Flowers for You

Good Morning Crafty Friends,
Today is my design team day for the Paper Crafting World Design Team blog.  For this project I've selected the Carnation Double Floral digital stamp from Paper Crafting World.
I haven't added a sentiment yet but know that this card would be perfect for a Mother's Day, a thank you or a birthday card.
Supplies used for this card:
Paper:  from my stash but I think the patterned paper is Authentique
Die:  Darice - French Lattice Large Frame
Pearl Pen - salmon, American Crafts ribbon, Copic markers
I'm so glad you stopped by to take a look at today's project.

Mother's Day Card with a Cross

I had a request for a card with a cross on it.  Here's a quick one designed on the Gypsy and cut on the E2.  I used Sentimentals for the label, using the hide contour for the cutout found on the base.  The cross is from Easter 2010.  Again, I used hide contour for the cut detail on the base.  I also increased the shadow image by an eighth inch.  Finally, Swiss Dots and Victorian embossing folders, and salmon Pearl Pen to add some dimension, and, of course some ribbon - I love ribbon!

Challenge Me Monday #57

It's time for

In honor of Mother's Day, Challenge #57 is "Mom's the Word".

Mother's Day is May 8 this year (very early, but it is the 2nd Sunday).
For this week's challenge we're asking you to include the word "mom", "mother",  or any other way you might say it, and a Cricut cut.

I just love the adorable cuts on Nate's ABC's.  Each image is almost a stand-alone.  I welded "mom" using the font from Kate's ABC's (just as cute as Nate, btw), and used Elegant Edges for the frames (shadow feature).  The patterned paper was glittered so I added Stickles to the eggs and momma bird.  I embellished with Pearl Pens and my white Signo Pen.

Why don't you play along with us at FCCB.  Just link your "Mom's the Word" project below the Design Teams' examples.  And, don't forget that there is a new post each day sharing wonderful tips and ideas.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn
