Bundle Up, Baby

It's Wonderful Wednesday at My Paper Crafting.  The CWC (craft with cutters) gals are sharing Cricut projects that feature winter items to keep you warm and cozy.

I chose this darling cap from the Winter Woodland cartridge.  The papers are Echo Park and
Bo Bunny.  I added Frosted Lace Stickles for a furry effect and heat embossed the sentiment so it would show up better. The ribbon is American Crafts.   You will see more projects when you visit MPC.  This is our challenge day so be sure to create your "Bundle Up" project, including a Cricut cut, and add it to the post.

Off to a card class at my Local Scrapbook store - fun times!!!

Welcome to Day 2 of the 25 Days of Crafting
The My Paper Crafting designers are sharing January projects today. For our "Winter Sparkle" theme
I created this A2 card using the Winter Woodland cartridge.

The snowflakes are from MS hand punches and I've used Stickles to add sparkle and a snowy effect.  All of the papers are shimery but it's a little difficult to tell.

Melin is offering a FREE cutfile and a FREE digi to go along with today's theme.  To pick up your freebies, just visit My Paper Crafting and then follow the link to Paper Crafting World

There are some fabulous projects being shared today, including the first calendar page, which you'll see when you visit.  Be sure to click on each designer's blog link to get all the details for each project and leave a little bloggie love.

Thanks

The designers at Delightful Challenges were asked to create projects reflecting the THANKFUL theme.  The projects can be for Thanksgiving, a thank you, or something you're thankful for.
I just love this image of Thankful Flurry from Digital Delights by Louby Loo

Instead of a card I chose to make a tag that could be attached to a gift bag.  The holly was cut from Cricut's Winter Woodland cartridge and the tag from George and Basic Shapes.  I colored Flurry with Copics and then used Frosted Lace Stickles for the fur on his hat.  Some rickrack trim and ribbons from my stash finished the tag.

I invite you to join in our challenge by linking your THANKFUL project to  Delightful Challenges.

Make Some Music

It's Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut.
This week's theme is "Make Some Music".
Cards must include a musical instrument or musical note and, of course, a Cricut cut.

I found this gorgeous paper in the DCWV Four Seasons stack and knew I had to use it.  I used my patterned paper template (see the Quick Tip tab) to select just the right part of the paper I wanted to cut.  Since the paper can almost stand alone, I didn't want to add much else so I chose one of the Angels from the Christmas cartridge and the Joy sentiment from Winter Woodland.
I hope you'll join in the fun this week.  Just link your design to Fantabulous Cricut's Challenge Me Monday.

Did you notice that I've added some tabs to my blog?
If you select the Quick Tip tab, you'll find links to all of the Quick Tip Tuesday ideas that I've shared at Fantabulous Cricut.  I hope you'll take a look and maybe find some helpful ideas.

Also, many thanks to Tanya (Nonna's Craft Corner) who shared how to add the "linkwithin" feature to my posts.  I always enjoy this feature on other blogs and often will select one of the links.
Thanks, again, Tanya!

Hugs and Happy Crafting,

Santa's Slackers Card Challenge

Sandi at Sandi's Added Touch and Joy at Purtty Paperz have started a Christmas Card challenge called Santa's Slackers (cute name, huh?)  They are posting a new sketch every Monday in the Cricut Card Forum (www.Cricut.com/messageboard)  and also on their blogs (just click the links above.)  Just think how far ahead you'll be with your Christmas Card stash if you participate.  It sounded too good for me to pass up and I'm hoping that I'll find THE card that will become my holiday card to be mailed to friends and family.

Here is this week's challenge card.  It is supposed to be 5x7 (oops, didn't read that part carefully!), have a cricut cut (mine is the snowflake from Home Accents), and have some bling.  I also used the Cuttlebug Snowflakes embossing folder.

This second card is the first sketch Sandi posted.  It is a square card which I don't often make because square cards require extra postage!  The papers came embossed and shiny so I didn't have to do much.  The sentiment, square, and scalloped square are from Winter Woodland.

I invite you to join in the challenge.  It's a great way to get card ideas.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn
