Final Copic Marker Scrapbooking Release

You can still be eligible for my Skdigis drawing by clicking HERE.

It was a sad day for me when Copic Marker Scrapbooking announced that the online store was closing.  Although Colleen will keep her blog - Making Our Mark, we will no longer be releasing new images as a design team.

Colleen Chapman drew these final images.  You can pick up a free image by visiting the blog HERE and leaving some farewell bloggie love for the designers.

I've learned so much about Copic coloring being a member of this team.  The images that we've shared challenged me to stretch my coloring beyond cuteness all the time and to learn a little more about Copic art.  I will be forever grateful to Colleen for giving me the chance and to Guy for his amazing designs that really pushed me.  Thank you both!!!  I will miss the talent of the other designers and hope we stay in touch.

Here are my final images as a member of the design team:
The sentiment stamp is from "Sew Much Fun" by K Andrew Designs.

Fantasy World

The designers at Copic Marker Scrapbooking (including me!) are sharing projects created using Guy Gondron's Fantasy image set.  Like all of Guy's drawings, these images are always fun and yet offer a challenge when using Copic markers.  I've selected three of Guy's images to create cards to share with you today.  You can see the rest of the release at Making Our Mark.

I think this sentiment from K Andrew Designs Positive Thoughts set is perfect!

I hope you'll take the time to visit Making Our Mark to see the entire set - the images are pretty amazing - you've got to see the Frog Prince!

Now for some  Great news!!  On each blog you'll be given a letter.  Leave a comment on each blog,  pick up every letter, then  just figure out the "secret" word and email it to Colleen at
Once she's verified that you've left comments, she'll send you ALL of the Steampunk digital images FREE!!!  + your email address will be entered into a drawing where one person will win a
 Copic EX-6 set .Woohoo!!

If you've arrived from Kathie's blog, you're in the right spot.  If you're a regular visitor to my blog and decide you want to hop along, you can start HERE

Steampunk was a brand new genre for me.  It's a cross between vintage and punk and really a lot of fun to design.  To wrap your head around it, think gears and gadgets, imagination and invention, then add a little punk and little whimsy.  There you go - STEAMPUNK.

I wanted to try a monochromatic project and this owl was perfect.  I used the E50 - E59 Copic family.  The dimensional gears are Tim Holz, the gear die cut is Sizzix, and the stamp I used to create the background is from VivaLasVegas Stamps. The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs "Owly Hoo" set.  Since I used scrap kraft paper for the die cut and recycled paper for the stamped background, I'm entering this card is Getting Cricky's Simply Sunday "Give a Hoot" challenge.

I used R43, 46 and E08 for the skirt and BG 10, 11 and 13 for the umbrella and corset.   I found a wonderful Sizzix embossing folder perfect for this style and a great stamp from Hero Arts "Art of the Card" set.  I used the gear die cut and then embossed with a Sizzix alphabet folder.  Of course this style calls for lots of Distressed Ink.

There are lots of colors in this one, but the main colors are BG 11,13,15, and 45, YR 61, 65, and 68, andYG 21 and 23 and the W's 0-5.

Isn't this Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe paper fabulous!  It speaks for itself.

Once you leave a comment on my blog, you'll be eligible for my BLOG CANDY drawing.  One name will be chosen by Random.org to receive a surprise package.  Hmmmmmm, what could it be?  Surprises are always fun, right?  Be sure to leave me a way to contact you.

The letter you are here for is T.

Your next stop is Lynne's blog

Thanks for joining  our First-Ever hop.  Don't forget to email the secret word to Colleen so you can receive your FREE digital images.

Larelyn

Need An Extra Hand?

Copic Marker Scrapbooking has released a new Under the Sea series of digital stamps.  I shared my mermaid card last Sunday for Getting Cricky's Simply Sunday Challenge.  Here are two more from the release.

Both of these are large (for me) cards.  The first is 5.5 x 5.5 and the second is 5 x 7.  I needed the extra size to show off these gorgeous papers and also to do the images justice.
The sentiment for the second card is from K Andrew Designs Pirate Tales and Fish Scales set.  I heat embossed it to make it pop.

You can see all of designs from this release by visiting the CMS blog HERE or on the Copic Marker Scrapbooking Facebook page in the photo gallery.  All of the digital images are available in the
Copic Marker Scrapbooking online store HERE.

Have a delightful weekend.

Sea You Soon

It's another Simply Sunday Challenge at Getting Cricky.  Our new theme is "Aarrgh, Matey." We're thinking about pirates, fish, mermaids . . .

This was the perfect theme for me since Copic Markers Scrapbooking will be releasing a new set of images tonight.  You get a sneak preview since I used one of the new images on this card.

I used KAndrew Designs'  "Pirate Tales and Fish Scales" sentiment set.

You can purchase this stamp set HERE
Please visit Getting Cricky to see what the other design team members have to share and also to link up your own "Arrgh Matey" creation.

We'd really love to have you join our challenge. It's a great way to share your work, receive positive feedback, and get traffic to your blog.

First Post for Copic Marker Scrapbooking

You may have noticed a badge on my sidebar for Copic Marker Scrapbooking.  I recently became a design team member for that site and this is my first post.  It is not a challenge blog, but rather a place for those who are interested in refining their skills with Copics and also an online store for markers and digital images.
A new digital set is being released today.  Here are two of the images that are now available.
This little scarecrow was so much fun to color.  The sentiment is from the Fall O Ween set by K.Andrew Designs.  I heat embossed it with clear powder to bring out the ink color.

Isn't she just a stylin gal?  The flowers were fussy cut from a coordinating piece of patterned paper and then popped up with foam dimensionals.

If you're a Copic fan or if you enjoy digital images, please visit the Copic Marker Scrapbooking store.  You'll also find some very valuable information about using the markers and also a refill service.  Over on the blog, you'll see some wonderful examples of projects created using Copics as well as upcoming online classes!!!!  You can visit the blog HERE.

I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow.  I will put up a new blog post because it's Delightful Challenges day and I have a cute image to share with you.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn

Lara Ladybug

Here is a card I designed for the Copic Marker Scrapbooking design team call.  We were challenged to use predominantly red.  It's a tricky color to use with Copics as it wants to bleed a bit so it's really important to use a very good quality paper.  I use GinaK  pure luxury card stock.  The image is one of the adorable characters found at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

I used my favorite way to design - lots of paper layering with some great (I think!) patterned paper, a little ribbon, and a little sparkle.

Speaking of Digital Delights - our 12 Days of Christmas begins November 1(tomorrow or today, depending on when you're reading this).  Each day a new image will be released.  You can follow along be clicking HERE or clicking on the badge at the top of my sidebar.

Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn
