Happy Fall Y'All

We are welcoming fall at Delightful Challenges.
I've used Screechy the Crow from Digital Delights by Louby Loo for this card.
Screechy is colored with Copics.  I also used the argyle Cuttlebug embossing folder and an EK Success corner punch.  The flowers are from my stash using the Martha Stewart branch punch for the foliage.  I added liquid applique to the flower centers and then heat set them to cause the applique to "wrinkle."
The sentiment is the Leafy Fall Sentiment, also from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

Autumn Greetings

Hello Crafty Friends,

It's finally fall and I'm so ready for the weather change!  It's my day to post on the Paper Crafting World Design Team Blog. I'm sharing a fall card using the Acorn  N' Flourish cut file.

The patterned paper mats are from the DCWV Harvest Gathering Stack . The acorns and flourish were cut from my patterned paper scraps.  I love using patterned paper for the various parts of the cut files.  To add some dimension, I cut two flourishes and staggered them.  I also cut 2 each of the acorn caps.  All the edges are inked and I tied American Crafts twine for embellishment along with the 3 gems.

Here's a closer look at the layering.

This is the PCW cut file used:

I've Got News to Share!

Have you visited Digi My World?
Ann Kelly is the digital artist who creates the adorable digital stamps for this online store.
She is in the process of revamping her Digi My World blog and has asked me to be one of her designers!!!
Woohoo!
I accepted because 1) I LOVE coloring digital stamps, and 2) her stamps are very different from the other artists for whom I design.  She has a little bit more primitive style and I am sooooo excited to share my projects with you beginning in October.
As a preview and also to help me share my good news, I've used one of the images from the
Hayrides set to create this card.

Here are all the images included in this set.
Now for some REALLY good news!  Ann is looking for more designers.  If you think you'd be interested in applying for the team, you can read about the DT call HERE.
Please pass the word to your fellow digi users as well.
The brand new design team and DMW blog will debut the week of October 7.  My post day will be Wednesdays (every other week).  I hope you'll add this to your list of blogs to visit.

Buttons and Bows

Such a fun theme for this week's challenge at Delightful Challenges.

I'm using Crafty Mouse from Digital Delights by Louby Loo for my Buttons and Bows project.
The design paper is from The Robin's Nest - this week's prize sponsor.

The buttons are from my stash.  Each is threaded with American Crafts twine.  The ribbon is some of my hand-died Hug Snug seam binding.

I hope you'll join us this week at Delightful Challenges.
The Robin's Nest is offering a $15 gift certificate this week.

Fall Butterflies

Hey Crafty Friends,
Now don't faint!  I have another LAYOUT to share with you today.  I know, I'm getting a pretty good collection of completed pages - guess I'd better start adding some photos!!
This layout was a kit from Page-Kits - the sister site to Paper Crafting World.
I received the kit as a gift and thought it was time to assemble it.  It was so easy with all the pieces pre-cut.  All I had to do was, spritz, ink, curl, add pearls, and adhere everything to the pages.
Page-Kits.com is a great site to pick up page kits, premade pages, and paper piecings.
Although this particular kit is no longer available, the cut files used will be available at
Paper Crafting World.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I appreciate your visit and love it when you take the time to leave a comment.

A Little Bit of Halloween

Good Morning, Crafty Friends
Today I have two projects featured over at Digital Delights by Loo.
I created these fun cards to share with my Copic Class gals.
Our lesson for the month is adding clouds to our backgrounds so I thought this first image was perfect.
This is the Spookily Night digi from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.
I cut the image out using a Spellbinders circle and then matted it with the scalloped circle.

I've entered this card in
Graph' It Colour Challenge "Halloween colors"

My gals love doing things other than cards so I decided on this pillow box (cut from the Easter cartridge)
The image is Boiling in the Pot which is a "bargain" image from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.
I used Spellbinders scalloped ovals to cut out the image and mat.
I also added Stickles to the image for a little interest and dimension.
I've entered this card in
Inspire Me Fridays "Anything Goes"
The Corrosive Challenge "Maiden, Mother, Crone."
I hope my gals will enjoy these projects.  I sure had fun creating them.  They were 2 of the 11 projects I finished during last week's 3-day crop at my LSS.  So much fun!!!!

New Beginnings

This week the Delightful Challenges gals will be celebrating New Beginnings - new job, new home, new baby . . .
This is a perfect challenge for me since my youngest daughter just began a new job.
I've made this card using Digital Delights by Louby Loo's "Jubbly Turtle."

The mats are Spellbinders Labels 11.  The "ruffle" is a strip of the patterned paper that I fussy cut along the ruffle.  The ribbon is my own hand-died crinkle ribbon accented with some Crafter's Floss.  A little VersaMagic Chalk ink and some pearls finished the card.

Please join our challenge by linking your "New Beginnings" project to the Delightful Challenges blog.

Celebrating Fall

Hi Everyone,
Just got back from 3 fabulous days of crafting at my local scrapbook store, Memories for the Making
in Lodi, California.  I got so many projects completed and I'll be sharing some of them with you over the next few weeks.

Today is my turn to post on the Design Team blog for Paper Crafting World.
I'm so happy to be designing around the fall theme.  I just love the oranges, yellows, greens, and browns that represent the season.
Here's my card:
PCW cut file used: Pumpkins Corner Vine
The papers are the DCWV Amber Autumn Stack and Bo Bunny Vintage Dots.  I made the crinkle ribbon using Hug Snug seam binding and Ranger Distressed Stain.

I used the backside of the Bo Bunny dots paper for the leaves and inked all the edges with Powder Puff Chalking Ink in Mocha Mama.  I used my Pazzles Electronic Cutter to cut the pieces.

Here's the file I used:

I'm entering in the following challenges:
The Corrosive Challenge "#182 All About Fall"
Paper Playtime "Use 3 different papers"
Unstampabelles Challenge "Use scraps and old stash" - the background papers are from a DCWV stack I purchased 2 years ago.

While at the 3-day crop, we were provided with daily Make n Takes.  This is a double page layout that we were given.  There was lots of room to determine our own mat location and how many we wanted to add.  I also added the doodling to highlight different parts of the layout.

Thanks for stopping by today.  If you're feeling like you want to start in on your fall projects,  be sure to head to Paper Crafting World for you digital prinatables and cut files.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,

A Fall Layout

Hello Crafty Friends,
I love September because it's still summer but it's time to start thinking about fall, especially when it comes to designing projects.
For today's post, I've created a single page layout using cut files from
Paper Crafting World.
The background paper is an older DCWV stack called Indian Summer Fall Stack.  The mats and cuts for the spray and title are from Bo Bunny vintage Dots papers.
Here's a close up of the title.  It's the PCW Fall Title cut file
This is a close up of the PCW Fall Spray cut file.  I inked the leaves and acorns before adhering them to the project.
Finally, a closer look at the ribbon, buttons, and twine I used to decorate the corners.  I found the wooden buttons at JoAnn a few years back.  The twine and ribbon are by American Crafts.
The My Paper Crafting/Paper Crafting World designers have moved to the PCW Blog.
You can find our projects HERE.
Paper Crafting World also has an active Facebook page.  It would be wonderful if you'd visit the page and "Like" us.  Just click HERE.
I'm entering this layout in the My Sheri Crafts "Fall Colors" challenge.
