Pearly Sparkles May Challenge ~ Traci's Recipe Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends,

Our May challenge at Pearly Sparkles honors our dear Traci who began this challenge blog but passed late last year.  Traci's favorite design elements were PINK, PEARLS, and SPARKLES so this recipe/theme is in her honor.

I used some lovely Crafter's Companion patterned paper as the base for this project.  The tag was also included in the subscription box as were the ribbon and pearls.  I added a frame for the tag using one of Jaded Blossom's new Doily dies.  The teapot is a wooden element I picked up at my local scrap book store.  For the sparkle I added Wink of Stella to the doily before popping the tag onto it.

Please join us in honoring Traci.  We look forward to seeing your pink, pearls, and sparkles ♥

Die Cuttin' Divas #417 ~ Anything Goes

Hi Crafty Friends,

Woohoo!  It's ANYTHING GOES at Die Cuttin' Divas.

I made this sweet card for my friend's daughter's baby shower.
The theme was Mermaids.

I loved designing this shaker card using La-La Land's sweet mermaid Marci. I colored her using Copic markers.  La-La Land Crafts also has some wonderful under-the-sea dies so I used quite a few from different sets to create the scene.  The sentiment was one of the Crafter's Companion Advent Calendar dies.  I added a gift card inside the card using the Jaded Blossom gift card die.

We can't wait to see one of your projects for this AG challenge.  Just follow the link above.

Die Cuttin' Divas #416 ~ Red and Purple

Hi Crafty Friends,
We're honoring the wonderful Red Hat Society Ladies with today's challenge at
Die Cuttin' Divas.

I had a very dear friend who was the Queen of the group in our town.  Boy, did those ladies have some great times together!  The ladies are known for wearing their wonderful red hats to their different functions.  If one is not quite of the "senior" age, then her hat must be purple.
My card is an homage to my dear friend who passed in November.

I found this hat in the Silhouette Design Store.  I decided to cut 2 feather to add a bit of dimension.  The dotted papers are from Doodlebug Designs.  I love their bright, clear color choices.  The sentiment if from the Peacock set by Jaded Blossom.

I hope you'll join in the fun ~ red, purple, and a die cut.

My Time to Craft Challenge #395 ~ Spring Flowers

Hi Crafty Friends,

Here's my second post for this busy crafty Friday.
We're celebrating with spring flowers at My Time to Craft.

I fell in love with this floral frame die from Pretty Pink Posh.
There are so many ways it can be used but I decided to color the flowers using Copic markers.  I cut two frames then cut off the flowers from one so that I could add a frame to the flowers giving it more dimension.  I used Distress Ink Oxide on the separated frame.  The background was stamped with the same ink using the Hello Lovely background stamp from La-La Land Crafts.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Spring Signs.

I'm excited to try even more designs using this fabulous die.  I hope you'll join in our challenge.
Just link your project to our blog (see above.)

Cut It Up Challenge #172 ~ Butterflies or Bugs

Hi Crafty Friends,

This is the first post for a busy crafting Friday!
Our challenge at Cut it Up is Butterflies or Bugs.

The DT members were able to select files from our sponsor,
The Dreaming Tree
I love using these files with my Silhouette.  They have such wonderful dimension and if the project seems complicated, there is a video tutorial for each one.  I made this amazing Dragonfly.

The file comes sized to fit inside a shadow frame but I sized down to make a large card.
I used AC card stock and added pearls to the perimeter.  The dragonfly wings have vellum in the centers or you could used a mirrored or marbled acetate.

I hope you'll join in this challenge.  We're looking for Butterflies or bugs and don't forget a die cut.

Sweet Treat for Easter

Hi Crafty Friends,
I'm trying to finish up my Easter projects since I'm going to spend Easter in Louisiana with my daughter.  We're having an extended girls' weekend so no crafting for me, but I know we'll have fun.
The monthly challenge at Jaded Blossom is CAS.  I wanted to make Easter treats for my great nephews.  Although they're teenagers, I still like to keep up the tradition.  This lollipop treat was super simple and doesn't look too cutesie.
I used JB's Sweet Treats die, Mini tag dies, and Easter Treats 2 stamp set.
Along with Jaded Blossom's April Challenge,
I'm entering Crazy4Challenges #479 - Anything but a Card and
Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog - Spring/Easter

Die Cuttin' Divas ~ Challenge #415 Use Any Animal

Hi Crafty Friends,
For this week's Die Cuttin' Divas challenge you can use any animal.
I'm still working on Easter projects so I used bunnies.

For this cute little treat holder I used some great Authentique papers and the Candy Caddy die from Jaded Blossom.  The bunny dies are from Impression Obsession and the watering can is part of the new Whimsy Stamp release.  I found these yummy crispy carrot candies to put in the treat holder.

Die Cuttin' Divas ~ Challenge #414 Celebrating National Library Day

Hi Crafty Friends,
In honor of National Library Day (April 9) we want to share something
Reading related for our Die Cuttin' Divas challenge.

Your project can be a book title, character, bookmark, anything to do with books.

I used Jaded Blossom's Ticket Book die to make a bookmark.

This cute little bookworm is from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  I cut the pre colored version out using my Scan N Cut2.  I also added the heart and word using Jaded Blossom dies.

I hope you'll join us in celebrating the wonders of reading!
Just add your project to the link above.

Jo's Scrap Shack ~ Fun-day Friday Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's Team A's turn to share our inspiration for Fun-day Friday Challenge #276.
Remember, our challenges are always ANYTHING GOES.
This week's sponsor is Digital Delights by Louby Loo.
As I designed this project I felt like I was working with an old friend since Wendy, the owner and creator of Digital Delights by Louby Loo, gave me my first opportunity to design using digital stamps.  I designed for her for over 5 years!
Here's my project using two elements from the Mother's Day Value Set.

The images were colored using Copic Markers.  I added Distress Stickles to surround the oval on the inside of the card.  The window was created using Jaded Blossom Stitched and Scalloped Oval dies.
The leaves die is unbranded.  The patterned papers are from Doodlebug Designs.

I hope you'll join in our challenge.  Our sponsor is offering a $5.00 gift voucher to the DD store.

I would like to enter this card in The Pink Gem challenge  ~ week 6, Anything Goes
