Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge 435 ~ Thinking of You

Hi Crafty Friends,

Our challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas is THINKING OF YOU.

Along with birthday cards, I feel you can never have too many of these cards in your stash.

You know how much I love using Copic Markers for my projects but I'm trying to branch out and master new skills.  Today's card is a simple tag which I created using Zig Clean Color water color brush pens.  I love the way it turned out but I must admit that this isn't an easy technique for me because I tend to over-color! EEEK!  As Elsa says, I need to "Let it Go!"

This ribbon is some homemade crinkle ribbon which I made using bias tape and distress stain.

I hope you'll join our challenge this week.  Just follow the DCD link above.

Birthday Blooms

Hi Crafty Friends,
Today's challenge at Clear It Out Challenge is YOUR STYLE and the stash item is your favorite crafty item.  Here's my project for challenge #84:
I would say my style is CAS but I do love layering mats to accent my patterned paper.  My favorite craft item is ribbon - I have it stored everywhere LOL!  The ribbon I used today is my own handmade crinkle ribbon using Ranger die inks and seam binding. I also used Jaded Blossom Flag Dies and a JB sentiment from the Seeds of Friendship stamp set.  The image is Dogwood Flowerpot pretties from Lacy Sunshine, today's sponsor.  If you enter this week's challenge, you'll have a chance to win 3 images from Lacy Sunshine.  Link your MY STYLE project HERE.

Catch A Wave Blog Hop

Hi Crafty Friends,
Welcome to Digi My World's Catch a Wave Blog hop!
It's time for our April release!  We are so over WINTER and wanted to bring some warm sunshine and activities your way!  So sit back, relax and enjoy the inspiring creations the teams have made using the latest Digi My World Digital Stamps!

We are releasing 4 new digital stamps and  5 colored clipart for this hop!

You should have come here from Barb at BugBites, if not, you may want to start at the beginning with Digi My World! --but I have a complete blog hop line up at the bottom of my post.

And now for my project!

I absolutely adore the I Work Out set.  I had used the cut files from SVG Cutting Files to make a mini album for my daughter awhile back.  Now Annie has created the files as digis and clip art so, of course, I had to create something from the set.

I made this cute tag to go on a package of Pocket Protein - a great gift for the girl who loves to work out.  I used the Treat Tag Die from Jaded Blossom for the base (paper by American Crafts) and then added the sentiment to one of Jaded Blossom's Mini Tag dies.  The sentiment if from Jaded Blossom's Fitness Junkie stamp set.
I died the crinkle ribbon myself using Distress Ink and Hug Snug seam binding adding some Twendy Twine to the bow.  The image is colored with Copic markers

A Wine Bottle Tag

Hello Crafty Friends,
Today I'd like to share a large tag I made to place on a bottle being taken as a host gift for Thanksgiving.  For this design team project I used the Tag Ornamental cut file from Paper Crafting World.

I cut the tag on my Cameo without resizing the file.  The tag is 4 x 7.5 which is a great size to place on a wine bottle.  I think it will be a "stand-alone" decoration.  The tag has 3 mat layers then the ornamental design.

I also used the Cricut Flower Shoppe cartridge to cut out these flowers.  I cut them from white paper and used my VersaMagic Chalk ink to color them.  Then I burnished them on a soft mat so they would have some dimension before layering each one.  The leaves were punched with the Martha Stewart double leaf punch.  The ribbon is hand-died crinkle ribbon.    Finally, I made a quick banner tag to add to the top using a stamp from Bug Bites Autumn Splendor set.

Thanks for joining me today.  I hope your holiday season is off to a great start and that you and yours will have a blessed and happy Thanksgiving.

It's Apple Picking Time!

Hello Crafty Friends,
It's my design team day at Digi My World.  Today I'm sharing one of the images from the
Apple Picking set.

I chose the bushel basket of apples image because hubs and I just spent the day at Apple Hill and came home with bags of juicy apples and lots of apple baked goods - YUM!

This card is on a 5 x 7 card base.

Here's a close-up of the image - she's so cute!!
Ann Kelly, our digital artist and owner of Digi My World, loves polka dots so I had to have her wearing a polka dot dress and hair ribbons.

Supplies used for this project:
Paper: Creative Imaginations and Bo Bunny Vintage Dots
Digital Stamp: Apple Picking Set
Markers: Copics
Dies:  Spellbinders Wonky Rectangles
Stamp:  Autumn Splendor set by Bug Bites
Ribbon: hand-died crinkle ribbon using Distress Stain and Hug Snug seam binding
Crafter's Spools, gems, VersaMagic Chalk Ink, Ranger Distress Ink and Embossing Powder, Signo white gel pen

So glad you stopped by today

I've Got News to Share!

