Cut it Up Challenge #199 ~ Friends

Hi Again, Crafting Friends,
It's my second post for today and now I'm sharing my challenge project for
Cut it Up Challenge #199 ~ Friends.
Once again I'm using the pierced bracket frame dies provided by our sponsor,
STAMPlorations.

The floral paper is from Crafter's Companion and the sentiment die is Sizzix which I cut out in two colors and chipboard to stack to add dimension.  The flower is Recollections and the leaves were in my die stash.  I love green and purple; it's one of my favorite color combinations.

I hope you'll play along with us.  Just follow the link above.

Cut it Up Challenge #181 ~ Outdoor Fun

Hi Crafty Friends,
Our Cut it Up theme is OUTDOOR FUN.
I enjoy the outdoors but I must admit that I also enjoy being clean and comfortable.  So, our outdoor adventures involved a camping trailer at first and then a 40' motorhome- guess I'm a wuss!!
My card for this challenge reflects my outdoor style.
The patterned papers are from Authentique. I used dies from La-La Land Crafts (trees and trailer) and Sizzix (words) to finish the scene - quick and simple.
Come on over to Cut It Up and share your Outdoor Fun creation.
Our prize is a Michael's $10 gift card provided by Cut it Up Challenge blog.

The Merry Christmas Challenge ~ October

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I'm sharing my The Merry Christmas Challenge card for October.
I truly appreciate this challenge blog because for the first time I have quite a holiday stash so I can get my Christmas cards in the mail without a last minute card making frenzy.

I hope you can see the embossing on this card.  I have so many wonderful embossing folders and I simply don't use them enough.  This is from Crafter's Companion.  All I added was a die cut sentiment by Sizzix and a few sparkly sticker dots.

So, come on over and join our challenge and keep that card stash building!

Always Fun Challenge #10

Hi Crafty Friends,

The Always Fun Challenge for this week is Father's Day or something for a Man.

Here's my card.

I was organizing my dies and I came across a set from Sizzix with the banner, shield, and deer head.  I think this made a great Father's Day card!  I used Jaded Blossom Border dies to create the frame and their Father's Day stamp set for the sentiment.

We've had such wonderful response to our Always Fun Challenges.  I hope you'll play along.

Cut it Up Challenge #123

Welcome Back, Crafty Friends!

Today I'm sharing a project for Cut It Up Challenge #123.
Our theme is "Summer School" and your challenge is to follow a tutorial -
be sure to include a DIE cut!!

I LOVE all the wonderful tutorials shared by Jennifer McGuire.  She is so amazingly talented and creative and her tutorials are so easy to follow.  She shared this tutorial for Stacked Die Cutting not too long ago and I love the way this card turned out.

I used the Sizzix nesting hearts for the stacked hearts.  The sentiment is a die from China which I cut out using chipboard and then La-La Land's adhesive foil.  The cute heart banner is from Jaded Blossom - Banner Dies.  I love this technique.  Oh, I used the cut out hearts to embellish this inside.  The great thing about this technique is that you wind up with cuts to create two cards (or the inside, in my case.)

Come on over to Cut it Up Challenge Blog and share a project you've made following a tutorial.  You can follow the link above.

Cut It Up Challenge #86 ~ Winter

Hi Crafty Friends,

Challenge #86 is Winter.  For my die cut, I used my new Sizzix die, Winter Deer.

I added a flock of geese using Technique Tuesday's Appreciated stamp.  The "snow" was embossed with Cuttlebug's Dotted Swiss folder and I added a few Frosted Lace Stickles to the tree silhouettes.  The star is from Jaded Blossom Christ is Born stamp set.  I stamped in gold and then added yellow Wink of Stella.

I hope you'll join in our Winter challenge.  Don't forget your die cut.
