Thanks Snow Much!

Hi Crafty Friends,
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
Today is my design team day for Paper Crafting World.

I'm using the Snowman Sign cut file from PCW.  It's a such a cute little snowman and so easy to assemble.  I didn't use the actual sign that comes with file because I wanted to use a thank you sentiment instead.

I love how Doodlebug Designs paper cuts so easily with the Silhouette.  I also used VersaMagic chalk ink to add a little dimension to the cuts.  The candies are also from Doodlebug Design and the sentiment is from the Winter Wishes set by Jaded Blossom.  I used Jaded Blossom's Card Mat Dies, Stitched Square dies, and Border dies as well.

I won't be posting again until after the New Year.  So until then, I'm wishing you a
Very Happy New Year!!!

Looking Back at Clear it Out Challenges

Hi Crafty Friends,
Happy Christmas Week.  Are you as busy as I am?  It's gotten down to priorities now.  I may have "wanted" to do something but now I'm getting only the necessities done!  Eeek, I'm such a procrastinator - that and I tend to say yes when a friend or family member needs something at the last minute - oh well.

Clear it Out Challenges is posting this week but we are revisiting favorite projects from throughout 2015.  I've chosen my July 7 projects.  All of the images are from the "Make a Joyful Noise" set by
Deedees Digis.  This card just makes me happy.  I love the sentiment and the image.

Be sure to visit Clear it Out and see the rest of the DT's favorites.  Some members have even created new projects.

Well, my friends, this is my final post before Christmas.
Have a wonderful, joyful Christmas.  May you and your family be blessed with love and happiness.

Merry Christmas!

Floating Nativity Ornament

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I'm sharing a floating ornament I made using the Nativity CF from Paper Crafting World.
I made several ornaments last year and really enjoy giving them as gifts.  When I saw Melin's Nativity cut file, I knew it would be perfect for a floating ornament.

To create the ornament you need a transparency sheet ( left over from years of teaching), vinyl (I used Oracal 651 glossy), and a clear glass ornament (mine is from Hobby Lobby).

I have a cut file for the ornament-shaped transparency and just cut it out using the sticker sheet setting with the blade set at 1.  Actually I cut out an entire page of them so that they'll ready when I want to make more.  I used transfer tape to lift the Nativity off the vinyl backing and adhere it to the ornament shape.  I poured some sequins into the ornament (tried glitter first and it stuck everywhere I didn't want it LOL) and then rolled the transparency around a pencil and placed it in the ornament.  It opens on it's own and you can move it using tweezers if you need to.  Some glitter tape, a hanger, and a bow finished this simple project.  I think it's very pretty.

The PCW Design Team will be posting throughout December so be sure to check in with us often.  Our monthly challenges will return in January.

I hope you're enjoying the holidays.  It's a crazy wonderful time and busy, busy, busy.  I'll be posting occasionally until the New Year.  Then my design teams will return to full speed.

Cut It Up Challenge #86 ~ Winter

Hi Crafty Friends,

Challenge #86 is Winter.  For my die cut, I used my new Sizzix die, Winter Deer.

I added a flock of geese using Technique Tuesday's Appreciated stamp.  The "snow" was embossed with Cuttlebug's Dotted Swiss folder and I added a few Frosted Lace Stickles to the tree silhouettes.  The star is from Jaded Blossom Christ is Born stamp set.  I stamped in gold and then added yellow Wink of Stella.

I hope you'll join in our Winter challenge.  Don't forget your die cut.

Hi Crafty Friends,

I'm using Fishing Foxy.

Foxy is colored with Copic markers.  I used Jaded Blossom Winter Dies and Tropical Dies to create the scene.  Some Scrapper's Spool twine and Doodlebug Designs sprinkles finished the card.

Clear It Out Challenge #100

Hi Crafty Friends,
I'm so sorry it's been awhile since my last post.  I actually had a week break from design team projects but I'll be sharing 3 this week.

Today's card is for Clear it Out Challenge #100!  The theme and stash item is ANYTHING GOES.
I've used this adorable Santa Daniel image from Deedee's Designs - one of our challenge sponsors.

I used my Lawn Fawn stitched rectangles to cut out the image and sentiment.  The snowflake was found in my stash (I think it's a punch) along with the patterned paper.  I colored the image with Copics and added Frosted Lace Stickles to all the "fur" and ruffles.

Come join our last challenge of 2015 by adding your card HERE.

Make It Sparkle

Hi Crafty Friends,

Challenge #85 is up at Cut It Up Challenge.  Our theme is CHRISTMAS - make it sparkle using sequins.  I resisted sequins for so long and now I love using them.  It's much easier to mail a card with sequins rather than gems and you still get your "bling."

Here's my project:

I used a Darice Snowflake embossing folder and then added snowflakes die cuts from the Jaded Blossom Winter Dies.  I also die cut the tag from JB's Mini Tag Dies 2 and added a sentiment from JB's Christmas Wishes stamp set.  The sequins are from Doodlebug Designs.

This challenge is being sponsored by
As Cute as a Button.

Be sure to follow the theme and don't forget to use a DIE CUT.

Delightful Monthly Challenge #5

Hello Crafty Friends,
Happy Thanksgiving to those of you celebrating in the U.S!!!

Today's post is for Delightful Challenges by Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  It is the final challenge of 2015 but our challenges will return on the 4th Thursday of each month in 2016.
Our challenges are always ANYTHING GOES but you must use a stamp, digital or rubber.

