Anniversary Rewind

Sometimes you create a design that just bears repeating.  I designed an anniversary card a number of months ago using Elegant Edges.  Today, when I needed another anniversary card, I decided to use the design again.  I changed the color scheme but stuck with same layout.
Here is my anniversary card rewind:

The patterned paper is DCWV (The Chateau Lavendar).  I embossed the gold Recollections paper.
The stamped sentiment and heart are from K Andrew Designs "Amazing You" and "Splash-tastic Summer" sets. The die cut sentiment is from Beyond Birthdays.   I chose this color scheme because it was for a 40th (Ruby) Anniversary.

It's a Celebration

This week's theme at Delightful Challenges is "Celebrations."  The design team members are sharing projects which are inspired by different reasons to celebrate - weddings, birthdays, etc.

Since it's so close to Independence Day I made a tri-fold card which celebrates America.  I used papers from the Patriotic Digital Paper Pack and the God Bless America sentiment.  Both of these items can be found at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  You'll notice that this week I didn't use an image - just the digital papers and the sentiment.  I did outline the stars and border using Spica glitter pens.

You can join in the Celebration challenge by linking your project to the Delightful Challenges blog.
I can't wait to see what you're celebrating.

It's Hot Outside!

I think for most of the country summer has finally arrived.  The weather is perfect for doing things in and around the water.  And that's this week's Cooking with Cricut challenge.

The design team will be sharing their ideas for things to do around the water.  For my project, I decided on a mountain stream instead of a pool or the beach.  The cuts are from Campin Critters.  I love how easy it is to layer the images.  They just go together in the order of the base and shift images and then the feature keys.

My sentiment is computer generated.  I just had to chuckle when I came up with the sentiment (it was quite late at night!!!)

You can join in our weekly challenge by linking up to the Cricut Challenge tab at CWC.  Remember that for the Wednesday challenges you must use a Cricut cut somewhere on your project.

Glad you stopped by.  Don't forget the DT Call for Copic Markers Scrapbooking.  All the info you need is in the post below.

CWC Birthday Blog Hop

I'm so glad you're here!

Welcome to the CookingWithCricut/ PaperCraftingWorld Designers' June Blog Hop. I hope you're ready for two days of great projects with each day showcasing different designers and projects. If you have come from Jill's blog then you are moving right along. If you would like to start from the beginning, please head over to Cooking with Cricut.

This month our hop theme is all about Birthdays with one special birthday in mind. Our wonderful DT Coordinator, Jen Hudson’s, birthday just happened to fall on Saturday so we decided to make birthday inspired projects with a “Jen” theme in mind. Our go-to gal is a die-hard Florida Gator Fan, so we decided to use elements on our projects that reflected Our GATOR FOR LIFE Gal’s PASSION; Florida, The Florida Gators and anything that would make you think of the Sunshine State. Jen is the last stop on our blog line up so be sure to hop through and leave her some extra special love at the end!

I'm sending Jen this Florida and Gator inspired birthday card.

I used the rectangle card feature from the Life is a Beach cartridge.  I've never used this feature before but it has so many possibilities, especially for photo frame cards.  The gator is from Birthday Bash and the sentiment is from MS Elegant Cakes.  I used a K&Co stack for the 2-sided patterned paper (actually found an orange and blue combo!). A little inking, some googly eyes, gems, and twine and the card was ready to be mailed.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JEN!!!  You are an awesome person and a gifted designer!!!

Be sure to stop by Cooking with Cricut and leave a comment for your chance to win some great blog candy!

Now on to your next stop, the talented Suzanne - Cricut Craftin Grammy.

Be sure to hop again tomorrow as you'll see a different set of projects presented by more members of our talented design team. Just start at CWC.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn

Anything Goes

This week's challenge at Delightful Challenges should be easy-peasy since it's an Anything Goes challenge!  Woohoo - whatever is on your crafting table will work for this one.

I've made a birthday card using the adorable Cupcake Timmy from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.
The mats were cut using Spellbinders scalloped squares.  The paper is by Sassafrass.

So come on over and join the fun.  Just link your project HERE.

And don't forget that there is a Design Team Call for Delightful Challenges.  All the information can be found HERE.  If you love coloring and want to work with fabulous digis, this is the team for you.

Celebrate the USA

I have another Copic Class coming up and my gals wanted to do patriotic projects.  Our local store (where I teach the monthly class) got in these wonderful Pebbles "Let Freedom Ring" papers.  I love the vintage feel of the colors.

I cut the mats from Elegant Edges and embossed the top one with the Stars embossing folder.  The image is one of Meljens Designs.  I used VersaMagic chalk ink, twine and a button to embellish this
 tri-fold card.

This second image is by Designed2Delight.  I think this card needs more chalking or distressing, but I'll let my gals decide how they want to embellish their's.

