Clear It Out #95

Hi Crafty Friends,

Our theme for Clear it Out Challenge #95 is Things with Wings and the stash item is GLITTER.
Glitter isn't my favorite thing but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Stickles so that's what you'll find on this card.  Our sponsor is Deedee's Digis so I've colored one of her Spring Blocks images.

I found the patterned papers in my stash and lucky for me, one was glittered. The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Bugaboo stamp set.  I heat embossed it so it would stand out on the patterned paper.  After I colored the image using Copic markers, I added Stickles to the bee's wings, the flower petals and the box border.

Come on over to Clear it Out and join in our challenge.
The prize is a $10 gift certificate from

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's time for a new monthly challenge at Digital Delights
The challenge is always "ANYTHING GOES" as long as you use a stamp (digital or rubber.)

I've created a card using the Brighten Your Day set from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

I've used Copic markers to color the image and then bits and pieces of paper, ribbon, and lace from my stash.

Brighten your day set

I hope you'll join in the fun for a chance to win a gift voucher from Digital Delights by Louby Loo and maybe the opportunity to become one of our guest designers.
The challenge is open for two weeks.  Winner, Top 3 and future guest designer will be announced on October 8.

Black Cat Kisses

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's my turn to post for Digi My World.

I just love the No Fraidy Cats set.  All of the little witches are so adorable.
Here's my card using one of them.

I've used papers from Doodlebug Designs.  The colors and patterns are so yummy.  My little witch is colored with Copic markers and cut out using Jaded Blossom's stitched circle die.  I also used JB's flag dies.  The sentiment is from JB's Halloween Poop 2 stamp set.  I added some sequins and gems for the cat's eyes and called it done.

To The Stars and Back

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's my design team day at Paper Crafting World.
Today I'm sharing one of PCW's card kit files, Card Basics Stars - Dots.  If you love mats when creating your cards, this set is for you.  It would also be a great resource for page layouts.
Here's my card:

This set comes with two scalloped mats, the dot overlay, 5 different sizes of rectangle mats (I didn't use all of them) and, of course, the stars. I layered some of the stars and popped them up.  I also placed dimensionals under the green scallop mat.   The file was so easy to work with.  The mats in the file are colored so that when you're working with them you can see how the layers are going to stack.  I changed the colors on my Silhouette screen to the card stock colors I was using and it was super simple to see how my finished project would look.  Also included is a jpeg of a completed card.  I always drag the jpeg into my program so that I have a visual of the finished project right there on my screen for reference.

The sentiment is stamped and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder so that it stands out on the patterned paper.  It's from the Superstar set by Jaded Blossom.

Be sure to visit Paper Crafting World and while there, sign up for the newsletter.  There's always a freebie for newsletter subscribers.  And, don't forget to check out the PCW Facebook page.

Thanks so much for stopping in.

Cut It Up Challenge #80

Hi Crafty Friends,
Welcome to Challenge #80~Oh Brother! (or Sister/Best Buddy)  Make something for your sibling or someone who is like a sibling to you!

Since I'm an only child, I made a card for my BFF using a cut file from Miss Kate's Cuttables.

This is actually a title file but I sized it down to fit a 5x7 card base.  I loved the file as it came and didn't want to add much embellishment so I just went for some simple doodling.  I really like the way it turned out.  The Silhouette always amazes me cutting those tiny circles in the flower centers and on the flourish.  I must admit that the choice of card stock makes a huge difference when wanting small or intricate cuts.  I use Doodlebug or American Crafts when I need these types of cuts.

We were asked to share our "OH BROTHER" stories with this challenge.  My BFF and I have known each other for over 40 years.  We worked to together, first in the same school, and later as Curriculum and Instruction coaches.  We presented workshops together and team taught in our Teacher Education Institute.  We have always been of like minds and just find joy in spending time together.  We retired within a year of one another and still spend lots of time together.  Now we are crafting enablers and are loving our crafty times.

Please visit the Cut it Up Challenge blog and enter our challenge.  Besides following the theme, you must include a DIE CUT.
Our challenge sponsor is As Cute as a Button.  They're offering a $20 store certificate.

Clear it Out Challenge #94

Hi Crafty Friends,

Our theme for this challenge is Autumn and the stash item is leaves or foliage.  I've used the
Cuddly Critter Squirrel image by Dr. Digi ~ our sponsor.

I've used Copics to color the image.  The background stamp is by Hero Arts stamped with Distress Ink.  The leaves are from Jaded Blossom's Fall Die set.  I punched a JB stitched circle to frame the image and popped up the mat for a little dimension.

Come on over to the Clear It Out blog to see more Autumn projects and then enter your own project for a chance to win 2 images from

Daisies for Your Birthday

Hello Crafty Friends,

What a thrill to be back with the Paper Crafting World design team.  You can't believe how excited I was when Melinda put out the call.  I have always loved using PCW products and am so happy to be focusing on the cut files this go round.  This has always been one of my favorite teams to design for so I'm really excited to share my projects with you this term.

I'm starting with a birthday card.  I love the colors of fall and I especially love daisies (my wedding flowers.)  I used the Daisies cut file for this project.  I also used the Card Bracket Top for my card base.

I cut two sets of daisies so that I could layer them.

All of the edges were chalked with Powder Puff ink using the Pazzles inking tool.  The crinkle ribbon is my own which I colored  with Ranger stains on Hug Snug seam binding.

Here's the Card Bracket Top which can be turned either way depending on how you wish to design your card.

I ♥ Softball

Welcome Crafty Friends

It's time for Cut It Up Challenge #79.  Our theme is SPORTS and, of course, you must include a die cut.  My card is totally CAS (clean and simple).

I used a Miss Kate's Cuttables image for the softball and used my Silhouette to make it a print and cut.  The flags are from by DIEzyne.  I printed the heart from the Silhouette using my new laser printer then added foil and ran it through my laminator.  This foiling stuff might become addictive.

Come on over to Cut it Up Challenge and enter your SPORTS project.  Remember to use a die cut.

The sponsor for this challenge is

Our family is definitely a softball family.  Both of our daughters earned full scholarships to play softball.  Then our youngest coached for two seasons at a community college in Illinois and our oldest coached Division I softball for thirteen years!  Yes, I definitely have "bleacher butt."

Clear It Out Challenge #93

Hi Crafty Friends,
Wow!  How can it be September already?  Woohoo I made a Christmas card! For me this is pretty early but I loved this Christmas Boo image from Lacy Sunshine (this week's sponsor) at Clear It Out.
The theme and stash item for this challenge is Anything Goes.
I used a page protector and the WRMK Fuse tool to create the shaker pocket.  Jaded Blossom Scalloped Square dies were used for the window and frame.  I also used JB's Christmas Signs for the sentiment, Fall Dies for the sentiment base and Winter Dies for the snowflake.  The paper and twine is Doodlebug Designs and the gems are from my stash.  I colored using Copic Markers and added some Frosted Lace and Star Dust Stickles to create the fur on the cap.
Come and join our challenge at Clear It Out.  Beginning with this week's challenge, our challenges are moving to Bi-Weekly so I'll share my next CIO project on September 15.
is offering 3 digital images for the winner of this challenge.  Visit the blog HERE
