BYSH Spring into Christmas Linky Party

Here's my first project.

I've foiled the Betterpress Society's Winter Sprigs Tree pressplate.  Then I used the stencils to add color and cut it out with the matching die.  The sentiment was pressed onto Betterpress paper and cut out with the matching die.  For a little added dimension, I offset the tree and added it to a mat that was embossed using Altenew's Organic Linen 3D embossing folder.

Our Linky party will be open from May 2-9.

Cut it Up Challenge #328 ~ Starts with a C

Hi Crafty Friends,
Are you ready for Easter.  Even though my "girls" are adults, we still love Easter Brunch, Easter Baskets, and Egg Hunts!!  How about you?
It's also time to share our next Cut it Up Challenge ~ Starts with a C.
This is one of the Easter cards I mailed out this year.

This is a mini stamp set from Jaded Blossom.  The dies are an add on.  The tag is also a Jaded Blossom as are the adorable glasses.

I designed this card for my hubby's birthday and then realized there were Cattails - woohoo.

The stamp is from Gina K designs and the stencil is from SCT.  I used Jaded Blossom's stitched ovals and card mat dies along with So Many Birthdays stamp and die.

Pearly Sparkles April 2025 Challenge ~ Monochrome

Hi Crafty Friends,
New month, new challenge at Pearly Sparkles.  April's challenge is "MONOCHROME."
I love working with stenciling and ink blending and this stamp and die cut set from Pinkfresh Studio seemed perfect for this challenge.

I've used Pinkfresh Studio's Joyful Day Betterpress plate, die and stencil, Dotted Scallops Cover Plate, and Double Stitched Fancy Frames.  The ink is from Gina K.

Outlawz Festive Friday Challenge ~ July

It's the first Friday of a new month (July) so time for a newOutlawz Festive Friday Challenge.

I've used my newest Betterpress Society plate (Summer Vibes) to create this card.

I ink blended the cloud background using Jaded Blossom's Clouds stencil and Distress Oxides.

Then I used the registration template to press the images using Betterpress Ink.

I foiled the sentiment - yes, you can use Betterpress plates with your Glimmer Foiling system - and cut it our using Pinkfresh Studio's Nested Arches.

This is an A2 topfold card.

Pearly Sparkles February Challenge ~ Have a Heart/Love

Hi Crafty Friends,
Time for a new Pearly Sparkles challenge.Our February challenge is "Have a Heart/Love".  It's open for your interpretation.
Here's my design team project.

I used a mini stencil that was in the Spellbinders Advent Calendar and added hearts instead of flowers.  All of the hearts were in my die cut stash.  The sentiment with matching die cut is from Jaded Blossom.

I stenciled on Spellbinders card stock using Pinkfresh Studio inks.

Always Fun Challenges #55 ~ CAS (Clean and Simple)

Hi Crafty Friends,
For Always Fun Challenges this week, we're going Clean and Simple.
This is most often my style of choice.   I wanted to try a new technique for my project.

I used a metal stencil (can be used for embossing or stenciling) and Distress Inks. After taping the stencil onto my watercolor paper, I used a fingertip sponge dauber to apply the ink and a chalking tool to add the small areas of shadow.  Finally, I used a water brush to lightly blend each area.  When I removed the stencil, this is how it turned out.  I love this technique!  Being a stamp colorist, it's hard for me to color/paint without lines but I love the free look of water coloring. This was a great solution until I get comfortable with this medium.
Just some matting and score lines for interest and I called it done.
