Thanks Snow Much!

Hi Crafty Friends,
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
Today is my design team day for Paper Crafting World.

I'm using the Snowman Sign cut file from PCW.  It's a such a cute little snowman and so easy to assemble.  I didn't use the actual sign that comes with file because I wanted to use a thank you sentiment instead.

I love how Doodlebug Designs paper cuts so easily with the Silhouette.  I also used VersaMagic chalk ink to add a little dimension to the cuts.  The candies are also from Doodlebug Design and the sentiment is from the Winter Wishes set by Jaded Blossom.  I used Jaded Blossom's Card Mat Dies, Stitched Square dies, and Border dies as well.

I won't be posting again until after the New Year.  So until then, I'm wishing you a
Very Happy New Year!!!

Looking Back at Clear it Out Challenges

Hi Crafty Friends,
Happy Christmas Week.  Are you as busy as I am?  It's gotten down to priorities now.  I may have "wanted" to do something but now I'm getting only the necessities done!  Eeek, I'm such a procrastinator - that and I tend to say yes when a friend or family member needs something at the last minute - oh well.

Clear it Out Challenges is posting this week but we are revisiting favorite projects from throughout 2015.  I've chosen my July 7 projects.  All of the images are from the "Make a Joyful Noise" set by
Deedees Digis.  This card just makes me happy.  I love the sentiment and the image.

Be sure to visit Clear it Out and see the rest of the DT's favorites.  Some members have even created new projects.

Well, my friends, this is my final post before Christmas.
Have a wonderful, joyful Christmas.  May you and your family be blessed with love and happiness.

Merry Christmas!

Floating Nativity Ornament

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I'm sharing a floating ornament I made using the Nativity CF from Paper Crafting World.
I made several ornaments last year and really enjoy giving them as gifts.  When I saw Melin's Nativity cut file, I knew it would be perfect for a floating ornament.

To create the ornament you need a transparency sheet ( left over from years of teaching), vinyl (I used Oracal 651 glossy), and a clear glass ornament (mine is from Hobby Lobby).

I have a cut file for the ornament-shaped transparency and just cut it out using the sticker sheet setting with the blade set at 1.  Actually I cut out an entire page of them so that they'll ready when I want to make more.  I used transfer tape to lift the Nativity off the vinyl backing and adhere it to the ornament shape.  I poured some sequins into the ornament (tried glitter first and it stuck everywhere I didn't want it LOL) and then rolled the transparency around a pencil and placed it in the ornament.  It opens on it's own and you can move it using tweezers if you need to.  Some glitter tape, a hanger, and a bow finished this simple project.  I think it's very pretty.

The PCW Design Team will be posting throughout December so be sure to check in with us often.  Our monthly challenges will return in January.

I hope you're enjoying the holidays.  It's a crazy wonderful time and busy, busy, busy.  I'll be posting occasionally until the New Year.  Then my design teams will return to full speed.

Cut It Up Challenge #86 ~ Winter

Hi Crafty Friends,

Challenge #86 is Winter.  For my die cut, I used my new Sizzix die, Winter Deer.

I added a flock of geese using Technique Tuesday's Appreciated stamp.  The "snow" was embossed with Cuttlebug's Dotted Swiss folder and I added a few Frosted Lace Stickles to the tree silhouettes.  The star is from Jaded Blossom Christ is Born stamp set.  I stamped in gold and then added yellow Wink of Stella.

I hope you'll join in our Winter challenge.  Don't forget your die cut.

"Fishing" You a Merry Christmas!

Hi Crafty Friends,
The December images have been released at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  I know you're going to love them!
I'm using Fishing Foxy.

Foxy is colored with Copic markers.  I used Jaded Blossom Winter Dies and Tropical Dies to create the scene.  Some Scrapper's Spool twine and Doodlebug Designs sprinkles finished the card.

Here are all the New Release images.

Clear It Out Challenge #100

Hi Crafty Friends,
I'm so sorry it's been awhile since my last post.  I actually had a week break from design team projects but I'll be sharing 3 this week.

Today's card is for Clear it Out Challenge #100!  The theme and stash item is ANYTHING GOES.
I've used this adorable Santa Daniel image from Deedee's Designs - one of our challenge sponsors.

I used my Lawn Fawn stitched rectangles to cut out the image and sentiment.  The snowflake was found in my stash (I think it's a punch) along with the patterned paper.  I colored the image with Copics and added Frosted Lace Stickles to all the "fur" and ruffles.

Come join our last challenge of 2015 by adding your card HERE.