Hope you're having a delightful Father's Day.  Hubby is recouperating from his surgery so doesn't want to do much except rest.  Bless his heart - he said that he wanted a Papa Murphy's veggie pizza (we do add Italian sausage LOL) for his Father's Day dinner.  How lucky can I be?

Happy Anniversary

My nephew was married on our 33rd anniversary so I always try to make him and his wife a special anniversary card to remember "our" special day.  I'm also always inspired by the amazing work of Lisa  at A Mermaid's Crafts.  She creates the most gorgeous cards often using layers of Spellbinders diecuts.  I've been adding to my Spellbinders collection (I'll blame Lisa!) so I figured I'd better start using them.   Here is my Lisa-inspired  anniversary card.

Card Recipe:
DCWV - Chateau Lavendar paper stack
K Andrew Designs stamps - Winged Things and All in the Family
Spellbinders - Blossom Tags and Accents,  Grand Calibur Creative Book Pages
Crop-a-dile Corner Chomper
America Crafts Knockouts border punch
VersaMagic Chalk Ink - Spring Pansy, Hint of Pesto
Satin ribbon and pearls

Hope your weekend is off to a great start.

For the Boys

Time for a new challenge at Delightful Challenges.  This week our projects are For the Boys.
I love this Fireman Peyton image.  He can be found at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.
The sentiment is also from Digital Delights.

I cut the mat using  Spellbinders Labels 18 then left the image in the die to emboss and then ink.  When the die is removed, the white embossed border really stands out.
Peyton was colored using Copic Markers.

You can join in our challenge by linking up to the Delightful Challenges blog. You do not have to use one of our images to enter.  The only requirement is that you follow the theme.

Dad's Day Gift Card Holder

We're celebrating Dad's at Cooking with Cricut.  When you visit the CWC blog to see the other design team projects you'll notice we're not sharing cards because this week's challenge is anything BUT a card.
For my project I created a gift-card box that's large enough to also hold cash or even wallet sized photos.  The papers are from my scrap stash.  The vest was cut from the Billionaire cartridge.  Baker's Twine is wrapped around the flap with the tiny tag sentiments adhered with a Glue Dot.

I hope you'll join in this week's challenge.  Just link your Dad's Day anything but a card project to the Cooking with Cricut's Wednesday challenge.

You Shore are cute!

It's time for this month's new release at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  It's June so, of course, we're thinking Summer Fun.  Wendy has created a fantastic summer set that truly celebrates summer fun in fun Luau style.  I'm sharing Hula Halina and some images from the Luau Accessory Set.  The inside of my card has one of the many Luau Sentiments.

All of the papers are from Echo Park's "Splash" 6x6 pack.
Here's the inside:

You'll find cards featuring the entire new release at our challenge blog - Delightful Challenges.
I'd love to have you enter our Summer Fun challenge.  Just link your post HERE.

Also, be sure to visit the Digital Delights by Louby Loo blog on Monday.  I will be posting for Hostess Monday and I'm sharing one of the newer products in Wendy's store - silhouettes.  Plus, I've used my first pre-colored image.

World's Best Dad / Design Team Call

I created this card using digital papers, and an image, and sentiment from Digital Delights by Louby Loo. I think the shirt is perfect for paper piecing and it's so easy to place the image right on the digital paper.  I don't have a photo editing program, I just use Word 2010.  The papers are from Wendy's "Just for Men" digital paper pack.  I also think it would be easy to create a shape card using this image - hmmmm, may have to give that a try.

Design Team Call!
Delightful Challenges (challenge blog for Digital Delights by Louby Loo)  is having a summer/fall design team call.  If you're interested click HERE to get the information.  I've been on this team for a year and it's just fantastic to be able to share the amazing images created by Wendy (aka Louby Loo.)

Hope you're having a great week.  Hubby is having shoulder surgery tomorrow.  It's his right shoulder so he'll be out of commission for awhile.  Looks like I'll be staying home so maybe I'll get more of my crafty ideas completed instead of just floating around in my brain.

#1 DAD

I just received two new stamp sets from K Andrew Designs so I had to create a quick and easy card.  I've also been buying Washi Tape and haven't given it a try. Today was the perfect day to use my new stamps and try the tape.  What fun and oh-so-easy!

This new stamp set is "Guy Talk" and it can be purchased HERE

By the way, Kristal now has TWINE in her store - woohoo!  You can purchase fabulous colors in 100 yard spools for $5.00 a spool.  Now that's an amazing price.

I hope you're having a great weekend.  I'm spending time watching the
Women's College World Series.  It's just so sad that Women's Softball will not be in the Olympics this summer.  Lots of people are working hard to get the game reinstated as an Olympic sport.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn
