Cut it Up Challenge #357 ~ Friendship

Hi Crafty Friends,Here's my next project for Cut it Up Challenges.Challenge #357 is Friendship.

I had so much fun creating this card.  I used Gina K Designs Spring Things and Designer Dots stamp/die sets. I used the oldie but goodie Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder to add interest to the mat and Taylored Expressions Scattered Meadow background stamp.  Finally, Jaded Blossom Octagon Dies and Taylored Expressions A2 Stacklets for the mats.
We also have a special contest going on at Cut it Up.  When we reach 1000 followers we'll be having a drawing from all of the ENTRIES in the challenge in which 1000 is reached.  The prize will be a box of crafty goodness.  So play along, become a follower, and help us reach our goal.

I've used dies from Jaded Blossom and the Winter Wonder stencil from Taylored Expressions.  The background was stamped using the Sweater Weather background stamp from LaLa Land Crafts.

Cut it Up Challenge #339 ~ It Looks Like Fall

Hi Crafty Friends,
We are just a few days away from the first day of fall in the USA so it's fitting that our Cut it Up Challenge #339 theme is IT LOOKS LIKE FALL.
Here's my project.

For this card, I used Gina K inks to blend the background then stamped over it with Taylored Expressions Fineline Script background stamp and white ink.  The leaves were cut using Jaded Blossom's Fancy Leaves dies.  I added a cute little tag with a vellum shadow and a JB sentiment.

Double Trouble Challenge 195 ~ 3-2-1 "Inky Pinkies"

I have some exciting news to share.  I have just joined the Double Trouble Challenge design team!!It's such a unique and fun blog, I hope you'll take a look.

Our challenge has 3 options so you'll want to visit the blog for a detailed explanation.

Here's my first project as a designer (aka Sneetch)

Thing 1 Trouble Maker offers the 3-2-1 challenge which for this challenge is

3 colors - mine are blue, turquoise, and purple

2 images hand-stamped - I used Taylored Expressions Doodle Birds stamp and die set

1 sentiment - I used a sentiment from Jaded Blossom's Birds of a Feather set.

You can stop with Thing 1's challenge but to add a little more fun we have Thing 3 Twisted Sister's optional twist: shimmer and shine.  I added foiled cardstock dies and mat, metallic ink splatter using Yasutomo metallic paint, a heat embossed sentiment, and I used Ohuhu Glitter Markers (along with Copics) for my birds.

And finally, to support our sister challenge blogs, Thing 2's Double Dare is to use the upcoming TSOT sketch #674.  That post isn't live until Tuesday but you can see a sneak peek in the graphic above.

Cut it Up Challenge #248 ~ Spring

Hi Crafty Friends,
Woohoo!  We're celebrating the arrival of spring at Cut it Up Challenges.
Our sponsor, Taylored Expressions, provided the team some delightful products to use for their sponsorship.
Here's my card using the Spring Spray stamp set and coordinating die, and the Circles Masking Stencil set (LOVE!)

I heat embossed the image on watercolor paper and then painted with Kuretake Gansai Tambi paints.I used the masking stencil and the Jaded Blossom cloud stencil to create the background.  I also did some ink blending on the background and patterned paper edges.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Basic Word Die set. Finally, I added a few sequins to add a touch of bling.

Love Your Pets

The challenge theme at Sweet Stampin Challenges is LOVE YOUR PETS.
We are definitely dog people!  We've had dogs almost our entire married life. Many of our dogs are or have been hunting dogs but we've also had rescues that we've loved to pieces.  We're down to two dogs since our oldest crossed the rainbow bridge within the last year or two - it's always so hard to loose the dogs that have given you unconditional love.
With that in mind, here's my card for the challenge:

Cut it Up Challenge # 167 ~ Inspired by a LOVE SONG

Hi Crafty Friends, Our Cut it Up Challenge is INSPIRED BY A LOVE SONG. I've been listening to the LOVE channel on Sirius radio.  They've been playing many songs that take me way back to the groups and singers of my youth - I love listening and it has been great inspiration for this challenge. Here's my card inspired by Mariah Carey's LOVE TAKES TIME.

The heart border die is from Taylored Expressions, our challenge sponsor.  The clock is an unbranded die which I purchased at a local store before it went out of business.  The patterned paper is from a Doodlebug Designs 6x6 pack - some of my favorite papers are Doodlebug Designs.
