Swirls and Curls

We have a fun challenge for you at Delightful Challenges.  It's "Swirls and Curls" so all you have to do is create something with swirls and/or curls.  I'm using Angel Ditzy from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

I've created my swirls using Divine Swirls embossing folder, Die Namics swirl  die, and a Martha Steward punch around the page punch.  I colored with Copic markers and added Wink of Stella Brush glitter and Stickles.

Elf Hugs & Kisses

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today is my final post as October's Guest Designer at SVG Cutting Files.  I want to thank Ann for giving me the opportunity to work with her amazing files and to share them with you.  I also want to thank the Design Team for their constant inspiration.  They always design the most fantastic and creative projects.  For my final project I wanted to create a Christmas treat.

SVG Cutting Files used:  Elf Fry Box and Elf Life (sign holder).  Since my patterned paper was single sided, I cut a second piece to make the box liner.

Jaded Blossom products used: Elf Workshop stamp set.

Thanks so much for visiting and allowing me to share my projects with you.

Christmas Mouse

Hi Crafty Friends,
Today is a new challenge at Delightful Challenges.  It's "Three is NOT a Crowd."  We're adding any 3 of the same embellishment.  I've chosen to use three small and three large brads from one of Bo Bunny's Christmas brad sest.  I think they're the perfect embellishment for Digital Delights by Louby Loo's Christmas Mouse.

Christmas Mouse was colored with Copic markers.  I cut the flags and added a bow.

Hi Pumpkin

Hi Crafty Friends,

So glad you're here for my Digi My World design team post.
I just love this time of year - amazing colors, cool (but not cold) weather, and my favorite holidays just around the corner.

Today I made a card using one of the images from the Garden Girl Penny set.

Here's the entire set -
Garden Girl Penny

I colored Penny with Copic markers and then added some pumpkins from Jaded Blossom's Fall Dies and a sentiment from Jaded Blossom's Let's Talk Turkey set.  The bow is twine and Crafter's Spools with a Doodlebug Design sequin.

Thanks for stopping by.

More Squarey Monsters

Hi Crafty Friends,
I'm posting another Guest Designer spot on SVG Cutting Files Blog.   I have more Squarey Monsters for you. I hope you've been checking the store to see the newest Squarey Monsters being added almost daily.
Did you know that every Squarey has a story? I'll share two of them today.

My first Squarey Monster is Browzer.

Browzer is a robotic pet  of the robotic monsters from Wonky Island.  These pets are good for environmental purposes.  Browzer uses his scanner eye to find the greenest products, especially packaging made from recycled materials.  Keeping Browzer's story in mind, I chose to recycle a coffee drink bottle and fill it with Jolly Ranchers.  I think this makes a cute little gift.   I used Jaded Blossom's Treat Tag dieMini Tag Dies 2 and a stamp from Got Candy.

And this is Alex E.

Alex E is a Snailien.  He was sent in search of salty planets and he finds Earth to be deliciously salty! The reason it's "lucky" to throw salt over your shoulder is because if Alex E is sneaking up behind you he'd much rather eat the salt than devour you.  To keep Alex E satisfied, I also used the Salt and Pepper cut file.  For the card, I used Jaded Blossom's Card Mat DiesMini Tag Dies 2 and a stamp from Miscellaneous Fun.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Be sure to visit Squarey Monsters on Facebook.
And don't forget to join the SVG Cutting Files monthly challenge, "Make a Treat."  You can enter here or on the SVG Cutting Files Galleria Facebook page.

Color My World

Our Delightful Challenge this week is to use our favorite colors.
I love purple and green so this cute little Birthday Alien Andy from Digital Delights by Louby Loo is perfect for this challenge.

I've used papers from DCWV All About Boys and Paper Studio Eat Cake stacks.  The stars are Jaded Blossom dies and the mats are Spellbinders.  I did a print and cut on the Silhouette to get my digital image and then colored with Copic markers.

It's a new challenge for SVG Cutting Files

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's time for the new monthly challenge at SVG Cutting Files.  This month you're be asked to create a treat of some kind.  I've used these adorable Chibi Dressed Kids as Pumpkins.  Don't they look cute on these Treat Tag Dies from Jaded Blossom?  I stamped their faces with Peachy Keens Kawaii Faces.  Some simple ribbon tied around some Jack O'Lantern Peeps, and my treats are good to go.

You have until November 14 to get your treat challenge project in.  You can link to the blog (link above) or join the SVG Cutting Files Facebook page HERE.

Fight for a Cure

Hi Crafty Friends,
Today is my second post as Guest Designer for SVG Cutting Files.

October is Cancer Awareness month.  Although most of the attention is on a cure for breast cancer, we must remember that there are so many other types that need attention and funding in order to find a cure.  The fight to cure Ovarian Cancer is very close to my heart.  I lost my sister-in-law who was also my best friend to ovarian cancer.  She fought such a valiant battle - I was with her for every appointment and treatment her final year.  I wouldn't trade her final months for anything as we laughed on her good days and cried for what was to come.  So, in order to honor her, I chose to use the teal ribbon for my project.  My nephew, her youngest son is a captain in the fire department.  They painted one of their trucks pink to send the awareness message but they added a huge banner that reads "ALL PEOPLE, ALL CANCERS" and that is my message as well.

Here's my project:

I used SVG Cutting FilesAwareness Ribbon Candy Tube Holder.   I also used Jaded Blossom's Candy TubesFlag Dies, and Fight for a Cure stamps set.  I embellished with a little VersaMagic Chalk Ink, some twine, and Queen & Co. bubbles.

A Treat for You

Hi Crafty Friends,
Today is my design team day at Digi My World.  I'm sharing one image from a really cute Halloween file called No Fraidy Cats.  I put this little witch on the outside of SVG Cutting File's Decorative Edge Box which was made to fit Jaded Blossom's gusset bag perfectly.

I also used Jaded Blossom's Dainty Topper Die and a sentiment from the Halloween Poop 2 stamp set.  The little bow was tied with Twendy Twine and I used Copics to color the image.

I designed this project with Jaded Blossom's October challenge in mind:  Anything Halloween.

Thanks for stopping by.

It's a Squarey Monster!

Hi Crafty Friends,
Today is my first day as the Guest Designer at SVG Cutting Files.  As you know, I design for Annie's digi/clip art blog, Digi My World, and now I get a chance to share her wonderful SVG Cutting Files with you for an entire month!  I'm fairly new to using SVG files (have been a Cricut gal for years!) and I'm loving every minute I get to spend using my Silhouette.

The month of October will be largely devoted to introducing you to Annie's newest licensed product,
Squarey Monsters!!  These little guys/gals/monsters are so much fun.  I'd like you to meet two of these delightful monsters who will be available in the store on Friday.

First up is Melon E4, all ready to share a yummy treat.

And next is Lure.  I'm sure Lure would love to follow you home!

Other SVG Cutting Files used:

Jaded Blossom products used:
Cheesy Pick Ups (not available at this time - see Cheesy Pick Ups 2)

The fence, vines and watermelons are from the Silhouette Online Store.  I also used the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo border punch, my own handmade crinkle ribbon, gems, and Scrapper's Spools.

I'm sure you'll love these wonderful Squarey Monsters.  You'll be meeting a lot of them this month on the SVG Cutting Files Blog.

You can also visit the Squarey Monster Facebook page HERE.

Thanks for stopping by.  I'll be sharing more of Annie's SVG's next Sunday.

What Did You Say?

This week's challenge for Delightful Challenges is to add a sentiment.  I know that sounds too simple, but I often create cards without sentiments so that I can choose an appropriate sentiment when I'm ready to give the card.
This week is also a new release at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  Along with the new Christmas characters, Wendy has designed a digital paper pack, a sentiment set, and some holiday additions.
I was given Snowflake Sweeney for this challenge.
The paper is from my stash.  I added Stickles to the punched snowflake and the snowflakes on Sweeney.  He's colored with Copic markers.

Here's the entire release -
