Tipsy Mouse

Hi Crafty Friends,

Delightful Challenge #9 is now open.  It's always ANYTHING GOES using a stamped image.

I've used Tipsy Mouse from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

I colored Tipsy Mouse using Copic markers.  I printed the image and then cut it out on the
Scan n Cut.  All of the papers and embellishments are from my stash.

I hope you'll join in our challenge.  We always pick our Top 3, a random winner, and a Guest Designer invitation.  You have three weeks to link up your entry.

Happy Day

Hi Crafty Friends,

I love my Copic markers but I've really wanted to try different mediums on my stamped and digital images.  Years ago I purchased Prismacolor pencils but rarely used them.   More recently I've added different water colors to my toolbox and keep telling myself that I need to take the time to try these different things.  Well, today I sat down and gave my Prismacolor pencils a try.   I'm really happy with the results.  My early attempts involved using Gamsol to blend.  Today I used the Prismacolor blender pencil.  It's gives a different effect but I like it.  I did not blend the hair at all.  I wanted to see the strands.  I basically used my Copic techniques, thinking about color families and highlight, mid tones, and shadows.  I also applied the color with small circles or flicks.
My stamped image is Abigail from Stamp Annie Thing. The sentiment is from the SAT Trudy set.

I've also used Jaded Blossom's Scalloped Square dies and Stitched Square dies.
The twine, patterned paper, and sequins are from Doodlebug Designs.

Love Hearing From You

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's my design team day at Paper Crafting World.

I'm sharing one of PCW's digital images called Bear-Love Hearing From You.
I love this set because the sentiment comes with the file along with a print and cut/paper piecing version.

I used Distress Crayons to create the water color background before adding the Copic colored image which I cut out on my Scan N Cut.  The shell was in my stash.

I love Paper Crafting World's cut files, but my crafty heart is really in digital images that I can color.  I'm just beginning to play with water colors.  I decided to try backgrounds first and then I'll venture into using water colors on images - stay tuned.

Clear It Out Challenge #109

Hi Crafty Friends,
Challenge #109 at Clear it Out Challenges Blog is all about NATURE - flowers, birds, trees, etc.
Our stash item is GREENERY so you can add anything green.
This adorable little Garden Angel is from Robyn's Fetish, our challenge sponsor.
I colored the image using Copic markers with some Wink of Stella on the wings.  The patterned papers are DCWV Chateau Lavender - so pretty.  I also used Jaded Blossom's stitched squares dies for the image and mat.

Cut It Up Challenge #94

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's time for another Cut it Up Challenge.  Our theme is spring flowers.  Be sure to include a die cut as well.  I designed a tag using Rose Circle from Bugaboo, our challenge sponsor.

The tag is from Jaded Blossom - Fancy Topper Die.  I colored it with Copic markers and added a little bit of Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen,  a tulle bow, and a few gems.  The patterned paper is from an older K&Company stack.

I hope you'll join in our challenge.  Just follow the link above.

Puddles of Fun

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today is my design team day for Paper Crafting World.

My project is a reminder that Paper Crafting World sells more than cut files.  You can also find some adorable digital stamp images and print and cut images - perfect for a handmade card that you don't feel like coloring or don't have time to assemble the parts.

I've used the Bear in Rain Gear D Sb set.  I printed the image and title and then scanned into my Scan n Cut2 and watched the magic happen as my image was cut out.

I hope you'll visit often as our fabulous designers are here to share a variety of crafty goodness.
Be sure to visit the PCW store for lots of DT samples along with fabulous files for your own creations.

April Fool's Day

Hi Crafty Friends,

Happy First Day of April!  Have you thought of any fun April Fool's jokes?

Our challenge at Cut it Up is April Fools -- along with your die cut, please include a joke or riddle.
For some great ideas just pop over to the design team blog HERE.

I found this cute riddle on Jaded Blossom's Funny Bunny stamp set.

The bunny is an svg from Silhouette Store.  I used the Dotted Swiss embossing folder and cut the bunny with my Silhouette.
I think I'll save this card for my hubby's birthday this month LOL.
