Time for another Cut it Up Challenge.  Challenge 361 is Emboss it!
For years I've used patterned papers for the majority of my backgrounds. I must say, I love embossed backgrounds so much!  Embossing adds so much texture without too much bulk.  I also love heat embossing, especially for sentiments and outline of images to be colored.  For this challenge, I've used both, dry embossing for the focal image and heat embossing for the sentiment.

I've used all Gina K Designs products on this project:Dazzling Sunflower 3D embossing folder, die and stencil set, Master Layout 2, Cheers to Another Year stamp and die set, and Gina K inks.

Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers ~ December Sketch #64

Hi Crafty Friends,
Today I'm sharing my second card using BYSHcardmakers sketch #64.This is a great sketch for those last minute cards that you may need to make.

I've used Gina K/Simon Says Stamp Shimmering Christmas stamp set, heat embossed with silver powder and Simon Says Stamp Making Spirits Bright sentiment set, also heat embossed.  It's a simple card but so pretty with silver heat embossing and silver matting.

The Outlawz Festive Friday Challenge ~ October

I created this card for my daughter's 2nd wedding anniversary.  She got married in September so her colors were fall colors.

Jaded Blossom May Release Blog Hop

Here is what I made:

I love to experiment with different techniques and this card is the result.  I stamped and heat embossed the image using gold embossing powder.  I used Distress Ink Oxides to blend over and around the image the rubbed the ink off the embossed detail.  Finally, I added Spectrum Sparkle over the entire image which reacted with the Oxide Inks.  I used a heat gun to stop the reaction and preserve the remaining color.  I think it produced an interesting effect.

Jaded Blossom November Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends,
The Jaded Blossom team has another challenge for you!  This month it's ANYTHING GOES.We can't wait to see your creations.  The only rules is to use a Jaded Blossom product on your creation.
I'm finishing up my Christmas cards with the hopes of mailing them out early.  Today's design is one using some older stamps.  It's a simple design but I'm happy with way it turned out.This design is easy to do for multiples, especially when you use a MISTI or other stamping alignment tool.  I made a template and then stamped each section on the card bases.

The sentiment was stamped and then heat embossed with Gold Detail embossing powder.The ornaments were stamped one at a time.  I masked the red ornament before stamping the green one.Finally, I added gold thread ornament hanger bows.  I used two stamp sets for this design: Christmas Luggage Tag and Ornaments.

Pearly Sparkles' September Challenge ~ Pink, Pearls, and Sparkle

It's September and time to honor and remember our blog challenge founder, Traci. She loved anything pink especially with pearls and a little sparkle so that's our Pearly Sparkles' September challenge theme.
I have been wanting the Spellbinders Big Bold Blooms die set for awhile so I finally ordered it.  I can see why it's so popular; it's really fun to use.  The flower clusters made the perfect focal point on which to add some pearls and sparkle.

The sentiment, which is heat embossed with a clear sparkle powder, is from Jaded Blossom.

Jaded Blossom Fall 2022 Release ~ Sneak Peek Day 3

It's Day 3 of Jaded Blossom's Fall sneak peeks. We have another addition to our Floral Crown stamp line.  This time it's a sweet deer.

Along with a Jaded Blossom product, we're asking you to use Kraft paper on your project.I love the look of Kraft and have found that using ink, Prisma pencils, or Copics are all mediums that work well.
For my project I used stenciling with Distress Oxides and coloring with Copics on Neenah Desert Storm card stock.

Peace on Earth

It's my day to post on the Jaded Blossom Blog.
I'm continuing to use my blog post days to share Christmas cards.  That way I should be ready once it's time to get the cards in the mail.
Today's project is a little more subtle when it comes to Christmas cards but I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

The image was stamped and then heat embossed over the ink blended background.  After I placed the stamped image I die cut the stars and added  gold glimmer cardstock behind the stars.  Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment onto a velum strip and wrapped it around before adding the card face to the mats.
I used Altenew and Distress Inks inks for the blended background and these Jaded Blossom sets:Tree Scene stamp setElegant Holiday GreetingsHalloween Scenic Dies
