Wonderful Wednesday

and time for a project created for My Paper Crafting's "Crafts with Cutters."

I used my Cricut Circle Sophie cartridge to make this card.  It's the one suggested in the handbook.
If you find you loose your crafting mojo now and then, the handbooks have some great ideas.

I love that the border cut card is part of this cartridge along with some great base features.

Hope on over to My Paper Crafting for more Cricut ideas.

See you tomorrow for a brand new release at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.
The Delightful Challenge gals will be featuring each new character.
HINT:  Just in time for summer!

Something Old, New, Borrowed, and Blue Blog Hop

Welcome to Day One of PaperCraftingWorld / CookingWith Cricut's first Blog Hop of 2012! Our theme is: “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue!”

If you have arrived here from Jill's blog - Jaihartjustlovelydesigns- you’re in the right place! If you just stopped by my blog and now want to hop along, head on over to see Melin at Cooking with Cricut and start at the beginning so you don’t miss any of the wonderful projects my fellow designers have created!

To go along with the theme, the Design Teams had to use something old from their craft stash, something new (a recent purchase or new technique), something borrowed (an element from a Cricut cut or from a PaperCraftingWorld.com cutting file or digi stamp) and of course, something blue.

Here is what I came up with . . .

My something old is all the paper - I used Tim Holtz and K& Company stacks that I've had on hand for quite awhile. My new items? The die cut heart is a Memory Box die that I just got and the stamped image is from one of my newest K Andrew Designs sets, Positive Thoughts.  I borrowed the leaves from the Sophie cartridge to go with my Art Philosophy rose.  And I guess you can tell what's blue!

I'm so glad you joined our hop today and to show my thanks, I'm offering some surprise goodies to one name randomly selected from those of you that are kind enough to leave a comment.  Be sure you let me know how best to contact you.  I will post the winner's name next Tuesday.

Now head on over to Jen’s blog, -Musings of a Crafty Mom -  and see what she’s created!

Make sure you check in tomorrow at Cooking with Cricut and see what the Day Two Designers have cooked up!

My First Getting Cricky Design

As a member of the Getting Cricky design team, I'll be posting one new card a week featuring the wonderful stamps created by Kristal Andrew of K Andrew Designs. The Getting Cricky blog also sponsors a Simply Sunday Challenge which I would like to invite you to participate in.  Since our design team has added so many new members, Kristal and her Senior Design Team have lots more things planned for other days so be sure to keep up with the blog.  The easiest way is to become a subscriber.

Now, at little about Kristal's stamp sets.  One of the reasons I wanted to be on her team is that she supports some wonderful charities.  $1 from every set sold is donated to a charity.  When you purchase your stamp sets, you'll know which charity your purchase is supporting.  How generous is that?  Also, the quality of her stamps is amazing.  Each image or sentiment stamps crisp and clean - I love that.

The first set I purchased was the Sympathetic Sayings set.  Her sentiments have beautiful fonts and very thoughtful sayings.

Here is the card I created.  I used the Sophie cartridge for the die cut and then added dimension using a Copic marker, metallic pen, some score lines using my MS Scoreboard,  pearls and ribbon.

I've decided that Tuesdays will work well in my crafting schedule to share my Getting Cricky designs.  Each Tuesday, I'll feature more of Kristal's stamps.  Be sure to visit  K Andrew Designs to see the many wonderful stamp sets she has to offer.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn
