The Outlawz Festive Friday Monthly Challenge ~ May 2025

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's time for another Outlawz Festive Friday Challenge.
As always, there are four theme to choose from:
Christmas
Say it with Flowers
Ribbons and Bows
Let's Be Friends

I've chosen Say it with Flowers; a perfect theme since I'm making cards to send for Mother's Day.

Here's my card.

I used Pinkfresh Studio's Floral Field Die and Stencil set.
I used the stencil with Gina K Designs inks first and then cut it out using the die.  I cut an extra white set for stability.  Then, I used partial die cutting on the card base to make the shape card.
The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Mother's Day Stamp and Die set.

I love the way this card turned out.

We love looking at each of your entries as well.

Cut it Up Challenge #304 ~ Send Me Flowers

Hi Crafty Friends,

Our next Cut it Up challenge is posted on the CIU blog.
Our theme for challenge #304 is SEND ME FLOWERS.
Don't forget that you must follow the theme and include a die cut.

Here's my project using a stencil set from Pinkfresh Studio.

I heat embossed a Jaded Blossom sentiment onto velum and popped it up over the stenciled background mat which I cut out using a Jaded Blossom Scalloped Rectangle die.
All of the inks I used are also from Pinkfresh Studio.

I hope you'll play along with us.

Cut it Up Challenge #291 ~ Friends and Family

Hi Crafty Friends,

Time for Cut it Up challenge #291 ~ Friends and Family
Can you believe we only have four more challenges left in this year?  Time flies!!

Here's my card for this challenge.

I tried a new technique on this card, embossing on velum.  I used a 3D embossing folder from Altenew.
I ink blended some fall colors on 80# smooth card stock and then added the velum over it.  I lightly brushed some Altenew white pigment ink over the embossing to emphasize some of the design.  The scalloped frame is from Jaded Blossom and the sentiment was created using a Betterpress letterpress plate.  I cut the sentiment outline out three times and slightly offset each layer for some added detail.
A twine bow and some Spellbinders gold embellishments finished the card.

I hope you'll play along with us.  Just follow the link above.

Pearly Sparkles November Challenge ~ Winter or Christmas

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's time for another Pearly Sparkles challenge.  This is the last challenge of 2023.  The design team will take a break in December and then return with all new challenges in 2024!

Our final theme for the year is Winter or Christmas.

I have fallen in love with many of the Spellbinders floral die sets.  For this card, I'm using the Christmas Bird Poinsettia set and Altenew's 3D embossing folder, Organic Linen.  I used 110# white cardstock for all the die cutting and then used Altenew Crisp Dye inks to ink blend the pieces.

Can't wait to see your entry.

Hugs,
Larelyn

Cut it Up Challenge #283 ~ Animals on Parade

Hi Crafty Friends,

We are featuring Animals for our next Cut it Up challenge.
Our theme for #283 is "Animals on Parade."  We need to see an animal and, of course, a die cut.

I wanted to play with an inky background and LaLa Land Crafts has the perfect dies to go with the scene I created.

I had so much fun with a circle mask and Distress Oxides.  I love paper so much that I forget how pretty ink blended backgrounds can be.  The sentiment and sentiment strip is from Jaded Blossom

I hope you'll play along with us.  Just follow the link above.

Pearly Sparkles October Challenge ~ Fall or Halloween

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's October 1 and that means a new Pearly Sparkles challenge.
Our theme for October is Fall or Halloween.

I've had this background stamp from StamPendous for years so I decided it needed to be used.

I ink blended the background first and then splattered some gold paint over it.
I used Judi♥ Kins Chocolate Twinkle to heat emboss the stamped image.
Some layered matting, a little twine and a sentiment from My Craft Spot stamped on a Jaded Blossom mini tag finished the card.

I hope you'll play along with this month's challenge.

Jaded Blossom's Halloween Release ~ Final Sneak Peek

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I'm sharing a project made using our final item in the Jaded Blossom Halloween release
sneak peeks.
I hope you have the Clear Jar Stamp set because here is another Add On for your collection.

I moved away from cutesy for this project and let a little bit of the creepy/scary in.

I couldn't resist this bottle of "Skeleton Bones" candy so it became the inspiration
for my project.  All of the stamping was heat embossed for shine and dimension.

Jaded Blossom products used:
Clear Jar- Halloween Add On (NEW)
Mesh Stencil (NEW)

Our Halloween Release Blog Hop begins at midnight.  It will be your chance to purchase all of the release items and get the freebie stamp set, RIP, if your purchase is $40 or more before tax and shipping and to visit each design team member's blog to see even more fun and fabulous release week projects.

Here is today's final sneak peek set and also the freebie set.

Pearly Sparkles Monthly Challenge for October ~ Mostly Black and/or Purple

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's finally October - my birthday month! - and time for a new challenge at
Pearly Sparkles Challenge.

This month's challenge is to use mostly Black and/or Purple on your creation.
Here's what I designed.

I ink blended the background using Distress Inks mixed with a touch of glycerin.  I put Liquid Pixie Dust on a paint brush and flicked it over the background.  Not only did it add a touch of sparkle but the water base also reacted with the ink.
The stamp was one of the very first clear stamp sets I purchased when I began this journey oh so many years ago.  I don't even know the manufacturer - oops- but I love it, especially when the images are heat embossed.  It's really a very simple card but I think it's really pretty.

I hope you'll play along with us this month.  Be sure to visit the blog to see how other design team members responded to the challenge.

Thanks for visiting.
