Pearly Sparkles August Challenge ~ Anything Goes

Hi Crafty Friends,

I want to share the newest monthly challenge at Pearly Sparkles.

This month's theme is ANYTHING GOES and we can't wait to see your creations.

This is a fun birthday card I made for my brother-in-law.

These Wonky Donkeys from Whimsy Stamps make me laugh.
And, they are so much fun to color.
I used Copic Markers for the coloring, an old DCWV texture stack for the background papers, and a Whimsy die for the card mat.

Hope you'll play along this month,

Cut it Up Challenge #231 ~ Create Your Own Background Paper

Hi Crafty Friends,

We're creating our own background papers for Cut it Up's challenge #231.

I used a LaLa Land Crafts Background stamp to create my patterned papers used for the castle and also the inside of the card.

I put Black Soot Distressed Oxide Ink on the stamp surface and placed the die cuts on the stamp and rubbed.  Then I did some additional ink blending using Hickory Smoke and a blending brush.
The project is an remake of one we did at the LaLa Land Crafts LaLa Paloosa Retreat several years ago.  The original was a larger 3-D interactive card created by a LLLC designer especially for the retreat.

It's so much fun to create your papers.  There are so many mediums to use and so many possibilities.  Be sure to visit the Cut it Up Blog to see more ideas from our design team and then share your own.

The winner of this challenge will win a $20 prize code from our sponsor,
CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

Happy Bird-Day!

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I'm sharing a card that I designed for several challenges.
So often I'm creating for my design team releases or challenges, but today I designed a card just to have fun with it and enter a few challenges myself.

Here's my card.

I used Jaded Blossom slim line dies, mini tag dies 2, and tropical flowers dies.  I also used LaLa Land Crafts island die, tropical leaves, and Birds of a Feather stamp set.
I cut all the die pieces using a Gemini Jr.  The bird was colored using Copic markers.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Cardz TV ~ #145 Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday ~ #690 Anything Goes with "summer" option
Through the Craft Room Door ~ Anything Goes

Bright Idea

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's my day to post on the Jaded Blossom Blog.

Today I'm sharing another category that I created for my Rolodex files.
Now I'll have a place to record some of my crafty ideas.

To make my category cover and index cards I used these Jaded Blossom products:

I hope you're finding clever ideas for your Rolodex file.  Be sure to share them with us at the
Jaded Blossom Garden of Creativity on Facebook.

Cut it Up Challenge #230 ~ Seen Any Good Movies?

Hi Crafty Friends,

It' time for another Cut it Up Challenge.

Our challenge rules are simple: use at least one die cut and follow the theme - easy peasy.

Our challenge sponsor, offering a $20 store credi, is PINK AND MAIN.

I sure have missed going to the movies and this card brings back those memories.

I used my three favorite stamp and die companies for this project.
The window card mat die is from Whimsy Stamps, the image is Marci, a Lala Land Crafts digi image, the sentiment, flag die, coffee cup, and film dies are from Jaded Blossom.
The popcorn was a free image I downloaded from Google.

I hope you'll play along with this challenge.  Just follow the Cut it Up link above.

Surgery Sucks!

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's my day to post on the Jaded Blossom Blog.

Today I'm sharing a post-surgery card that I made for a dear friend.
I chose a patriotic palette because she decorates in red, white, and blue year round.

Here's what I made.

Since she is a dog lover, I knew she would enjoy this sentiment!
I used these Jaded Blossom products along with Doodlebug Designs patterned papers:

I'm hoping this card will bring a smile to her face♥

Cut it Up Challenge #229 ~ Water

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's time for another Cut it Up Challenge.

Since summer is here we're making our challenge about water.  It's up to you to interpret how you represent the theme.
I'm using an image from our challenge sponsor, DRS Designs.

Here's my project ~

To create this card, I used LaLa Land Crafts new Shadow Box Die.  It's the first time I've used it and it truly has endless possibilities.  I colored using Copic Markers.

I hope you'll play along with us for this challenge.  Just link your project to the Cut it Up link above.