Have you visited Digi My World?
Ann Kelly is the digital artist who creates the adorable digital stamps for this online store.
She is in the process of revamping her Digi My World blog and has asked me to be one of her designers!!!
Woohoo!
I accepted because 1) I LOVE coloring digital stamps, and 2) her stamps are very different from the other artists for whom I design.  She has a little bit more primitive style and I am sooooo excited to share my projects with you beginning in October.
As a preview and also to help me share my good news, I've used one of the images from the
Hayrides set to create this card.

Hayrides
Here are all the images included in this set.
Now for some REALLY good news!  Ann is looking for more designers.  If you think you'd be interested in applying for the team, you can read about the DT call HERE.
Please pass the word to your fellow digi users as well.
The brand new design team and DMW blog will debut the week of October 7.  My post day will be Wednesdays (every other week).  I hope you'll add this to your list of blogs to visit.

New Beginnings

This week the Delightful Challenges gals will be celebrating New Beginnings - new job, new home, new baby . . .
This is a perfect challenge for me since my youngest daughter just began a new job.
I've made this card using Digital Delights by Louby Loo's "Jubbly Turtle."

The mats are Spellbinders Labels 11.  The "ruffle" is a strip of the patterned paper that I fussy cut along the ruffle.  The ribbon is my own hand-died crinkle ribbon accented with some Crafter's Floss.  A little VersaMagic Chalk ink and some pearls finished the card.

Please join our challenge by linking your "New Beginnings" project to the Delightful Challenges blog.

Celebrating Fall

Hi Everyone,
Just got back from 3 fabulous days of crafting at my local scrapbook store, Memories for the Making
in Lodi, California.  I got so many projects completed and I'll be sharing some of them with you over the next few weeks.

Today is my turn to post on the Design Team blog for Paper Crafting World.
I'm so happy to be designing around the fall theme.  I just love the oranges, yellows, greens, and browns that represent the season.
Here's my card:
PCW cut file used: Pumpkins Corner Vine
The papers are the DCWV Amber Autumn Stack and Bo Bunny Vintage Dots.  I made the crinkle ribbon using Hug Snug seam binding and Ranger Distressed Stain.

I used the backside of the Bo Bunny dots paper for the leaves and inked all the edges with Powder Puff Chalking Ink in Mocha Mama.  I used my Pazzles Electronic Cutter to cut the pieces.

Here's the file I used:

I'm entering in the following challenges:
The Corrosive Challenge "#182 All About Fall"
Paper Playtime "Use 3 different papers"
Unstampabelles Challenge "Use scraps and old stash" - the background papers are from a DCWV stack I purchased 2 years ago.

While at the 3-day crop, we were provided with daily Make n Takes.  This is a double page layout that we were given.  There was lots of room to determine our own mat location and how many we wanted to add.  I also added the doodling to highlight different parts of the layout.

Thanks for stopping by today.  If you're feeling like you want to start in on your fall projects,  be sure to head to Paper Crafting World for you digital prinatables and cut files.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,

Cricut Saturday!

Good Morning!  I'm so glad you're here to see my projects for
My Paper Crafting's
Cricut Saturday
I have been so busy creating digital image projects that I'd forgotten just how much I enjoy using my Cricut.  I know many of you have switched to other cutters (ok, I also have a Pazzles), but I really do love using my E2 and the huge cartridge collection that I have.
For today's projects, I used all three of the CTMH cartridges - they are so versatile!
For this first card I used the new Artbooking cartridge.  Using the E2 made it so easy to size the images I selected because I could see them right on the screen (I don't use CCR).  Since all of the feature sizes are proportioned to the base images which are sized for page layouts, I used Real Dial size.
"Sweet" is the title feature on page 49.  The flower uses the icon images on page 48.  The tag is a border inage on page 50.  I also used the Paper Crafting World digi image Bear in Sundress with Daisies and colored her with Copics.  The ribbon is my own hand-died crinkle ribbon.  Finally, I embossed the mat and added Stickles for a little bling.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Die Cuttin Divas "Orange and White"
Crafting by Designs "Anything Goes"
Craftin Boutique Challenges "Anything Goes"

For the flower and leaf on this card I used the Art Philosophy cartridge.
The flower can be found on page 50 and the leaf on page 56.  I used a Pearl Pen to add some accents to the flower and card border and adhesive lace strips to border the sentiment strip.

The base and pop-up are from the Artiste cartridge on page 51.  The parts cut to the perfect size for an A2 card.  The papers are from the Carta Bella Cowgirl line.  I love colors!!
Finding the different cuts for these projects really made me want to spend more time exploring these cartridges.  Next, I want to use the fabulous stamps that came with the set.
Thanks for joining me today.  I hope you'll visit My Paper Crafting to see more Cricut projects.
If you're interested in these CTMH cartridges you can contact my consultant, Melinda Beltran (also owner of  Paper Crafting World) HERE.
