as well as an array of Cricut Cartridges, SVG cuts, and more in anticipation of the hop.  I chose to feature the Paisley cartridge everyday this week.  If you didn't get to see the projects, please scroll down.  It was so much fun revisiting a cartridge that I haven't used for awhile.  I found some delightful images and the perfect K Andrew Designs stamp sentiments to go with them.

For our blog hop theme, we thought it would be fun to create projects for kids who might be suffering a little "Cabin Fever" as the weather transitions from winter to spring.  I'm sure as you hop along you'll gather lots of fun and kid-oriented ideas.

If you're arriving from Jo's blog, Jo Boogie Stamping, you're in the right place.  If you just dropped in to check my post or arrived from your dashboard,  please be sure to CLICK HERE to start at the beginning with Kristal's blog (you'll want to catch up on all the FUN!!)...

I want to remind you that each of Kristal's stamp sets benefit charity.

You can learn even more about Kristal's stamps (and pick some up for yourself) by visiting her online store: K Andrew Designs:

Today's Blog Hop project features the All About Animals and Summertime Splash sets.

For my "Cabin Fever" project I decided to make a Coloring Book. It could be a Get Well activity or just something fun to do for a kiddo who's tired of winter and looking forward to spring.  I chose these cool sunglasses from the Paisley cartridge for the cover. The images on the coloring pages inside are digital stamps from Paper Crafting World. You can find these adorable images and many more HERE. I think Kristal's sentiments add a little fun to each page.  I ran the digi's on good quality paper so that if a child uses markers, the colors won't bleed through.

So, how about some BLOG CANDY?
I'm so close to 300 followers that I have decided to offer this Cricut Cartridge if I can reach 300.

If the magic 300 is reached during this hop, anyone who leaves a comment will be eligible to win.  I will use Random.org to select one winner whose name will be announced on
Monday, February 20.   You'll have until Sunday 6:00 p.m. PST to leave a comment and become a follower if you wish.  Remember, I must reach 300 followers in order to give away the cartridge.  If you're already a follower, maybe you can convince one of your bloggie friends to join.

Your next stop is the talented Jana's blog, Raining Grace.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,

Today is the final day for our Getting Cricky Design Team Blog Hop PRE-HOP.  All week I have shared cards using the Paisley cartridge and different stamps by K Andrew Designs.
For this final project I combined stamps from the Winged Things set to get my sentiment.

Our Cabin Fever Blog Hop begins tomorrow night at 6:00 PST.  The participating design team members will be sharing projects for kids.  We tried to think of things to entertain kiddos that may have been stuck indoors and are looking for something to do while waiting for spring to arrive.
I'll be offering a special Blog Candy so be sure to stop by.

If you'd like to see all of the Pre Hop projects and link up your own, just read the info below and then followe the links.

Miss-shoe. . .

It's Wednesday and time for the Cooking with Cricut challenge.
Charlotte and I are your hostesses for this week's challenge and we've decided on a "sketch + pick 3" challenge.  My card is a literal interpretation of the sketch.  We also provided the following list of embellishments for you to pick any 3:  ribbon, eyelets or brads, ink or chalk, border punch, glitter or Stickles, and flowers.  And don't forget your Cricut cut.  Sound like fun?  I hope you'll play along with Charlotte, me, and the other designers.  You can see the design team's projects and then link your own design to Paper Crafting World's Cooking with Cricut blog HERE.

As you can see, I chose flowers, Stickles, and eyelets for my "pick 3" embellishments.  I used the Paisley cartridge (my Getting Cricky Pre-Hop daily featured cartridge) and a K Andrew Designs stamp from the Fashionable Friends set.

Can't wait to see what you design using the sketch and "pick 3" choices.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn

If you're playing along with the Getting Cricky designers this week, here's the information you need to see the other designer's projects and also link up your own.

Funny Puns

It's Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut and this week we're challenging you to create something that incorporates a funny pun, either in the design or the sentiment.

For my design team project I used the Paisley cartridge for the turtle and Create a Critter for the first part of the sentiment.  The sentiment pun is from K Andrew Designs All About Animals stamp set.

I hope you'll join in this week's challenge by linking your Funny Pun to the Fantabulous Cricut blog. Even if you don't play with us this week, be sure to stop by FCCB to see more Funny Pun projects presented by the design team members.

Remember, too, that's it's Pre-Hop week at Getting Cricky.  Many of the DT members have selected one cartridge to showcase throughout the week. Each design will also feature a
K Andrew Designs stamp.  Today's FCCB card has the "turtlely!" pun from All About Animals.
You can play along with us by linking as many projects as you like as long as you follow the guidelines which you can read below.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn

Slow Poke!

Good Morning and welcome to Handmade from My Heart.

If you're looking for Cooking with Cricut's Love Song Blog Hop, click HERE. Today's hop features a different group of designers.  If you'd like to visit the designers participating in yesterday's hop, just scroll down to my blog hop post.  Remember, I will announce my blog candy winner on Valentine's Day so there's still time to leave a comment.

Today begins a week of ideas featuring the Paisley cartridge and stamps from K Andrew DesignsGetting Cricky's 3rd Friday Blog Hop begins this Friday at 6:00 PST.  The designers thought it would be fun to have a Pre-Hop during which time we'd each select a favorite cartridge and bring you a different project each day leading up to the Hop.

My first project uses the first image on the Paisley cartridge.  I added several layers of grass cut from  Plantin Schoolbook.  The flowers are also from PS.  I sized them to match the grass and cut them out in white so I could color the stems and flowers with Copics.  The sun is from Gypsy Wanderings.  I thought this a perfect sentiment for a belated thank you or birthday card.  "SlowPoke" is from All About Animals.   "I'm" is from Winged Things, and "a" is from Winter Wishes.  See how easy it is to create your own custom sentiment using the stamps from K Andrew Designs?

Be sure to stop by Getting Cricky to see a new Simply Sunday Challenge and also visit the design team members who are participating in this week's Pre Hop.

Tomorrow is my FCCB design team day.  I hope you'll come back to see my Challenge Me Monday project which features also the Paisley cartridge and a K Andrew Designs stamp.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn

Let Your Dreams Take Flight

I hope you're having a wonderful Sunday.  I'm thinking about going to the movies to see "Joyful Noise."  My daughter saw it and said it was just delightful.  The audience clapped at the end.  I'm all for a "feel good" movie right now.

Today is my design team day for Getting Cricky's Simply Sunday Challenge. Our theme for the challenge is Fantasy.  We're thinking mermaids, fairies, make believe, and the like.

This little Tink is actually a sticker!  I think the Tinkerbell cartridge has a very similar cut, but how easy was this!  I've been hanging on to the yummy purple sparkly paper, but I knew it was the perfect background for Tink.
The sentiment if from Kristal's Winged Things set.  Here is a preview of the set:

As you can see, I combined 3 of the stamps to create the sentiment I wanted ("Let your", "Dreams", "take flight").  That's the exciting thing about the K Andrew Designs stamps - you can customize them to meet your designing needs.  You'll find all of Kristal's stamps HERE.  And remember, different charities benefit from every stamps set sold.

Head on over to Getting Cricky to see the other design team member's Fantasy creations and then link your own design to the post.  You'll have two weeks to complete your project.  We'd love to see your creation.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a lovely day.
Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn
