Sweet Friend

I'm so glad you stopped by.  It's my turn for Hostess Monday at
Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

My card is a new design for me.  It's called a C-fold and I watched a video by Lizzy at
That Craft Place Inspiration Blog to learn how to create it.  Lizzy created a much larger card but it works well for an A2 as well.
Here's my card using Cappuccino Pippin.  Pippin Mouse is one of my favorite characters in the
Digital Delights by Louby Loo line.  He's colored with Copic Markers.

I used my own hand died crinkle ribbon, Crafter's Floss, and a Spellbinders butterfly for the bow embellishment.

A Spellbinders scalloped circle created the "C" and smaller Spellbinders dies for the mats.

Here you can see how the "C" fold was created.  I used an Martha Stewart deep border punch for the inside mat and created the flower with several Martha Stewart flower and leaves punches.

The sentiment is from the Ice Cream Sentiment Set.  I cut the frame from a Spellbinders card maker die set.  Finally, VersaMagic Chalk ink on most of the layers,  bling and Stickles finished the card.

The Final Digi Desserts Fridaze

Today is a bittersweet day.  This will be my final Digi Desserts Fridaze post for
My Paper Crafting.  I have been creating the DDF posts since September.  I was so honored to be asked by Melin to coordinate the weekly post. I have such deep respect for the talented gals who shared their projects along with mine.  I looked forward each week to going to our team album to see what digi goodness I would find to share with all of you.

Even though the Design Team term is officially finished, stay tuned as some of us will STILL BE HERE, designing for Paper Crafting World, and providing you with some great crafty inspiration, ideas, tips and tutorials!
We are looking forward to a Sizzlin’ Summer of Paper Crafting!

Here's my final project.  I had these papers picked out while I was still in Texas and never got around to creating the card.  I must have been waiting on this Butterfly with Flower image to bring it all together.

I colored the butterfly with Copics.  The flower and leaves are Martha Stewart punches.  The light blue paper came embossed with the flowers.  All I did was sand it a little bit.

I would appreciate it if you would visit My Paper Crafting to take a look at the other DT cards and maybe leave the team members a little love.

And be sure to keep checking in at Paper Crafting World to see our new format for the summer.

Red, White, and Blue

It's a color challenge at Delightful Challenges.  With Independence Day a week away of course we chose Red, White, and Blue.

I'm using Liberty Daisy for my card.  She comes with the sentiment and also a flag image.
You can purchase Daisy from Digital Delights by Louby Loo by clicking
HERE.

I colored Daisy with Copics and inked the mat with VersaMagic Chalk Ink.  The mats are Spellbinders Labels 17.

You can join in our Red, White, and Blue fun by linking your project to Delightful Sketches.
Our prize sponsor this week is
$25.00 Store Certificate.

I would like to enter this card in Created with Love Challenges "4th of July".

Time to join some Challenges!

I spent all day yesterday at a crop at my LSS.  After preparing my Copic Class kits, I had time to create a nice stack of cards specifically for some challenges I wanted to enter - woohoo!  I haven't be able to do this for quite awhile.
So, here are two of the cards I made:

I made this first card for the My Craft Spot "Cute as a Bug" challenge.  I used the Tuesday Morning Sketch for the layout.  I love this little hedgehog image - so sweet.  I cut the Spellbinders circles on my new eBosser,  I know, am I too lazy to crank the Cuttlebug or Grand Calibur?  Well, the answer is YES.  This machine makes die cutting so easy and I love the 8.5x11 platform.  I'm also entering this card in the Fun-day Friday Challenge "Critters and  One Stop Craft Challenge "for a Friend."

The next card I made is for my new grand nephew who was born on June 5.
I found this image while searching for a fairy image for the
Tuesday Throwdown "Fantasy" challenge.  I just had to make this card to welcome Parker to the family.
I also want to enter this card in the Sister Act "Anything Goes" challenge.

I hope you'll visit tomorrow for a few more challenge cards I made while at the crop.

A Little Bit of This and That

Good Morning, Blogging Friends.

Please be sure to read the final note at the end for a link to an amazing site if you love entering your designs in challenges.

Hubby and I had a nice anniversary.  We went out to dinner without going off our food plan and received anniversary phone calls from both of our daughters, so it was a good day!

Here's the CAS card I made for the hubs.  I used my eBosser (anniversary gift to myself LOL) to cut the mats and flourish using some of my Spellbinders dies.  The sentiment is a My Creative Time stamp (love the quality of Emma's stamps!).  The paper is DCWV Bella Armoire.

I have been cruising around bloggie world to update my Challenge notebook.

CHALLENGE NOTEBOOK? you ask.

Yes, I'm a little binder crazy and I made a binder with weekday dividers.  On the cover sheet of each divider I list some of the challenge sites and their blog addresses.  Then behind each divider I have printed 9-box charts, one for each week.  I can write what each challenge is in the boxes and include any notes, recipes, sketches, etc. needed to follow the challenge guidelines.   This way, I can go through my book and see which challenges might coordinate and design projects accordingly. I also mark which ones I want to make projects for and then the ones I actually entered.  I can also add ideas for die cuts, digis, stamps, layouts, etc. that I want to use - the charts are great for planning
 (I AM a planner!!)

THEN
I met a blogger who led me to the most amazing site.
FELINE PLAYFUL
The name is misleading but if you love challenges, you really must visit.
Chris has a team of volunteers who list all the challenges and winners everyday!!!
It's unbelievable - you'll find all the information you need for almost every challenge out there and it's updated every day.  And, if you enter challenges, you can check back for the list of winners.

Have a lovely weekend!  I'm heading for a twelve-hour crop so I'd better finish packing my crafty goodies!

So Sweet

I'm sharing a card that I made for Terrific Tuesday/SVG Cuts at My Paper Crafting.
I'm enjoying using my Pazzles with .wpc and svg cut files.  I still love my Cricut, but there are so many fabulous files available for the other cutters and Paper Crafting World has quite a selection.

This card uses the So Sweet Title cut file.  I also used the
Sweet as Cherries digital printable file and the Sweet as Cherries Designer Digital Paper,
all from Paper Crafting World.

I used my hand died crinkle ribbon, Crafter's Floss, and Washi tape for embellishment.

Here's the inside:
I used Word to insert the digi paper and then place the digi in front- used the jpeg format so the digi wouldn't be transparent.   When I printed it out, the digi was ready to color right on the patterned paper.

You'll find more SVG projects when you visit My Paper Crafting.

Weddings and Anniversaries

Well it is, after all, June!
Hubby and I will be celebrating our 44th anniversary on June 21!!!  Wow, that seems like a lot of years.  I must say, though, they've been good ones.

Today's theme for Delightful Challenges is Wedding and Anniversary.

Pasquali is toasting  all of you who may be celebrating a special time this month!
I used Copics to color the image and Distress Ink on the edges.  I added cream seam binding for the crinkle ribbon effect then added some twine and  gems.  Simple layout, but I wanted your eye to focus on this adorable image.

Please visit Delightful Challenges to see more wedding and anniversary images and enter your own project for a chance to win a $15 store gift certificate from

Dear Ol' Dad

Good Morning!
It's Crafts with Cartridges day at My Paper Crafting.  I hope you'll visit MPC for some great ideas celebrating Dear Ol' Dad or any special man in your life.

I used these Carta Bella papers and the Billionaire cartridge to create this card.  Who knew that this cartridge would be a forerunner to the mustache craze!

Wonderful Wednesday

and time for a project created for My Paper Crafting's "Crafts with Cutters."

I used my Cricut Circle Sophie cartridge to make this card.  It's the one suggested in the handbook.
If you find you loose your crafting mojo now and then, the handbooks have some great ideas.

I love that the border cut card is part of this cartridge along with some great base features.

Hope on over to My Paper Crafting for more Cricut ideas.

See you tomorrow for a brand new release at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.
The Delightful Challenge gals will be featuring each new character.
HINT:  Just in time for summer!