I'm using the Holly Tree digital stamp and a sentiment from the Christmas Hugs set.

I love making shaker cards especially using my WRMK Fuse tool - so easy to make flat pockets so the cards are still easy to mail.  I colored the tree with Copic markers and used Jaded Blossom Stitched Circle dies and Scallop Circle dies for the frames.  I found this fun holly confetti at Michael's.

Head on over to the Challenge blog and enter our final challenge of the year.  You'll have until December 17th to enter.  Winners for this challenge will be announced along with our Guest Designer's post on December 31.

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's Clear it Out Challenge #99.  The theme for this challenge is CHRISTMAS with the stash item, GLITTER.  Our challenge sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps.  I've used the Elephant and Christmas Tree image which was a freebie.

I used Wink of Stella brush glitter on the ornaments and star.  I also used Stickles Frosted Lace on the stockings and Santa hat.  The green mat was cut out of DCWV glitter card stock.  I also used Jaded Blossom's Stitched Square dies and a sentiment from JB's Watt's Up stamp set. The image was colored with Copic markers.

A Furry Christmas to You!

Hi Crafty Friends,

For my post today at Paper Crafting World, I'm using a cute print n cut file from the PCW store.

The is the Dog w Present n Santa Hat PNC file.
I printed and cut two images so that I could fussy cut one present and pop it up on the base image.  I added yellow Wink of Stella to the ribbon and bow and Puffy sparkly embossing powder to the hat along with a bit of Glossy Accents on the nose.
The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Christmas Tweetings which I stamped and heat embossed with white.  I also used Jaded Blossom's Flag Dies and Border Dies, then finished off with a button and twine bow.
Don't forget our November challenge - anything goes with a twist of RED (twist is optional).  You can find the challenge by clicking the badge on my sidebar.

Thanks for stopping by.

Meowy Christmas

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's time for Clear It Out Challenge #98.  The challenge is to use white as your dominant color and anything goes for your stash item.
I've used a cute image from our sponsor, Sami Stamps, called Ornament Kitty.
To create my image frame, I used Jaded Blossom's Stitched Circles dies and Lawn Fawn's Stitched rectangles.  I traced inside the circle with a silver pen and added sequins.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Meow and Forever stamp set.  I colored with Copic markers and added silver Wink of Stella covered that with clear embossing powder which I heat set.

Apple of My Eye

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today is my day at Paper Crafting World.

For today's project I made a cute little tag using the
Bear with Caramel Apple cut file from Paper Crafting World.

The Luggage Tag is a die from Jaded Blossom.  The sentiment is a sticker from my stash.

I cut the file using my Silhouette.  I added CTMH liquid glass to the caramel and finished the tag with a tule bow and Doodlebug Designs sequins.

Our November challenge will be up soon but if you'd like to work ahead I'll tell you that the theme is
ANYTHING GOES with the twist of USE RED.  Remember, the twist is optional.

Sweets for My Sweet

Hi Crafty Friends,
Cut it Up Challenge #83 is now open.  The theme is Sweets for my Sweet.
I decided to make a cute little Halloween tweet for a special 4 year old.  The pumpkin treat box is from the Silhouette online store.  This file comes with 4 different Jack O'Lantern faces.
The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Candy Wraps set and it's stamped on one of the JB Mini Tag Dies 2.   I added some inking using VersaMagic Chalk Ink - gingerbread.

Clear it Out challenge #97

Hi Crafty Friends,

Our challenge this time is Halloween or Christmas and the stash item is a DIE CUT.
I'm using an image from our sponsor, SLS Lines, which is a Sugar Skull.

The Sugar Skull is not actually a Halloween image but rather one used during the celebration of
Dia de Los Muertos which joyfully honors the dead.  To that end, I wanted to keep my design truer to that tradition rather than the Halloween colors and embellishments.

I used Spectrum Aquas to color the image and then covered it entirely with clear Wink of Stella.
The mat is the large Spellbinders Fleur de Lis die.  I used a gold Pilot Paint Marker to draw the borders on the card base and image mat and then added a prima flower.

You can join in this challenge by linking up to the Clear it Out challenge blog.

Pumpkin, Pumpkin

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today is my day at Paper Crafting World.

Today I've used the Pumpkin cut file to create two shape cards.

I imported the file into my Silhouette software and then created an offset which I duplicated and then welded together to create the card base.  I added face features from a Silhouette file to create the Jack O'Lantern and a flag with leaves and a sentiment for the fall pumpkin.  A little doodling on both and these quick and easy cards are ready to send.

You could cut the pieces and let your youngsters create fun cards for friends and family members.

Don't forget our October Challenge.  You have this week left to enter.

Just link your project (using a PCW product) HERE.

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's time for another Digital Delights Monthly Challenge.  It's always ANYTHING GOES but you must use a stamp (digital or rubber).
My project uses Chimney Cat from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  I also used the Sending Warm Winter Wishes sentiment.

I colored with Copic markers adding Frosted Lace Stickles for the snow and fur on the hat.  I created the rooftop using Jaded Blossom's Border dies and Winter dies.  The patterned paper is from Doodlebug Designs as are the sequins.  I also added Frosted Lace Stickles to the rooftop and puffy embossing powder (heat set) to the icicles.

You can join our challenge HERE or by clicking the button on my sidebar.  This challenge will be open for THREE weeks since there's an extra Thursday in October.
Looking forward to seeing your project!!!
